Heheheh! I am a new convert to Tecno... Was shopping for a tab (8" and Samsung version was ridiculously expensive compared to the Tecno version (Droipad despite the fact that the Tecno tab had better specs than the Samsung one..

So coming from a Samsung fan.. Tecno had improved significantly! and possibly try one of their phones later on when i am tired of my Samsung..

Samsung needs to upgrade that their 8" tab else heavy users like me will swerve to a more functional tab like Tecno.

I used the N3, Phantom 6.. Since then I've used
Samsung S2, S3, S4, S5 for a while, and current S6 Edge.

Sleep and Death different, you will think you get the same value for your mobile if you're using a Tecno phone, it's a big lie.



I'd use Huawei (the P6 was nice at the time, but it had over heating issues) and Xiaomi 50 million times before I touch a Tecno again


The Boom J8 was massively over hyped. It turns laggy over time, Piss poor camera that can't even be compared to the old iPhone 5 or Samsung S4 and people kept over hyping the piece of crap phone


If you want good Chinese phones, Huawei and Xiaomi can not go wrong, not stupid Tecno that's not even on Gsmarena

It's because the phantom phone is good, the hype does not even do justice to it.

Tecno does such amazing devices and the phantom is one of them. I heard that over 500 engineers worked on the phone and that the 6plus has 10 processors. Someone even did a test to comfirm that 51 open apps were working efficiently at once so it's all good.

I experienced the phone too! It has all sorts of amazing features; charges fast, take awesome pictures, has quality speakers and much more. They really did well with that phone.

I'm not really a phone freak but I'll pick a tecno phantom 6 plus because of all the amazing features. I don't believe in spending so much on a phone.

It all depends on what you can afford really. Upcoming or aspiring photographers may not be able to afford a high-tech camera so they may use their smartphone for a start. This tecno phantom 6 and 6plus can cut it. The camera quality is high and comes with focus and refocus quality. Yeah. You're right. A few things changed my initial bias sometime around early 2014 and the consistency has since been there.

Even at times, when I feel Tecno didn't live to expectations, looking more closely I come to realize they were probably targeting a particular group or market in order to let them have the phones at affordable cost.

All in all, the only "bad" thing about Tecno phones presently like someone said on Twitter is just stereotyped name "Tecno".

This is very true. One thing I have found out about tecno is that they make their phone ranges for particular classes of customers and services e.g the camon series is for pictures and the boom series is for music.
So it all depends on the customer at the end of the day.

The battery lasts up to a day if fully charged and you're on it 24/7. It's okay.

The phantom 6 battery lasts long!! I am talking from experience here.
