odimbannamdi: I have followed this thread from the first day it was created and I am quite impressed with how willing nairalanders are willing to help the OP recover her money.
OP, sorry about your loss. But I have a very strong conviction in my spirit that the money can be recovered. Either by using security operatives or setting the scammer up.
A lot of people have offered workable solutions and some have even asked that you contact them personally. Sieve through the suggestions and contact them asap.
With the advancement of technology today, scammers will find it difficult to get away with crime, particular those whose booty were received through well-documented institutions like banks.
Just be hopeful. Yeah! Thank you very much! I'm taking the necessary steps as suggested! |

It's not your fault anyway; it's Nigerian factor, that's what obtains in Nigeria. You sent money to an online fraudster whom you don't know at all. Naturally, you have been scammed. But you should just forgive youself and move on with your job search. May God help you. Amen.. Thank you! |

bigerboy200: U definitely won't wanna know the height of a scammer's desperation ..It could b a male or a female or a transgender. .This is 2016 ohh.The person could even be an agent for real but also using the same role to dupe gullible people...Just thank God that isn't more than 7k X 3.. people have lost millions to criminals..my one kobo advice is that u should be very careful while looking for jobs..No credible organisation or agent will ask u to part with your money for employment..It's total nonsense.. Na wa o! |

Rolings: There are agents that take fees to hook you up with jobs. Most sell application forms which is normal. After getting you the job, some get to share your first month salary or a percentage of your first three months salary so their fee wouldnt be a burden on the applicant but anyone who asks for his share before giving the job is likely a scammer . This is a lesson for you to be more careful next time. Ohh! Thank you |

OYERINDEJ: I work to track down criminals for 40% of d loot but 7k is small. Had it being it was 7m I would simply tell the scammer from another front I have an event n we need ushers the pay will be irresistible even if she is not into ushering she will contract one to get a cut, we meet to discuss she definitely will front cos she will not throw away d contract I will serve as agent to prominent names organizing an event, I will even use an event center so she can see n think of planning. She shows up she pays. Oh ok! That sounds like a plan.. |

laribari: Well the key learning for you here is to never pay a dime to anyone in search of a Job, even if it's an agency.
they should provide the job first because deducting their agency fee from it (which is the only way you can trust that it is genuine) because the bad ones have dented the image of the good ones.
I have a good Job, yet there are alot of calls i have received from agencies that i should come for this Job and that Job but i just ignore them, evening though the proposal is fantastic. Sometimes i wonder who gave all those people my number but because i do not trust agencies, i don't even consider what they say even if it is true.
You have to know what you wanna do and talk to alot of working class people who already have a Job because that way it is faster for you. Once there is an opening, one of them might call you. It worked for me that way after like 3 years without a Job.
I didn't even submit any CV to this multinational firm i work as a manager now but it was all God's connection. However, the people who are close to me that knew i needed a Job contacted me when there was an opening.
First and fore most, you must be able to wait patiently, whether you submit your CV online or you are telling people verbally, you must be able to wait and trust God. This is my advice to you, else you might continue to be scammed.
Another key thing is what are you applying for? There are departments and Jobs that have slim chance of having quick/constant opening and that way, your wait is probably going to be very long.
The key thing is to Lessons learnt! I am a pure and Applied chemistry graduate but I've been applying for graduate trainee jobs in all sector! |

Johnrake69: Go to the bank with the details of your transactions to make a report stating that the said account is being used for fraud. Do this through the bank's whistle blowing channel and the account will be frozen. You can equally look up CBN's whistle blowing procedure. Even if you don't get your money back that personality would have really hard time doing any bank transaction. Thank God for BVN! Tell me more about this whistle blowing procedure please! |
