Bro, I have been abroad thrice now and I follow global trends. There's always a cut off point for cgpa's which you can easily translate to the first class, third class and all that. I applied for an executive MBA program in Holland and the minimum was a 3.8 of a 5 point system to be accepted. Even Deloitte are recruiting right now in the US and are demanding a minimum of 3.0 cgpa of a 4 point system for eligibility, that should be equivalent to a minimum of 2.1.

Lies from the pit of hell. Most of my family school(ed) and live abroad both in the U.S and Australia. They value that thing called CGPA especially if it's from a reputable and very exclusive Institution. Even getting admission to Colleges and loans you must maintain a certain cgpa. They are more open minded, yes, but they value quality results too.

Ok, I cnt tell of Australia, but in USA, once the university or the college awarded you the certificate, no firm cares about what you graduated with.telling you this from experience you are talking of your uncles that can lie...this is directly from me and not from any source

Am not saying third class is a good grade but if you believing you have hope of making it in life more than third class graduates, you are kicking your ass by yourself...let me tell you, in the western world, nobody cares with what you graduated with...once you are done with the courses and the university awarded you with the certificate....my brother, you can apply for any job and and compete for anything within your field of interest....the problems with Nigeria is the little jobs available are for millions applicants...you have to wake up from that sleep now.
