What about the numerous threads on crimes committed in SW that never makes frontpage but any thread with as little as 5 comments that has Onitsha or any part of SE makes front page? I don't want to say OAM4J is a tribalist or even Seun sef .

Wow! This is serious. Why should an opposition promising to be a better alternative resort to such crude machiavellian tactics to mislead Nigerians. We Nigerians should be wary of wolves in sheep clothing. Even as an apolitical Nigerian , i have noticed that these people can sacrifice the blood of Nigerians and our nationhood just to get to Aso rock. Nigerians are really the problem of Nigeria. These PHCN officials are so greedy and selfish. I was with a PHCN official last week, he confided in me that they have being paid their severance allowance. Infact, he has millions credited to his account. The young man is even planning to complete the traditional rites of his wedding that he has being postponing since because of lack of cash by december and after that invest his share of the severance package in a profitable business. Yet he is still not happy and kept arguing with me about the privatization of PHCN. Can you imagine that this guy told me he is against the privatization because of the little bribes he gets from Nigerians, the 1000naira reconnection fee he pockets anytime he reconnects your power, the 500naira he gets when he comes to fix the fuse of your transformer etc. These people are so greedy it's so sick! They don't want what will benefit the generality of the masses eventhough they all have being well compensated because of the little bribe they collect. Enough of this nonsense abeg!

There are children growing up in Enugu today who use words like 'jara', 'ko', 'ashawo' 'agboro' (should be 'agbero') in everyday speech without knowing those words aren't regular Igbo words. I wonder how many Igbo words the Yorubas use like that.

Moi-moi, akamu and akara...Igbos learnt about them from the Yoruba. Igbo women in Igbo villages tie gele; Igbo men in Igbo villages wear the 'fila' cap and even Agbada. I don't know how many Yoruba men wear Isiagu shirt.

The one wey they pain me pass sef is the adoption of 'aso ebi' tradition by the igbos. 'Aso ebi' has become part and parcel of wedding festivities throughout Igboland. Arrghhh!

if we toe this your line of reasoning i guess igbo culture is the strongest in Africa then because with the help of Nollywood you hear things like 'Tufiakwa' 'ewu' 'mba nu' igbo kwenu'. And you see people relating this african royalties to 'Igwee' . Infact 'Igwe' is very popular . I hear 'onye ara ' everytime too from Yorubas and other ethnic groups. It doesn't mean that these groups are losing their language. Psquare and Nollywood has really propagated igbo words in East African countries. And to further buttress my point, no1 speaks Yoruba language in any eastern state, but if you walk through the streets of Festac, Okota and some other igbo dominated parts of Lagos you will feel like you are in an eastern state. There was a time i went to a church in Festac, they held one of their masses in Igbo language. I don't think there is any church in East that holds any of it's masses in Yoruba language. I cant say how many times i have gone to buy stuffs in Ikeja and Computer village and i ve gotten the price of the stuffs i wanted to buy reduced just because i spoke igbo. I think think you have being to Alaba or even Computer Village you will think you are in a market in Owerre. I think finding bits of igbo language and culture in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria and finding igbos tying 'gele' is a good thing for us all.
