HealthRe: Consider Carefully Before You Choose Adenomyosis Surgery by Tbasicme: 4:08pm On Oct 29, 2019
Adenomyosis is a common, but poorly understood, condition that affects women of all age groups. It is defined as the presence of ectopic nests of endometrial glands and stroma within the myometrium, surrounded by reactive smooth muscle hyperplasia. Adenomyosis is a common cause of dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, and chronic pelvic pain, but is often underdiagnosed.

According to Wikipedia, Adenomyosis is a gynecologic medical condition characterized by the abnormal presence of endometrial tissue (the inner lining of the uterus) within the myometrium (the thick, muscular layer of the uterus). When endometrial tissue is present abnormally entirely outside the uterus, it is considered to be a similar but distinct medical condition, endometriosis. The two conditions are found together in many cases, but often occur separately. Before being recognized as a distinct condition, adenomyosis was called endometriosis interna. The less-commonly-used term "adenomyometritis" is a more specific name for the condition, specifying involvement of the uterus.

HealthGolden Blood: The Rarest Blood Type In The World by Tbasicme(op): 5:42pm On Oct 26, 2019
There are eight common blood types but the rarest one called ‘Golden Blood’ is shared by fewer than 45 people on earth,

Golden blood is actually the nickname for Rh-null, the world’s rarest blood type. It is also very dangerous to live with this blood type, as so few people have it. The fact is fewer than 50 people worldwide have ‘golden blood’ or Rh-null.
Blood is considered Rh-null if it lacks all of the 61 possible antigens in the Rh system. Golden blood sounds like the latest in medical quackery.
However, maybe you know your blood type off the top of your head or maybe you’re like most people and you have no clue. Here’s one reason you should find out: You could have “golden blood.” And while having golden blood might sound exciting, this incredibly rare type has the potential to be deadly for people who have it. Read about 8 more really good reasons to know your blood type.
A Science Laboratory Technologist, Rehoboth Laboratory, Abimbola Pelumi said the golden blood group refers to people with a blood group that has no Rh antigens. They are designated as Rh null.
She said this is different from Rh negative which is usually the absence of only the D antigen.
‘’In Rh null, all the antigens (about 50 of them) under the Rh blood group are absent making them the most sought after universal donor blood group usually by doctors to operate on people with rare blood groups. This is a very rare occurrence but is inherited in families,’’ she said.
The science Laboratory Technologist added that such Rh null groups can be traced by family lineage and are usually present as community pools in certain places of the world.
According to thehealthy.com each of the common blood types A, B, AB, and O comes in negative and positive versions (depending on whether red blood cells have a protein called an Rh antigen on their surface). Of these eight main categories, O positive is the most common, according to the Red Cross.
While that sounds rare, AB negative has nothing on the rarest blood type of all—one that fewer than 50 people in the entire world have—which is why scientists have nicknamed it “golden blood.” The type, whose scientific name is Rhnull blood, was discovered in 1961. Since then, there have been a total of 43 reported cases. Its rarity and unique properties combine to make it potentially dangerous, should someone with this type ever need a blood transfusion. Learn some secrets your blood type can reveal about you.

The reason identifying your blood type is so important is that your red blood cells have receptors called antigens. If you receive a transfusion, your immune system will only accept the antigens that match your blood type. If you get the wrong type—and a mismatched set of antigens—your immune system will attack the blood cells, with disastrous and potentially deadly results for you. The rarest blood type, Rhnull blood, is so-called because it’s completely missing all types of the most common type of antigen, Rh. This means that if you have it, receiving a transfusion of a blood type with any Rh antigens will cause your body to reject the blood, according to the National Institutes of Health’s Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center. Read about 8 unsolved medical mysteries that still stump doctors.
Since 99.9999994 percent of people have blood with Rh antigens, finding a blood donor for Rhnull individuals can be nearly impossible. This is why people who have golden blood are encouraged to donate their blood—in case they ever need it and because others with rare blood types could benefit from it. Since Rhnull blood contains no Rh antigens to be rejected, it can be a universal donor at least with respect to Rh antigens (though not ABO or other antibodies).
Golden blood, therefore, can be both life-threatening and lifesaving. And while your chances of having the rarest blood type are incredibly low, finding out your blood type is the only way to know for sure. Next, find out if the blood-type workout is worthwhile.
It’s generally a good idea to know your blood type even if you don’t have golden blood. Not only will having the information speed things up if you need a life-saving transfusion, but certain blood types also seem connected with certain health conditions.

but is that not what happens when their is flooding

dude, raising sea levels is normal but the flooding here has nothing to do with rising sea levels..rising sea levels is when the ocean banks overflow, what we have here is not an overflow of the Atlantic ocean rather normal flooding, due to rainfall.
At this juncture, I will like to say that I heard all what you have said however I will appreciate if you can give me references to back up ya arguments so I can read them up. Thanks

i understand that in a geographical area, rain can not be the same but what are we going to say for instance about flooding in a particular area, where one street is flooded while the next street is not, this similar occurrence is what mostly happens in Nigeria and not only in Nigeriia, in many countries, just because the media posted a picture of flooding does not mean the cause was global warming, most of these pictures are just half truth, do not show the reality of things in that given area.

are we going to say because a particular street was flooded, it means global warming was the cause , what are we going to say about the next street in that given area where no flooding occurred

if the amount of rain fall increase, a street with a good drainage system will absorb all the amount of rainfall less than a street without proper or no drainage system.

i would have agreed with you, if the Atlantic ocean overflew its boundaries.
I quite agree with you partially, however, I will like you to read about FLASH FLOOD. In some instances the drainages are overwhelmed due to the volume of water which is beyond the capacity of the drainages. Also topography of the place is also a factor. In a nutshell sea level is rising which is attributed to climate change due to global warming.

respective of Nigeria, flooding have been happening before the popularity of global warming in the global media.

canals over flowing their channels, and all sort of stuff, in the island for instance, proper drainage system is lacking, gutters are blocks, when rain fall in those areas, it always flood

so what are we going to say about areas also in the island that there was no flooding? why did that happened, i am sure the same rain that fell that day, fell on those places
I quite agree with you that we have poor drainage system in Nigeria. However, I have to explain that Rain doesn't fall in the same quantity in any place around the world. There are a range of reasons for differing rainfall patterns:
1. Atmospheric Temperature,
2. Atmospheric pressure
3. Humidity
4. Gravitaty
5. Ionization
So with all these factors rainfall in a geographical area cannot be the same. Especially due to humidity.

so basically according to you, when their is flooding, it is because of global warming..no flooding can be caused by lack of proper drainage systems......interesting..just because global warming is advertised all over the world does not mean you shouldnt also use your head to think.

so a newspaper is your point of reference that proves global warming is real......very interesting

there are thousands of scientific research about global warming likewise there are thousand of scientific research that shows global warming doesn't exist.
Hey Brother, I am not saying that flooding doesn't exist. But what I am implying is that the recent increase in flood incidents are consequences of global warming / climate change. There is increase in water levels due to melting glaciers which is as a result of increase in temperature and co2 emissions.

Kindly read from NASA's website on the effects. At least NASA is a scientific body with years of research

Please don't argue blindly. Several scientific studies revealed that global warming is real as well as climate change.

lilwetdick:
pls stop misleading people.... so you think that a melting artic region will affect Nigeria oceans and sea level will increase, are you serious,

so what causes a tsunami?? if it was a tsaunami, i would have believed you but this is ordinary flooding that will clear up when the sun comes out

most cities in Nigeria lack proper drainage system..simple as abc... this has not to do with any global warming.

TravelRe: Man Swims From His House To Friends Place In Jakande Estate, Lekki (Video) by Tbasicme: 7:45pm On Oct 12, 2019
Pls kindly read on global warming and how this brings about climate change. There is increase in water level which is attributed to melting artic region as well as glaciers (ice) as a result of increased earth temperature due to burning of fossil fuel and co2 (carbon di oxide) emission leading to green house effect.

That's just a simple summary of the process

This is not Global warming, this is just poor drainage planning.

Nairaland GeneralHumans Will Not ‘migrate’ To Other Planets, Nobel Winner Says by Tbasicme(op): 9:53am On Oct 12, 2019
Humans will never migrate to a planet outside of Earth's solar system because it would take far too long to get there, Swiss Nobel laureate Michel Mayor said Wednesday.

Mayor and his colleague Didier Queloz were on Tuesday 8th November 2019, awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics for their research refining techniques to detect so-called exoplanets.

"If we are talking about exoplanets, things should be clear: we will not migrate there," Mayor told AFP near Madrid on the sidelines of a conference when asked about the possibility of humans moving to other planets.

"These planets are much, much too far away. Even in the very optimistic case of a livable planet that is not too far, say a few dozen light-years, which is not a lot, it's in the neighbourhood, the time to go there is considerable," he added.
"We are talking about hundreds of millions of days using the means we have available today. We must take care of our planet, it is very beautiful and still absolutely liveable."
The 77-year-old said he felt the need to "kill all the statements that say 'OK, we will go to a liveable planet if one day life is not possible on earth'."
"It's completely crazy," he added.
Using custom-made instruments at their observatory in southern France, Mayor and Queloz in October 1995 discovered what had previously only existed in the realm of science fiction -- a planet outside Earth's solar system.
Mayor was a professor at Geneva University and Queloz was his doctorate student when they made the discovery which started a revolution in astronomy. Since then over 4,000 exoplanets have been found in our home galaxy.
"It was a very old question which was debated by philosophers: are there other worlds in the Universe?," Mayor said.
"We look for planets which are the closest (to us), which could resemble Earth. Together with my colleague we started this search for planets, we showed it was possible to study them."
Mayor said it was up to the "next generation" to answer the question of whether there is life on other planets.
"We don't know! The only way to do it is to develop techniques that would allow us to detect life at a distance," he said.
