Simmarco:Thanks Simeon, I will call you in the morning! |
odejayi200:Thanks bro, I'll try and give you a call in the morning tomorrow! |
ifyalways:Thanks a lot, I'll try and see if I can get contact number of that company when I get to Lagos in couple of weeks. Your willingness to help is really appreciated. |
Dis Guy:I think he meant building the tanker, the trunk |
KMVBO:Hi bro, you have decided to sell the tippers, my trucks are on their way to Lagos and I'll be there myself in the next couple of weeks. I have potential companies that will take over mine. You can send me an email or give me a call if you are still interested in giving them to company to manage them for you but if not, good luck with the sale |
Well done SE ![]() |

Tmoni:I totally agreed with you on that. Wearing sunglasses in the night or club should be the top of fashion crimes ![]() |
Melinde:So what's she going to do in return to make him fall in love? Money speaks, eh? ![]() |
didi-t:You don't always get that in return ![]() |
Fingers crossed for Chelsea as he doesn't speak in English properly and that was the downfall of Scolari. I think Kaka will follow him ![]() |
Buy her a private jet or buy him the new Aston Martin One-77 ![]() On a more serious note- Happiness, faithfulness and fat wallet will get you half way there but you just can’t plan this thing as individual way of loving differs. |
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed as Chelsea manager few hours ago. Is he going to be a new Mourinho or another Scolari? What do you think of him? |
It's fashion go wrong! ![]() |

ifyalways:Thanks ifyalways - Can you can recommend any company? |

I don’t really think there’s anything funny about any parent not able to pronounce their own surname properly. Any child should be thought and encouraged on how to pronounce those names no matter how difficult or which part of the world they live. A friend have to change his child school here in London because his child is been bullied at school for not able to pronounce her own surname, if you happened to be in my friend’s shoes, you will know that there’s nothing funny about this. Even there are more English/Scottish/Irish names out there that are more difficult to pronounce than any Ibo or Yoruba names but their kids manage to pronounce them very well and we are forced to pronounce them very well too. I once failed an interview for not able to pronounce the name of an interviewer correctly, (Ewan is the name I couldn’t pronounce properly) and next time I found myself in the same situation, I asked a taxi driver before I get to the interview. We should take pride in our names and surnames. This is my opinion though and I strongly believed that mother-tongue should be preserved. This is very interesting topic and I hope everyone contributes. |
Thanks for your responses guys! Really appreciated. ![]() |
Is that supposed to good or bad? 7pm closing time, what's the starting time then? 11am? Anything more than 40hrs a week is slavery! |

I’m afraid to tell you that the challenge you are facing in Oil industry is the same in every other industries; IT, Banking, Finance, Legal, just name it. If you have the certification in Oil industry already, I would advise you keep on trying and do as tbo1 said but I’m not sure of volunteering jobs in Nigeria though but it’s a good place to start. How are you sure that certificate will guarantee you a job in IT? Experience is what really counts. (pls guys correct me if I’m wrong)If you can’t do it in Oil industry, I don’t think you can do it in IT either. Sorry for been so negative but I think believing in yourself and confidence is what really matters when looking for a new job. I don’t like discouraging people learning new things but in your case, I just thought you are well equipped to go out there and work in Oil industry. Do as chukvyl said above if you insist on getting into IT, I’m not just sure if that will work in Nigeria. In UK is very easy, I have so many friends that started working as Project Manager and Software Testing with no previous experience and no certification but I don’t know if you can get away with that in Nigeria. Journey of a thousand miles begin with a step, if you really want to do this, do as you have been advised above, start as Support, get more info and inside knowledge and decide if you want to go into programming(developer) or networking. And you might want to consider certifications like ITIL, ISEB or Prince2 for the non-technical (well, some of them are) section of IT. But I don’t know if these are just meant for UK IT market rather than Nigeria but just an idea. I believe no knowledge gained is lost and both industries you are trying to get into are rewarding. Give IT a try but try as much as you can to keep working on getting a job in Oil company while you are doing that. Every industry is challenging, I work in IT myself and I know how challenging it is and people from other industries will tell you the same. Good luck, I’m sure you will need it. |
It's high time! |
Thanks Ayour, I have seen your mail. |
I have got these two trucks in the pictures below arriving Lagos on the 7th of Next month from UK. The truck head (cab) is 44tons and the tipper is capable of 32tons load both are DAF 95XF and DAF 85CF (tipper) respectively. They are both in a very good working condition, first registered in 2001 and can be inspected upon arrival in Lagos so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to view and inspect them. I’m based in London, so I won’t be able to manage vehicles myself on daily basis and having mitigated all the risks involved in this business, I hope with the help of you guys in this forum, I’m looking forward to give these vehicles to an established company (ies) based on your recommendations for weekly or monthly payments. Please kindly get in touch if you are in to this business and you want to add more to your fleets or if you have contacts or links and advice you can give regarding this. Every little helps I can get will be greatly appreciated. My contact details are: tycollins2000@yahoo.com / 00447852115666. Cheers, Tayo |
Hi KMVBO, I think you should load the pictures of the tippers to this site. I've had some positive response but not making any decision until I get to Lagos middle of next month. |
