Quadri made his way towards me, his eyes locked on mine. I felt my heart racing with anticipation.

"Hey," he said, smiling. "You look stunning tonight."

My heart skipped a beat at his compliment. Maybe, just maybe, this night was going to turn out better than I expected.

No country host the FIFA world cup and stays the same.

The world cup comes with joy, pride and leaves development behind interms of infrastructures such as standard stadiums, training facilities, hotels, lodges, good road networks, railways, airports, steady electricity and many more in and around host cities.
The host country could aswell have a developed football league through the facilities that would be put in place.

If a country like England hosted the world cup today, it wouldn't spend half the amount Brazil spent on building and upgrading facilities. But if a country like Nigeria would host the world, it could spend more like Qatar because there is a whole lot to be put in place.

Pride over the everyday reality of their citizen..
Sadly established countries like England, USA can't host the world cup every four years and no matter how established they are,money meant to improve the wellbeing of the citizens will be still be plunged into amenities for the event..
