CrimeRe: Man Shot Five Times In The Head by talktimi(m): 8:55pm On Aug 18, 2013
heed101: the shot should b from locally made pistol. He couldn't have withstood 9mm.
exactly what i said but it will have to be from a distance. If it was a 9mm, we would have been hearing "painful exit" by now

My understanding of balistics doesnt allow me to believe this story. 5 shots would have destroyed his head but if its a low powered awka made pistol then we can safely assume that during the spread of pellets, some got lodged into this lucky mans head without destroying the centers of his cognitive functions which would have made him a vegetable or blinded him at best/worst. Miracles do happen

"progressives" who abuse igbo people just for being igbo ? Very funny indeed.. Progressives who cant get their points across without hurling insults arent a bunch any right thinking democrat will want to roll with, if you tell me naptu2 is a progressive then i will take you seriously not these ones who shout "akputic" or support internal deportation and dumping of Nigerians by the roadside at 3am in the morning claiming they were reunited with their families.. Sick country sha

Abagworo: There's scarce land resources around Okporo axis as the road transverses through ancestral villages of Okporo, Rumuodara and Mgbuesilaru. Its not usually acceptable to demolish "Obiri oro" for whatever reason. That forms part of the problem and not "Ikwerre people" .
thanks for the enlightenment, no offence to the ikwerres

federal govt appointees... So ? If you know the right answers why not take your case to the provost or whoever ?
PoliticsRe: Yabatech's False Claim: an example of lies told by Some Nigerians by talktimi(m): 9:15pm On Aug 17, 2013
9ja_i_hail2: Yorubas claimed to own it hence it instituted in their territory, same way many of us keep saying lagos as whole was what it is today with the help of federal infrastructures plus other ethnics contribution but you'll claimed to own whatever situated in lagos.
dude, im not yoruba and frankly people are already getting sick & tired of the incessant e wars between you guys which always seem to spring up over trivial issues

9ja_i_hail2: Yorubas with their scam propaganda will continuously come to lime light as far as this present igbo generation is concerned. The painful aspect part of it is that many gullible Nigerians bought into this lies and accepted it without crosschecking the facts.
yabatech is a federal institution so wetin concern yorubas for this one ?

kel4soft: I don't know exactly what Amaechi was smoking when he awarded that project (Okporo road). I think that is the worst dualised road in PH even though it has underground drain. When i noticed few metres marked for demolition on that road, i just know that road won't be wide.
ikwerre people no go allow you break their house any how because of road. I was at okporo rd some weeksback and nearly cried for my car.

PoliticsRe: Poor Road Network At Iyana Ejigbo by talktimi(m): 3:51pm On Aug 17, 2013
Its utter crass stvpidity when otherwise enlightened, adult humans come out to say people dont have the right to ask questions of their leaders especially in a democratic setting such as we have in Nigeria and in this case, Lagos state. The height of this stvpidity is when people are tagged as "igbo's" just for speaking out about where a government has failed them.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Is Not A Kindergartan by talktimi(m): 2:04pm On Aug 16, 2013
It is not good to talk anyhow like a wayward market woman just because you have a mouth otherwise you might be insulted by people old enough to be even your grandchildren. Akande should have criticized mr president & respected his old age.
PoliticsRe: North Shielding Al Mustapha From Justice by talktimi(m): 7:25am On Aug 16, 2013
Al Mustapha's release is a welcome development. Its not his fault the prosecution bungled & fumbled their case against him for almost 15 yrs.
PoliticsRe: Fashola's Performance Is Overblown – CACOL by talktimi(m): 12:38am On Aug 16, 2013
Any governor can pave a few roads and plant a few flowers, call the press and people will clap for him saying he's the best thing since ice cream was invented. Now the LASG is blaming its ineptitude on the influx of non Lagosians into the state which i rate as a very lazy argument but suprisingly my "enlightened & sophisticated" fellow electorate have bought into this silly excuse. The LASG isnt paying these "foreigners" or even "indigents" any form of welfare allowance but rather enforcing one of the most effective tax regimes this country has ever seen at least in recent times. Education, health care, transportation etc sector by sector there would have been a far bigger revolution with 20 billion naira monthly & over 600 billion in loans than is presently on ground and that is the bitter truth. The solution starts by handing LG's their autonomy since they're closer to the masses. The FG is an argument for another day.
PoliticsRe: Fashola's Performance Is Overblown – CACOL by talktimi(m): 12:02am On Aug 16, 2013
bloggernaija: Some people are just plain stupid and innumerate
First of all let us distribute that 20 billion naira per head .
That is thousand naira. Barely $7/head.
Note that a lot of work has to be done to even raise this revenue.
What can you do with this amount of money

Over a 1000 public schools, many of whom contain children of economic refugees from other state who have been discarded .
An extensive network of roads, bridges and drainage which has to be consistently and frequently maintained.
The massive security challenges.
The large amount of refuse generated .
you always have a difficult time trying to articulate proper arguments to expound your points. What you posted here is either trash or rubbish.

bushwailo: You can vote for whoever you want but stop basing it on tribalism and other non-issues.
The OP is is only saying that this attitude of Igbos is the reason they keep voting in crap governors and leaders.
the op isnt "only saying" the op is repeatedly insulting & denigrating an entire ethnic group while pretending to be igbo

TRAGIC...
PoliticsRe: Ngige Sponsored Anti-gay Bill; Igbo Governors Are Disasters by talktimi(m): 12:43pm On Aug 15, 2013
You see, this Tanko Emmanuel is a mischievous boy. He is not of igbo origin at all and it is very clear to see even if he claims to be an igbo boy. Besides an intelligent or well brought up human being will know that its not proper to insult an entire ethnic group just becaus you're campaigning for somebody. This is a democracy, Anambra people will vote for who they wish to lead them.
PoliticsRe: Yes, Our Salaries Are Outrageous - Senator Sola Akinyede by talktimi(m): 10:20am On Aug 15, 2013
This is a situation i expected our so called "progressive" members of the national assembly to move a motion for a reduction in the salaries and emoluments of them & their colleagues if not they have nothing to offer we common Nigerians that we're not already seeing.
PoliticsRe: Luxury Living In Lagos Built With World Bank Funds For The Poor by talktimi(m): 7:43am On Aug 15, 2013
You see Amaechi demolished Abonema wharf ghetto for the same reason Fashola demolished Badia but while Amaechi is building his very own tank farm on that same site, Fashola is housing people on his own site.

ajasa olufemi: To an extent...I second OPC nairaland's point of view...over population is not letting us copncentrate on our own indigenes in Lagos/S?West in general>>>>>>E be like say make i move motion so that d Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) to include in their programme an ID card for S/Western indigenes.lol
you sound more to me like an intelligent person than a tribal bigot so i dont want you to be deceived by these politicians. Lagos can not claim to be more populated than Beijing or Calcuta or New York so why the sudden xenophobia ? The problem we're having right now in Lagos as a case study is that the govt is heaping its ineptitude and inadequacies on non indigents which is wrong & silly. I tell you the moment the fed & state govts live up to their responsibilities by providing basic infrastructure like good roads, efficient transportation networks & electricity, i.g.r through taxation will multiply due to an influx of s.m.e's. The icing on the cake of all this is local govt autonomy because the local govt is the closest to the people & know exactly what they want not this scenario where governors steal lg funds thereby making lg administrators impotent to carry out important duties. Imagine efficient & modern lg administrators all over Lagos, the SW and Nigeria. The problem is never population. Ok
