Education › Re: Ajayi Crowther University VC Shuts School After Students Poured Him Water by Tazdroid(m): 10:15am On Apr 12, 2017 |
Some students and their unrefined attitude should not be taken lightly. What if the VC who's the highest authority in the cadre of school administration was drenched in some harmful chemical agent. Would some people be contesting the decision to temporarily shut down the school or pray that the culprits are brought to book and the VC recovers rapidly? This is gross indiscipline and should be treated very seriously. |

Thepasserby: 6. Matilda the Chicken (1990-2006)
Keith and Donna Barton bought Matilda for $10 at a fair in 1990. Instead of putting her in a chicken coop or eating her or any of those normal things you expect people to do with chickens, they put Matilda to work as a part of their magic act.
They probably expected to replace their poultry assistant a lot sooner than they did, though; while most chickens only live 7-8 years, Matilda was still kicking after 15. She never laid a single egg in all that time, an abnormality that some chicken experts think may have directly contributed to her long life.
In 2001, Matilda became the first chicken to place in the Guinness Book of World Records as "World's Oldest Living Chicken." This led to the second horrible thing her owners put her through: a spot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
In her later years, Matilda used her celebrity for good, attending many charity functions. She died in 2006. Matilda may not have lived past 1991 were she to be born somewhere in Nigeria. Peppersouptinz... |

I totally agree with the issue of presenting your CV to any member of top management. I made that mistake once, giving my CV to the bloody receptionist and relaxing at home hoping I may get called soon. My CV must be somewhere in a waste truck crying for rescue
In addition, following up at where you applied is not an option. It may prove your diligence to the prospective employer by persistently pressuring him/her for feedback |

I'm not really a parent per se but I have been in that position for a while. To be honest, it's no child's play. It is one of the toughest jobs for which you get no salary. Your head could get seriously messed up in a million different ways owing to the demands and pressure. I guess it's good that I'm learning.
