Gentino: Benue people drink beer from 9 am till dawn, insult me for not helping them – Ortom newtelegraphng.comNov 27, 2021 3:00 AM Ortom pledges judicious application of N18.5 bn FG loan Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, yesterday regretted that despite the milestones recorded by his administration, he still receives insults from people of the state after ‘they drink beer to stupor from morning till dawn’. The governor said he has received a lot of criticism, blackmail and intimidation in recent times for acquiring a lot of landed properties across the length and breadth of Makurdi metropolis and warned against persecuting people he called “anointed leaders” like him. He spoke when he commissioned the mega Pentecostal Church, Remnant Christian Network Embassy in Makurdi, the state capital.
“If you go round Makurdi Town, our people start drinking beer from 9am and some from there, they will go to sleep, and they come back and insult the governor for not helping them to add value to their lives. “Every new building that you see in Benue State, they say that it’s Samuel Ortom that is building; he is stealing and doing that. “In politics, people say a lot of things: blackmail, insults and intimidation, you face all sorts of things no matter what you do with the people, they always find something around.
“In 2017, I concluded that I will never contest the second term as allowed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and because of the insults I received from Benue people and how I was vilified, even some members of the church joined forces with those who do not know God. “I was pained in my heart and I said God, you brought me and I said I was not going to contest in the 2019 election and that night, God rebuked me and told me I am not done with you. “I brought you, I have not rejected you when people reject you, I am still with you”.
“I fasted for three months, I did a case study on the life of Moses in the book of Exodus in the Bible and at the end, God told me, don’t be like Moses who could not get to the Promise Land, have faith in me and I will see you to the end”.
olufunmi01: Good day my people, I I'll be brief in the best way. I currently work in a factory here in Ibadan which hardly give me breathing space because, I work from Monday to Saturday between 8am to 7;30pm during morning duties. I also go through night duties in this factory, in which most of the time I get sick due to stress. I am being paid 40k a month as a university graduate because I have tried getting a decent job but none was coming because I hate asking from my uncles. Now, I received a call from one of my bosses where I did my industrial training in ikeja to come and help him lecturer in some departments in Lagos State college of Health and technology where he will be paying me directly. I have always had passion for academic, during my nysc, I lectured at osun State college of Health and technology. This man has been a good mentor to me who sees my potential for teaching because God has blessed me with ability to impart knowledge. Now my question is what should I do.
Wah kine ah Question a This?. Choosing Between Assistant Lecturer an Factory wukka. Hope yuh village People nuh dey fingga yuh brain.
My boyfriend who I once posted here that he he didn't want to leave my house after coming to visit for the weekend has not called me after he left. I have called him severally after that and he picked on a few occasions and said he was busy with work. What actually happened is we have been dating for close to 3 months now and sometimes spend times in each other's place but for me I have never spent more than a day at his place because I love my privacy and when he came to my apartment for a weekend hangout he refused to go, the day he eventually left he came back by 11pm calling that he wants to spend one more night at my place. The next day I took the bold step and told him to please leave my house because he was going against the arrangement we had to only spend at most the weekend in each other's place. Now ever since he left he has not been calling me. Could it be that he is no longer interested?
Congratulations! You finally got rid of him! Congratulations once again. Wọ̀ni kí ẹ̀jẹ̀ ẹ sọ pé ègùn ni, wò sọpe kí ẹ́julẹ́ ẹ sọ pé ẹran díẹ̀ nbẹ nibẹ.
Omooniya1: In Civil service there is what we call Secondment and Transfer, Secondment is temporary relief of an officer from one organization to another organization for atleast two years and it can also be renew for another two years totaling 4 years after that it cant be renew again, while Transfer is the permanent relief of an officer from one organization to another organization. so the difference between the two is, one is Permanent and the other one Temporary.... so you can choose anyone that go along with your request.
thatigboman1: secondment is not leave. U can be working in ministry of labour and your services are need in needed in ministry of education, you will write and be seconded to the ministry of education, while ministry of labour still pay ur salary. Where u are seconded to will be paying you allowances. Usually 2 years.
Okay, Thanks. How about situation where a public servants goes for a political appointments or post, what request is filed please? Thank you in advance!
Omooniya1: First what i did was to seek for two years Secondment, I was granted, after the two years lapsed, I went back to my former office and seek for another 2 years and I was also granted totaling (4) years and after the expiration of the last two years...
Is Secondment like a leave or something?? Here to learn please!

PrinceOfLagos: This is Oni street, jimoh bus stop, akowonjo , Lagos. It is about 40minutes drive to Lagos Governor's office on a free way and 15 minutes drive to the local government secretariat.
This dirty water that has taken over the road of this street weren't caused by rain fall but very bad gutter channel . It has been like this for weeks and people live in this place. Children pass through this road to go to school.
Should the government wait till a very deadly disease break out before taking action??
Lagos is currently one of the worst place to live in
Lord have mercy.
Thanks to the road contractors, they did absolute great work. That water no dey commot in hundred years. Sue the contractors, sue Lagos State government.

oldienavie: How did you arrive at the bolded ? I am someone that loves to have a family and I would have gotten married before now if not because I have been abroad for a while and did not want to marry a foreigner. However, you are right, at this age, you see a lot of options and the real problem for me is choice paralysis, cos to know who is real is not easy. I had a babe abroad, Nigerian and she claimed she nor dey drink cos she saw that I am very conservative, it took a lot of FBI efforts on my part to realise that she was just forming for me just to trick me into marriage, the babe dey drink and club but she dey pretend for a long time.
oldienavie: I clocked 36 years 2 months ago, I look fit for my age compared to many Nigerians(I realised most Nigerians dont pay attention to their physical fitness). I have been outside of the country and just got back with the aim of trying to get a wife. Am I too old to expect to find a decent woman ? What suggestions do you have with regards to getting a good woman in the shortest possible time ? Thanks all.
To be honest with you, getting wife at 36 is more challenging than you can imagine (single 36+ myself). You get fake ones, you get one who just want to marry to mark attendance (I guess that's your category too), you get Cruise catcher (just for Fun),and many more. Just try understand how they think, before diving head on.
