In case no one has any genuine answer, I think a simple decent outfit may be fine.

If you noticed, the dress code wasn't stated in this invitation unlike in the last one for physical screening.

If the immigration officials wanted people to turn up in white shorts and tees, they'd probably have specified it in this invitation.

Just saying ....

Pls what is the dress code to use for this documentation...

If the awardee is ready to start a life in the UK, it should take that opportunity. It could get a part-time job while dealing with school and then carry on from there. There are undoubtedly better career opportunities over there than over here with a Master's Degree.
rhapboss:
Someone got this NIS invitation (ASI) and also got a scholarship award for a masters in UK. Please which do you guys advice to drop/follow up on. Please drop comments with reasons. The person is at a cross road right now and needs to make decisions, and make them fast. Thank you for your comments, as I expect them to roll in.

So, documentation and APL would be done/given on the same day?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by Tazdroid(m): 11:46am On Aug 08, 2021
It's from the immigration site. That's the clock countdown to when people can check to see if they've scaled through to the next round.

My experience in MINNA:

Make sure you have all your docs and are well dressed for the screening. They check neatness.

At the gate, the guys with "IP" arm bands (Immigration Police in charge of security) ask for your invitation letter, you write down your name, then they issue you a piece of paper containing a number which they follow serially as they call you in threes or fours.

An officer who's the "Provost" in charge of discipline, (nice guy though he claims to be wicked grin ) would welcome and address you all.

Na for stony ground una go siddun ooo! No chairs, no comfort. But na under tree shade. Just endure, and be respectful. It's only for a little time and you'd be on your way. Some of the officers would even give you tips. DON'T TAKE PICTURES OOO grin ... Wahala be like wetin?? Ehen . They even have pure water as refreshments. cheesy ... Take permission if you want to take a call or ease yourself

After a while, they'd start calling you in. Make sure you cram your Application ID (the one starting with NIS-....) . And be able to defend your certificates. Just be confident. The 1st officer who'd usher you in for your names to be ticked could ask random but easy questions.

After that, they'd take your height and chest measurements. Then, you'd go through four more officers who'd basically check your docs, ask a few questions, tick your names and then you'd be on your way.

Don't go out the same way you came in ooo. Ask for the other exit. Ehen

Best wishes to everyone!

Good evening my people! Sorry this is coming very late, I’ve been sleeping since I got back from the screening, Lagos traffic na war shocked
I left home(Mowe) very early(before 6 a.m) to beat the traffic as advised, unfortunately i still got caught up in it. I got to NIS headquarters around 9 a.m.

In preparation for the screening, we lined up outside the gate, and our invitation sleep was checked and used for admission(a personal number would be assigned to you) in to the proper screening point. At the point of the physical screening, nothing much was done, your original certificates would be checked against the post you applied for, proceeding from there, some officers would your height, chest width, and leg structures. After that you’re required to sign out. No test questions was asked.

In conclusion, the whole screening process was almost hassles free, lasted for a couples of hours. I wish everyone here success in this, blessings!

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.

Sorry pls, do you know if they normally provide accommodation for those coming from far away?

You'd need to go to a government hospital.
Budget N9k. I did mine N8, 500 in Lagos so it may vary. It may be less or more where you go to do it

Thanks a lot for this. Appreciate
Sikpa04:

Nothing too tough.
At the entrance you will be checked to see if your name is on their list (This is done to stop some idiots from coming in).

You will stay according to your state and then proceed to meet the officers who will be verifying your documents one by one. After that there might be a short test of knowledge. Questions on general knowledge basically but it's nothing to fear. Just be confident!!

Make sure your certificate is from a Government Hospital. Regardless of the certificate, height will be checked. Also flat foot and some other things.

After all these sereren, a physical exercise might be conducted. It depends on what the board wants.

In all it's nothing to be scared but pleeeeaasseee, if you need this Paramilitary job, DO YOUR BEST!!! And your effort won't be futile.

Note: I coined this from the last recruitment exercise. It might be different this time.

IDIOTS: people who didn't make the list but want to force their way inside the venue because they think a miracle can happen.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by Tazdroid(m): 6:28pm On May 16, 2021
Please what should one expect on the screening day?

Sikpa04:

Yes, almost but not there yet.

That's why I urge you all that made it to bring your A game to the screening ground. Get all your original and photocopies of the required documents.

Dress smart with your white salala (short & shirt) and be confident. This is the last stage and anyone who passes this stage is already an officer.
