The Girl Child And Sex! When African Mothers Make Mistakes.

African Mothers are out-and-out disciplinarians. They can flog sense into a Child's brain in a flash. An average African Child knows the whereabouts of a particular rod, specially contrived to romance his/her body at the slightest dare. Beautiful enough, a black skinned child becomes a practical psychoanalyst at a very tender age. He/she makes no mistake in decoding mother's eyes movement. When an African Mother coughs, she's likely passing a message her children understand. A girl reading my blurb would remember how her mum would scratch the ground, with her foot, in a gathering, just to let her know she wasn't sitting the right way, as she was expected to sit in a way that would not alter the dark of her privates. I would necessarily google my mother's eyes to seek approval before passing the hat on anything offered by a stranger. If not, the delicacy of the candy or sweetmeat would not be a match to my Mum's hot slaps. Oh! African Mothers condone no-nonsense, only those children, who practiced peanut stealing can explain. After being beaten like he/she is disgusting, a child caught stealing would be made to go hungry for hours. In my continent, parents teach their children, how to talk in public, how to dress modestly, how not to be gluttonous, how to relate with elders, how to eat without beating the plate, how to greet, how to cook, how to wake up early, how to read for exams, how to be orderly and well behaved, how to run errands, how to pray and so many 'how to(s)', but won't cram them with: how to fall in love without breaking bones, how to deal with sexual urge, how sex feels, how to relate with the opposite sex, and, how to go about birth control and/or safe sex. So, since the failure to plan is a good plan to fail, who teaches African ladies the rudiments of sex and the different styles they explore in bed? Their mothers! How? The next paragrah!

When a sex nine-to-fiver(Olosho) is your guest for business, if you can convince her, she would prepare a very delicious meal that you would not want to exhaust in a giffee. She learnt it from her Mum. Little wonder, a runs girl would still sit with her laps closed. She learnt that, too, from her Mum. An average African Mother recites to her daughter(s), "run away from boys". She tells her children how guys could be dangerous, how the only good a boy can offer is: impregnate ladies and dump them. How a handshake with a boy could mean a nine month off. She only teaches her daughters how sex is a Sin. Some even cage their females, while some would threaten fire if they ever saw their daughters with boys. Many grown up African Women would even gossip their neighbours' daughters found gamboling with males, they call such girls names and treat them with disdain and contempt. Unfortunately, the realities of life is not favourable to such disciplines. It happens that a girl programmed to stay away from boys shares space with same in the classroom and is compelled to relate. In the make ready of such ordinary ties-up, a girl finds boys more accommodating and fun to be with. She discovers how her newly found boyfriend is nothing close to the danger zone her mum has made of his likes. She begins to see the lies and/or exaggerations in her mum's rhetorics and takes other steps forward. Haven discovered faults in her mum's voice, the innocent then runs to friends, either male or female, to ask questions meant for a mother. She falls in love with one charming guy in class, but, Not trusting her mum's judgement(her mum must not even hear of her falling in love) she asks her new-found lover questions meant for her Mum. "How does it feel like to have sex?" "Is sex really bad?" She feels some heat between her legs and discovers she's wet. Not trusting what her mum's ruling would be, she would still have to confide in her new-found guy. Believing what the guy has to say, "I'll stay by you forever," "I'll die for you," "I'll make you my wife," and so many other emotional ABCs, the only thing stopping her from allowing the man acces to her pant is, "but my mum said sex was a sin, and that it was bad." Trust the hot demon, he has the answer already," "if sex is that bad and should be avoided, how did they come by you ? Seriously, I love you... and won't do anything to hurt you. If you love me too, allow me this once." What more do an ignorant doll face need to give in? She eats the fruit and knows what it tastes like. She now wants to enjoy it better, and, willing to blow her boy's mind in bed, she researches styles, practices them, gets thumbs up, and becomes addicted.

On the other hand, girls who are fortunate to have less-unsparing mothers, who school them on love, sex, birth control etc, grow up to be stronger, more confident and informed. When they say 'no' they mean it. Some of them make virgins of themselves. What would a guy tell them about sex that their Mums have not told them? They are independent and worship their hymen. They dream of the right Man and have their standard set. Don't mind them. They already know that men are friendly, fun to be with, and caring. Mum had already told them how beautiful it is to fall in love. That men are not dangerous but could do anything to get under one's pant, makes sense to them. When they are getting overwhelmed with sweet talks, romantic, erotic and lovey-dovey voices, they run home to ask questions, and, trust their Mums, they would be schooled most affectionately. Even, when they make mistakes, they cry and tell mum everything and she knows what to do. So, it's easier for them to get back on their feet and move on.

Anyways, when I become a parent, I will tell my daughter(s), how falling in love is pretty. How it is possible to be in a relationship without giving in to sex. How beautiful Hanky panky is, when delayed till the wedding night. How sex is meant only for the married. How risky it is to make love before working down the aisle. How she should feel free to introduce to me, her boyfriend and how I'm always available to answer her questions on Love, sex and relationship.

seriously? 7days on an 8k battery? well, the laptop takes up abt 40-50watts and 18-19v. By dividing 50wstt by 19v, u get a 2.6a consumption per hr st 100% efficiency. now 18ah battery divided by 2.6a is abt 7hrs. so u can only get 7hrs from an 18ah battery if u are to drain it from 100%-0%. obviously, u will get less hrs.

Honestly, this mtn thing is slavery. It's highly limiting and since many Nigerians are ignorant abt solar systems, they easily get fascinated by the stories of marketers of this power bank. Let's see....

1. 100watt mono panel = 25k (mtn Lumos is 80watt)
2. 30a charge controller = 13k (with 6k, u can get it from aliexpress or jumia overseas shipping. Buy 2 just incase. u know China now)
3. 100ah battery = 50k (+-5k-10k depending on type. Note that mtn Lumos is just arnd 26ah)
4. 2000watt inverter = 25k (this one will power ur led 32incher tv) ( u can also get a local inverter. most start at 25k for 1kva)
5. 10watt ac bulbs = 1k each (6pcs will be 6k)
6. Wires and miscellaneous = 5k

Total estimate = 124k. (note that this is an estimate and prices will vary slightly based on ur location and type of products u buy.)

with this set up,
ur battery will charge at 100watt/12v= 8a per hr. so for ur 100ah battery, u need 100/8= 12.5hrs of sunlight to take it from 0 to 100%. also note that efficiency ain't 100% so assume 70-80% efficiency of panels which means longer charging time. For practical purposes however, I don't expect u to use ur battery to 0%. I expect u shouldn't go below 50% usage to extend it's lifespan. more so, at 50%, the battery shld return to 100% in like 7-8hrs based on the above setup.

For load,
6 bulbs is 60watt
laptop is arnd 50watts
led TV is abt 150watts
decoder 15watts
DVD player 30watts
standing fan 50watts

I assume these things could be used simultaneously for most people. thus..
total = 355 watts (even a 1000watt inverter shld handle this.) also note that rated power of inverters are just max output. during actual usage, continuous supply is said to be half its capacity. eg, if ur need is 500watts, u need a 1000watt inverter.

now recall our 355watts power need?
355/12v =30amps.
since battery is 100ah, we can only get 3hrs power with the above setup.

If we remove the TV and by extension decoder and dvd, we have like abt 7hrs power supply. always remember that efficiency can't be 100%.
For me though, with a TV card, I can watch TV through my laptop so I need not power my TV. more so, just 2 led 5watt lights is all I need. I am planning to get a very portable fan as well. with this system, u will get x3 of what mtn system gives.

As someone said earlier, access to money to buy everything at once is the issue but I think paying mtn 4500 for 5yrs is even a bigger issue. That's slavery.

Alternative, get a used ups for 4k, get an 18ah battery for 8k, disconnect the ups battery and connect urs. with this, u can power ur laptop and charge ur phones cos the ups serves as inverter and battery charger. note that the ups don't charge fast.

Ogadtop:
Lemme give us the break down analysis of what lumous mtn mobile box is. As we know, the strength of an inverter lies majorly on the battery capacity. Lumous battery is rated 300WH at 12V dc. This simply means that when you divide 300W by 12 to give us the battery amperes, we have 25AH. This is like dividing a car battery of 75ah into 3.

Now, the Lumos box comes with 2 DC lamps which when powered on, will run down the battery fully charged withing 5 hours. It comes with an option of ac output rated at 60watts. This means that when it powers a 60watts TV, it will run down in less than 5hours. It also comes with 80watts solar panel at 12volts DC. This means that it will produce 80/12 amperes of DC amps. To charge 25ah battery. This, when the sun dey vex well well come out in full force, will take 6.6 ×4=26.4. So it will be fully charged withing 4 hours.

So before you buy it, check the power rating of your TV if its not more than 60watts, otherwise, you are not buying it for the purpose of TV. Only DC lamps and charging of phones and laptops. So know what you wanna buy if it is worth it. If your TV is 60watts, what's ur decoder ratings. You may not be able to use the two at the same time.

If you are building your house consider renewable source of energy.
I'm talking about solar energy,segment your solar panel into 2.One segment (4 200W solar panels) to power your house during the day,the second part (4 200W solar panels ) to charge your batteries. Get a solar dc pump for water supply,it starts pumping whenever the solar panels receive enough energy from the sun.
Mind you, it is not advisable to use your inverter to with pressing iron. Alternatively you can use 'Dice current booster+optolator' to reduce the effect on the batteries.



Getting a good batteries is the main reason you will need to involve expert in the field.If you mistakenly buy fake batteries,you will cry for wasting your money.

The best batteries in the world are lithium-ion batteries which are VERY expensive.

Finished testing the battery and its ok, I bought a 10watts fan from the battery seller yesterday and used it to test on how long the 42ah battery will power it and I wasn't disappointed ,after I have fully charged the battery, I disconnected all other batteries from my ups and connected the recently bought 12v 42ah battery to the ups and powered the 10watts fan from 6pm yesterday the fan was still on till 6am this morning , sincerely, the fan was awesome, e just dey blow cold breeze for my body as light no dey till dis morning, I am now fully satisfied with both battery and fan, I will connect the 42ah battery with my other 76ah battery in parallel connection
