My question is,will he ever stop being like this?I don't want any one to delay me in my life cos it seems it's what he is trying to do,i want to be wealthy at a young age.Being broke makes me feel less of a man

I was in SS1 when my own Dad pushed me into the street to fend for myself. Guy the thing no easy, honestly. Which cost me 4years of my life staying at home despite I had all my papers in one sitting. A lot happened within those 4years but Alihamdulillah its over, it's a huge sacrifice I will never ever pray for my enemy children talk of my own children to go through, this entails life and death situations.

I have take time to draw a few sources from the internet that is easily accessible to all like the Wikipedia entry on Hijab which is detailed and shows the various conflicting positions on the issue as well as the lack of a direct Quranic instruction to back the mandating of hijab for women.

Wearing of hijab is a cultural and not religious practice and obviously not a pillar of Islam or mandatory practice. A Muslim woman who doesn't wear hijab is no less a Muslim than one that does. The Quran specifically advocates decent dressing for women and to lower their gaze in public. Any reading of such decency to mean use of hijab is purely the opinion of one or more clerics advocating the position. It is therefore tiring to see some Muslims trying to forment trouble on that issue, to the extent of registering a Hijab Advocacy Initiative!

Section 38(1) of the Constitution makes provision for the citizen’s "freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others, and in public or private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance."

Now if you want to say Section 38(1) of the Nigerian Constitution supports the use of hijab, then it would also be interepreted to support a wide range of conflict inducing practices in the name of religious freedom.

For example two of the five Pillars of Sikhism is non-removal of hair (kesh) and carrying a dagger (kirpan). That means a Sikh student in a school in Nigeria should be able to come to school with a dagger, long afro hair and bushy beards as a constitutional right.

The prevention of some religious people such as Christians from preaching in public buses is also a violation of their constitutional right to propagate their religion.

Islam's apostacy and blasphemy laws are also violations of the constitutional rights of any alleged victim.

If you can see the potential for chaos in a misreading of the Section 38(1), then you would understand how hijab wearing cannot be protected by it.
