Yvonne is a stunner.........Rita has her moments too, but I think she is stuck in a style rut wit dt hair. She needs to give dt hairdo a break....haba! |
Elymoney: Me not like Rita outfit...boring. But yvonne......looks like chocolate covered wit a cream wrapping.beautiful description. |
hotmas911: may God bless ur beautiful mindNigeria is more multilingual than India and those gulf Arab states he keeps harping on......we r too polarized on too many fronts(language, religion, culture). Although, I don't thnk wearing a certain type of clothe is d magic bullet to solving our problems......but its a good place to start. A good leader has to b neutral & detribalised as much as he can esp in a country that speaks over 100 languages with over a million bigots(sorry my stat has no source). Haha. |
Reads like a sci-fi movie. But this is serious. Pilgrimage, Olympics, worldcup.......dangerous events for a contagious disease to start. |
;DI loved that Obodo track back then.....but I can remember arguing wt a friend about how inappropriate that name was..He didn't put a lot of thot into that name.......Mr Raw did himself in..... ;DI |
@Pagan.....kaftan na kaftan...long or short. D point is.....kaftan is a better option than agbada. As an office wear that is. .If you must put on ur full traditional regalia complete wt ur face paint and all.......it should b to a ceremony. Abi I dey talk rubbish ni? Lol. |
[quote author= Therefore Nigeria pays value to culture and a politician in suit and tie cannot relate to the average middle-class/poor Nigerian.[/quote]yeah that's true...but a pity we take things too far. We r too loud and showy. Wrong value system placing too much on crude ostentatious show of wealth. I feel we should tone it down a little.....instead of the three piece agbada on a working day, why not commot d outer piece and stick wit d kaftan and sokoto......that's moderation.......and hey, I love hw productive those Chinese pple r.although its arguable, but their economy is looking more capitalist by d day........Arabs, just like Africans don't produce nothing.....d difference is just that they hv d money to buy and build luxury. Heck! They don't even build. They pay d foreign brains that build for them. |
PAGAN 9JA:quit playing mehn....because d Arabs do it, that means we should? I'd rather copy d Chinese pple's work ethics than d Arab's. No offense. The way u dress to work has a correlation wit hw seriously you take ur job.. I prefer a clean cut, no-nonsense, straight-to-the-biz-of-the-day, no frills wear. Only naija aristocrats wear agbada to work to show off wealth and status jare.....cos that's d only way dey feel pple can differentiate d boss frm omose...... |
. |
Horus: The best Dress code is the Nigerian one, a true way of living and dressing which is for Africans. We have for too long lived in the image and likeness of other races and other cultures. We have accepted their dress, their diets, their languages, their gods, their customs, etc. And what has it done for us?. Nothing but inequality and hatred. Dont follow those of our race who have converted to hate self and kind. Following your own culture cannot stop you to develop and become a very modern nation. Arab billionaires in Dubai still have their own Dress code and it doesnt stop them to develop.oh pls spare us d sermon....we r not advocating for dumping our traditional wears altogether. All I'm saying is dt babanriga is too ostentatious for an office wear. How much confidence would you hv in a bank where all d staff....frm d MD to d teller down to d security officers wear agbada.? D ladies might as well put on their long tailed wedding gowns to d banking hall.....funny sight? |
I share ur thought on that too. But jonathan's caftan Is better than agbada..As much as I respect tradition and would like to preserve it, I still think agbada or babanriga is not work or business appropriate. IMO they should be worn at ceremonial functions only. Politicians should shed their agbadas post election and get to work... |
Prowizy2: See baff up, u go suprise na bathrum rubber slippers d guy use dab lyk dat.. 70's swagno b slippers o.....na high heels dem dey wear den. Dem dey call am akpola! wedge wey chics dey wear these days. the type wey my popsi take do guy for momsi......she trip die. Lol. |
OP......since you seem to to value pipu based on looks only, let us play ur game. But first, post ur picture and let's rate you by ur own criterion sir. |
cooltony09: After EmptyHen destroyed my magic sim..i started looking for new ways to browse.then I decided to subscribe 4 glo bis and try the old tweak on my android..and alas it worked!!you mean bis week 700 won't work? |

D Merciful: It has been quite a while since the tragic incident of the Aluu 4 killings. There wss so much sympathy, so much condemnation for the killings and so much call for justice from most Nigerians!the media has to take d blame here o. Its so unprofessional of them not to follow up d story and keep it in d conciousness of d whole nation until justice is seen to be done. They just too lazy to stay on a story for so long. When it was time to shock people wit sensationalism of d gore and horror of dt video, they were all over it like vultures cos it was easy to watch a youtube video to comment and lament.....now its time to get out of their offices to do real journalism...but no show :- |
@MrBrownJay..........you should hv taken a breath before commenting......key phrase there is "most likely". Life is a game of numbers, probabilities, chance. Here is an analogy for you; a man was locked up in a room wt 9 other guys infected wt a highly infectious airborne disease. His chances of coming out infected is very high except he has a rare immune system.…u see? Although ur opinion on d matter is right too. But his is "righter' |
tpia@:not just look better o......look, feel, live better......besides, if you can chew gum and walk at d same time, then you can also do charity and still take care of ur loved ones at d same time..... |
firetrap: rather than pay for an operation to rid the person if excess fat, it would be better to exercise with the person so they'll know they're not in it aloneI like d "you r not in it alone" approach....but you knw gym sessions too cost money .....not only surgeries do. |
slimyem: It certainly has!so has urs ![]() |
"............fingers?" journalists need to stop using this expression.......maybe my mind has lost its innocence or the meaning of that phrase has changed..If d story is true, then dt actress is not classy at all. However, we welcome baby to planet earth ......no stigma |
Popowaa: It's bad. There are many ppl out there who will fit the description of ur ideal man/woman why dont u go for them and those who like flat butt or no hair go for them.Cos if u change them and u breakup or later divorce them you have changed their lives forever.what if the change gave them more confidence and made them better persons. What if they welcome change themselves. D only negative change I knw of is forced change.....d decision to change should b mutual. If divorce unfortunately happens, you would hv left them better version of themselves.........NB. I'm not talking about physical changes only |
Not bad. As long as u hv convinced ur spouse & has agreed to change. Then you can go ahead to try to change em physically, psychologically, spiritually, sexually and all d other -"ally"s you can think about......everybody needs some panel beating here and there you knw. |
Same reason some animals pee round an area to mark their territory I guess. Just being territorial. That goes for women, mostly. For guys, I thnk we just sloppy sometimes....haha |
I've not sEen 50 first dates too......you will luv The Next Three Days.. That movie defines what love is |
Yep! Titanic and The note book r cool. I'm adding Russell crowe's The Next Three Days and Ben Affleck's Pearl Harbor. |
googlepikin: still on dis same matter, I will slap you for only one agege bread. For touching a married woman's backside.. Haha! You r mean. LMAO |
ilugunboy: Which part of his speech make sense....scrapping or not scrapping Almajiri system of child upbringing or the certification issue?especially where he said education should focus more on productivity(what you can manufacture or create) and less on just d acquisition of kpali.. That's why I personally think more students should opt for science related courses. |
PAGAN 9JA:He didn't say almanjiri system should continue......he himself admitted by saying “I agree that there is the need to do something about the Almajiri system" but he just suggested a different approach of simply absorbing them into d conventional schooling system. Not labelling them as almajiris students or almajiri schools which smacks of stigmatization to me....... |
Burger01: So, Almajiri is a culture that make lota sense to you! BTW, What damned culture is Almajiri? These children need rehabilitation and hope for better future rather than culture of slavery the were weaned into and grew to imbibe. Aw c'mon, everything that myopic Aliyu Babaginda said made no sense to me Jare...The topic is misleading.....please reread d post. What he said was to incoporate d education of those kids into the regular system and not to isolate them........in d so called almajiri school. The govt will b condescending to still keep d name "almajiri school"....study d system you wanna change b4 you attempt to change it... Look at it this way-if a guy is wrong and you correct him in a condescending manner, ur correction might b rejected despite that he knws you r right-its psychology |
