Mami1: Just to put out here, there are cheaper options if you plan to travel. Montreal has cheaper government approved hotels and you can book directly. 443 CAD for the three nights, the likes of Comfort Inn, and there are still cheaper hotels than this.
Just choose an airline that's stopping over at an affordable area.
Please must I print my SOA? You mean we can call the hotel directly to make the booking? |

You could be watching out for this kind of pullbacks and be buying in tranches because nobody can predict Mr. Market movement .........and moreso that you're targeting Dividends..... I don't want anyone to mention me, that I didn't allow them to buy...... I no get strength for argument..... Am watching. Thanks |

ChybuzzDD: With Passfolio or any of the Nigerian Apps, you can trade with your naira domiciled in your GTB account , while still living in Canada. That's what i do. Suffice to say you have a functional GTB mobile App to be able to transfer money from the account. When in Canada, can you fund your trading212 account using your Canadian (CAD) bank card? Pls reply. |

nna777: Early dividend stocks to watch out btw next week and first week in February.
Vitafoam
With financial print dropping by next week, it can only get better.
Though not a liquid stock, strong support @7 has already been broken with offers thining out. Next week will be the last chance to get below #8 if you are interested in both dividend and capital appreciation.
We're likely to see jijoists come on board soon.
Afripud
It has been bouncing btw resistance and support - 6:15 & 5:70 since Nov 24. Swing traders have been having a field day since btw that market structure.
Don't get trapped in a false breakout. If there are more lower highs than higher lows, buy in tranches but if the case is the reverse, wait for a new support.
Ucap
Similar to afripud, bouncing btw 4:40 & 4:70. Use the same principle as outlined above.
As for the penny stocks japul and ftn, nothing but the reconstructing sentiments will keep driving them up until risk is higher than reward which I think will be N1 and above. Good luck. Thank you very much. |

Try and keep tab on this forum and be reading comments. This will allow you have info/ideas of happenings in the market and not miss out. Most Coy's financial year end (FYE) is December. If you're on live trading, you can be monitoring activities in the market as well as using the opportunity to read and acquire more knowledge on stock market investing. Good to ask if you're not sure of any move you wish to take too. Thanks once again. |

Mcy56: This question is meant for the gods....... Only God knows tomorrow.
However, let me use my small knowledge to reason the question....... Christmas week will likely not present buying opportunity if you're looking at major pullbacks..........it's end of the year, end of financial year, lots of activities and manipulations may likely take place. Those well seated at discounted prices will be likely favoured while those buying around that time may either be lucky or buying at higher prices. If your target is dividend, maybe you just have to exercise more patience and allow the festive euphoria to go first.........keep your cash, keep eye on Mr. Market and be watching out for buying opportunities....... You may gamble with some change in some selected stocks anyway, if you're the gambling type.
This is just my learner's opinion. I get plenty bosses that can advice you better here.......don't know why they all went "solo" these days........ Thank you for your response. |

umulobi: Hi gurus in the house, please, hear my story and advise me on next step to take.I have posted this on crime section but didn't receive any response.
I completed an application for CBN's FORM A through my bank( one of the commercial banks) to pay tuition fee in Canada last week. On Monday 14th December, 2021 I received a debit alert with more than N128,000 over what my account was supposed to be debited. I quickly checked on CBN's site for exchange rate for that day and discovered that it was N296.7 to 1CAD$.
I immediately called the customers service center to find out the reason for the excess deduction .The agent asked me how much I requested for the tuition, I told him and he did some calculations and told me that the exchange rate was N311 to 1CAD$. I countered him by telling him the rate I saw on CBN's site, he responded that there are charges attached. I made him understand that I made similar transaction in October with the same bank and branch and to same school in Canada and nothing was charged (even if there is,it should be very negligible ,not N128,000. I even transferred a higher amount in October)from my account. He was a bit confused and told me he would send me the receipt of the transaction which he never did till today.
After waiting for some hours, I emailed the customers service center with details. They responded few hours later on the same Monday and asked the branch I completed the FORM A. I replied immediately with the branch. Since then, I didn't hear from them again. This is unlike my bank that would respond and resolve issues within 48hrs whenever I email them.
Today, 16th December 2021 I sent I reminder to the customers service center via email that I am yet to get feedback from them or see a reversal of the excess amount in my account. I made them understand that I would escalate the complaint to CBN if I didn't receive a resolution within the time frame given by CBN.
Please, I need suggestions on how to resolve this issue or how to take it up ...on twitter or CBN or consumer protection council. Access bank? |

Mcy56: Red in the banking stocks especially..... One thing I'll say to newbies especially is that you should not panic and sell at loss........ In as much as you don't sell, you don't lose, the loss you may be seeing in your portfolio is paper loss, it doesn't become real loss unless you sell. If you have more funds, don't catch falling knife but wait for bottom prices to buy and average down your cost price. No one can accurately time Mr. Market...... ..so.spme level of emotional balance is required here. My one cent opinion. Thank you. |

nkwachiabel: Please how did you do this? Is it through Gpay? Because Gpay is saying my GTBank card details are not correct. and Trying directly on T212, it's also not going. For everyone looking for how to fund their T212 account, bookmark this. This is how I fund my account. 1. I use a dorm account funded with USD. This is to avoid exchange rate issues that arises if you fund with naira account. Withdrawal of funds will also have exchange rate issues. But with this method of depositing USD, you withdraw USD also. 2. Get a master card debit card for the USD account. 3. Register your card on googlepay. This is very tricky. Don't make a mistake downloading Googlepay app. Open a normal Google web account maybe by creating a Gmail account. If you already have a Gmail account, log on via google chrome Web browser and register your USD debit card as a payment method. 4. To fund your T212 account, note that you can't do this using the T212 app. You must have to sign into your T212 account via a Web browser and then add Gpay as a deposit option. Having done this, you can now go ahead to make payment through the make deposit dialogue box on the T212 web browser after log in. Credit: @oakpearl Your nairamastercard should work using this process too for funding. Please check also to ensure that you have entered the correct card details. |
