no. 5 are long term securities (bond) issued by the federal government only. Such as FGN savings bond, sukuk bond, FGN bond etc. these bonds tenor are usually from 2 years and above.
No. 7 are short terms securities - usually one year or less.

No WHT on any FGN issued bonds.

I use GTB. I am not sure if I was charged or not. Maybe there are waiting for me at maturity, but I collected my interest upfront.

Hello, you can use FSDH Merchant Bank (First Securities Discount House) as well as others like United Capital, Stanbic etc though I personally like FSDH

I'd advise you reach out to an investment firm for more info. Though alot of people confuse the FGN Bond with the FGN Savings Bond.

Both are government instrument but different

Hi Guys,

I need some help - Today, I bought Tbills from GTB secondary market and I was charge 10,272 for custody fee and another 770 vat fee. This fees are new to me as I usually buy from primary market and never heard of this fee.

Is this something new now? Has anyone here used GTB and experience this fee deduction?

Any reply would be highly appreciated.

Stock fell for technical reason. But gained 9.71% in last 2 trading days of the week. Let us see what will happen in the next few days. Picture below tells the whole story better.

By way of note, we should watch out for 11th of October 2021, the same reason that affected LCID will also play out for Coinbase. this may be an opportunity to double down or to catch a low point in COIN or wait for things to settle down.

Let us have a nice weekend and enjoy Monday Labour holiday for the US market. NASDAQ closed 1.55% positive for the week just ended.. Market likely to continue in uptrend or be in a range next week, but we should go for quality stocks only and not forget to ensure that our portfolio is balanced such that loss in one of our stocks does not send us out of the market as October is likely to be a temporary bottom to start new uptrend (thus somehow some retracement is still expected in this September, it may be deep or shallow, we just need to follow good trading practice).

Will not go through base on the restriction placed on naira card which is obviously a debit card
