This guy must be on some dope sh*t. Why must the world leader be from Europe and not Africa? Oga once you are dead, your rapture has come. There is nothing new under the sun. Forget all these stories. jiggaz: |
Ready to serve? I think the right caption should be "READY TO STEAL" ThatFairGuy1: |
I'm seeing your post today and I think I can share a thing or two with you. If your fear is genuinely about JOBS, you are not alone. Giving up 3yrs to start another course cos of job is not the best move. If you graduate today, do you know what you can achieve in 3 yrs? I once had those fears too, same as others i know but then, i can boldly tell you there are still opportunities out there. Nowadays, what you study in school DOESN'T really matter. Concentrate on the biochemistry course. Try your best to come out with good grades and on time. I assure you, you will have options. For me, by the time I was done with service, I had already lost interest in my course of study but what I read didn't stop me from getting other opportunities. Basit46: |

ronyman:No stock will fall. What FCMB did is the standard practice, in fact someone might be smiling during appraisal. The major problem in Nigeria is ignorance. The law guiding returns has been their from time immemorial. If you are a fraudster you should be concerned the level of info NFIU has concerning your transactions. That no one has come to you doesn't mean they don't have your record. |
softsoul22:Bros banks report every suspicious transaction doesn't matter who own it. Aside that they also report transactions of PEP, etc, etc. They risk heavy sanctions from CBN if they don't. Today, no bank wants CBN wrath as heads will roll. But like we all know, the authorities determine which transaction is clean or fraudulent. Even when some are clearly fraudulent, the authorities may decide to be silent for whatever reasons. But trust me they have all the records. |
EFCC is making it look as if they were on their own and FCMB came to snitch on their customer. What i know is every bank is mandated to provide regular regulatory returns, one of which is STR under AML/CFT to CBN and other stake holders. It doesn't matter who is carrying out the transaction. It is left to CBN, EFCC, etc to determine what to do about those returns. |
Romanoff:RICO are internal control officers who ensure compliance to the bank's internal processes and procedures just like you mentioned, such as wrong posting, dress code, punctuality, etc. Compliance officers job is to ensure compliance to external regulations such as SEC, BOFIA, AML/CFT, CBN, etc. However both jobs may be combined in one, but very rare. What many banks do is to combine the units in a group i.e. Internal Control and Compliance group, with one head who reports to the board. Audit is separated from Internal control/Compliance. The job of an Auditor is to give an independent assurance. They pick exceptions that the RICO has failed to pick or those yet to be regularized. In a standard organization, COSO framework made provisions for all these functions to be duly separated. |
Thank God for nairaland. This GNLD people with several names. I also got their mail this morning but i couldn't remember applying to any CFlead. So i called their HR line since. I have a proper well paying job though, but i could have wasted precious time thinking about missed opportunity if not for nairaland. It's high time these guys stop this madness |
docadams:That is about 2.3% to 2.8% rates monthly which is still okay compared to those banks with 4% or more rates |
EtovalAutomobil:You clearly don't understand why interest rate on loan is high and yield on savings account is low. On interest rate on loans, a lot a factors come to play such as cost of fund (where the fund is coming from). Other key factors are MPR, CRR ( which prevent banks from loaning out a percentage of their deposit), e.t.c. For interest paid on deposit, it can be higher depending on how long you want to keep the deposit. Say fixed or call deposit. Assets are usually matched to liability. Mind you, your money if left in the vault is a liability on the bank as bank pay insurance, handling charge, vault charge amongst other charges. It's only useful when they loan it out and some factors highlighted above wont let banks loan out all the deposits. I think i should stop here. |
musicwriter:Kindly forward the books to me too. Thanks |
Yea. About 10months job rotation in different depts. The final 6months will be in your fixed department. You will enjoy it. meeday92: |
TS is in phases. 3months, 1month, 1month. And on the job training in between. The program runs for 15months plus 6months in a fixed department. Cheers meeday92: |

Shout out to Centino and every Katakata lovers. May we enjoy all the good things of 2019. Happy New Year people! |
Honestly, this Centino is very good. This is the best work i have read in years. |
Finally my Leagoo kiicaa was stolen last Friday. Good riddance to bad rubbish. No more buying of wack brand again... I learnt my lesson. Off this thread for good! |
Bombata. Glad he's doing well for himself. He's always been "crazy" from way back. |
Thanks Centino. Thumbs up |
Even here in Nigeria, Shareholders are usually the last to get paid after all debtors have been settled. I doubt the money recovered is enough to clear the bank's depositors fund talk more of having enough for the shareholders. These are basic information whoever plans to acquire shares should know. Yankee101: |
A lot of people don't understand the risk involve in shares acquisition especially ordinary shareholders. Once the company becomes insolvent, you money is gone. Its like you owning your personal business and then you go brankrupt. Which money are you expecting again na. From the moon? By the way AMCON got no business with shareholders. Their primary responsibility is to protect depositors. I'm surprised the SHolders are coming out with this story, but again this is Nigeria. |
Welcome back Centino. You are a good man ![]() |
The guy said he is indisposed at the moment. What we ought to do is wish him well and hope he writes again. In all honesty Centino has given more than enough already. Should he decide to end it at this point so be it. Let nobody come and start whining like he's done something terrible. There is more to live for than reading fictions. By the way Centino, all the best in your hustle. Write soon. |

Are you a geologist or geophysicist? You have absolutely no idea about earthquake monitoring. Siesmometers are basic hazard monitoring tools. You can even monitor and study quakes in neighbouring countries or far away haiti for research purposes and develop better safety procedures related to your "illegal stone mining" tremor claim. It will shock you that Germany, England, France Probably South Africa, and other serious nations have genuine data on the Mpape quake. Do they have earthquakes prevalent in their countries? and you are here saying no need. smh. Lets call a spade its name. These guys are plain incompetent. How can you have a geological survey agency without seimometer? I doubt if the rain guages at metrological agency are functioning. fkj950ax: |
Pls can I sell my Leagoo at the CPR center? Just one month old |
