You're on point!! Sometimes I wish I could be invincible.. While I was on camp, I got a lot of attention; corps member, soldiers, man o war even mammy people no carry last. At first, I was enjoying it and feeling cool but it got to a point that I almost broke down in tears. It became too much and embarrassing cz my friend wouldn't wanna walk with me. It actually got boring and frustrating that I had to start being harsh. The point is; too much of everything is not good..

Kosigift: Yea, in our time, d soldiers were allowed to come in2 d rooms and they were also very free to drag u out even if u are naked. We actually reported to d then camp director in one of d morning drills, she den pleaded wit d RSM to allow only female soldiers into female hostels.
Dat didn't stop d soldiers from coming oh, d only difference was dat d female soldiers will first of all enter to make noise b4 they(d males) will follow suit. So whenever d female soldiers come in, everyone tries to cover up.
D camp director is d best person to take the matter to and by all means do speak up. If it turns out not to favour u, fine! Buh at least, u made a move.

They'll only tell you to stop being naked when in the room.

point taken but it is not right for male soldiers to go into female rooms when there are female soldiers that can do the job..

Kosigift: I officially welcome u all to Edo state! I am a BatchC 2013 corp member serving in Benin. Lemme give u guys dis few tips:
For d girls, there's this small bucket they sell in camp, pls get it if u don't want "INFECTION" to be added to ur name @ the end of the 21days.
In terms of taking ur bath, na outside tins oh be it morning or night so just try to get up early. In d process of bathing, those Man O'war guys or even soldiers may come to d hostel to drive, just sofri use ur two hands cover ur face till they pass. Even if they stop in front of u to scold u or ask questions, no just answer dem, just make sure ur face is well covered n 4get d oda "particulars" cos no be only u carry am come camp

Again, dat camp will be damn muddy nw so I'll suggest u go wit rubber canvass. I think its sold for 500 in camp.
Generally eh, camp is fun! Just forget d environment and make d best out of d situation..

pls ma'am, do the soldiers come into your room? And some of us are planning to report them, who can we go to and what will you advise?

rationalmind: It might not be as bad as we're led to believe. After all, the camp is just for three weeks and you might end up getting a favourable PPA.

Be careful about giving anyone money to help with re-deployment. I need not remind you what happened to several people who paid money to influence their posting.

As per your question, I don't know. But I am sure people still serve in the private sectors because I personally know some of them. You would need a letter to NYSC requesting your service by the company.
