You must be very stupid.
have you heard anyone defend Okija?
Benin is the seat of rituals and idolatory in Nigeria, that's no news
I lived in Benin.
It's the only place I've ever seen a man and his children naked and carrying pots on their heads chanting incantations and walking on a straight line.
every part of Benin is riddled with juju
on mainroads,around trees,at crossroads
there's juju hanging off of everywhere in that city but for Idahosa who God used to bring some light in that place
It's the only place you saw idol worshippers in large numbers in broad daylight sacrificing animals to their gods under a tree
Very fetish place
Keep defending a retarded law.
tradition my hammer toes
will you SHUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT UP

arent you the idiot that was defending okija shrine the other day. idiot

tamme you already have a reputation of been an igbo hater in this forum so you bringing this thread is viewed with suspicion.maybe if brought up by another person insults would not have been flying.
Its just the internet, people need to stop getting worked up.
CultureRe: How Come Igbo Fathers Dont Send Their First Sons Abroad To Study? by tamme(op): 11:21pm On May 25, 2009
You are very foolish to ask a question like this especially when there is no atom of truth to it. I suggest you take off the igbo fixation lens you are wearing. Many popular  igbos that school abroad were first sons so wtf are you talking about? . My own father is the only son yet he studied in California in the 60's, so who and who told you igbo fathers don't allow their first sons to travel abroad?

Quote
I asked them why, they said because they need to be with around their fathers to learn how to control ther fathers business and their fathers believe if they go to jand they wont cant come back home and inherit their fathers chieftancy titles
Inherit what chieftaincy title? Is it every igbo man that has a chieftancy assuming their is anything like  chieftaincy title bloodline. Your reasoning is so whacked that sometimes I wonder whether you run your lies through a more sensible person before posting them here. Chieftaincy title is an honorary award and cannot be inherited. Dumboh!
well thats what they told me, It wasnt something I came up with. I said I know its not all igbo fathers that do this, just wanted to know if other people have heard about this before.
CultureRe: How Come Igbo Fathers Dont Send Their First Sons Abroad To Study? by tamme(op): 11:04pm On May 25, 2009
I dont know why you have to insult me when I just asked a simple question. . whats wrong if I should ask igbo people on a public forum about what I have observed, its not a secret they tell many people also not me. Off course its not all igbo fathers that do this but I know so many igbo fathers who dont send their first sons abroad for various reasons.
CultureRe: How Come Igbo Fathers Dont Send Their First Sons Abroad To Study? by tamme(op): 10:03pm On May 25, 2009
first sons

most of my igbo male friends who wanted to go to school abroad couldnt because their dad said so. I asked them why, they said because they need to be with around their fathers to learn how to control ther fathers business and their fathers believe if they go to jand they wont cant come back home and inherit their fathers chieftancy titles huh

PoliticsNigeria’s Problems Are Beyond Yar’adua, Say Jakande, Abdullahi by tamme(op): 11:55pm On May 19, 2009
A former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Monday lamented that the problems confronting the country were beyond the comprehension of President Umaru Yar’Adua.

The former Governor therefore advocated for a more dynamic leadership for the nation during the 2011 election.

Jakande, who is the National Chairman of the Action Party of Nigeria, made this remark at the national convention of his party in Lagos, which attracted executive members from various states of the country.

This is even as a former Adviser on Agriculture to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, criticised what he called the retrogressive nature of things under the Yar’Adua administration.

Jakande said the President did not possess the political mechanism that will proffer solution to the many problems confronting the nation, a situation he regretted, was further compounded by his state of health.

He said, “The Yar’Adua administration does not seem ready to govern. Although, the President is a nice person, but you can see that the problems are beyond him. Apart from his health, which is a pity, he does not have the political machine with which to govern. He is on a wrong journey.

“The country needs a more dynamic leadership and the way forward for 2011 is to effect a change. So, many things need to be fixed presently.”

The former Lagos Governor regretted that the President had not been able to achieve any of his electoral promises he made while contesting to be President of the nation.

He noted that the APN would join hands with other progressives in the country to effect a change in the polity.

Abdullahi, at a public lecture organised by the Centre for Creativity and Leadership Development in Kaduna, regretted that rather than the country progressing, it had been retrogressing under the current administration, with various untoward happenings.

Abdullahi who is also a former Vice-Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, argued that current statistics showed that Nigeria was grouped among the 25 poorest countries in the world, despite having all the potentials for development.

He said, “Do we have the leadership to move Nigeria forward? The answer is No! But then, what about the soldiers in mufti, who do whatever they like irrespective of what you want them to do?”

He therefore warned that if the country’s leadership continued to tread the current path, it would end up being grouped amongst the six poorest countries of the world by 2020 rather than as one of the 20 economies in the world.

Abdullahi said, “At independence, when some of us were leaving the universities, we had all the potentials and endowment for this country to make progress in every human endeavours. It is sad that 50 years after independence, we are still grappling with basic human needs.

“How can you have 60 per cent of your labour force not being able to feed the world? In America, only three per cent are on the farm, while in Europe, you have just seven per cent. Where is the political will to move Nigeria forward?”
