Without airport, Anambra became the 4th largest economy in Nigeria. Without airport Anambra became the economic hub of SE region. Without airport or even seaport Anambra became the most industrialized state in the SE. Without airport Anambra 's GDP ranked among the top 5 in Nigeria. So what's your point?

Obiano is the best governor in the region and among the few best in Nigeria because he has affected all sectors: infrastructure, education, agriculture, human capital development, etc. Even your cursed useless father who couldn't achieve anything in life cannot even win an election in your umunna meeting not to talk of becoming a governor.

Now tell me ,apart from Abuja and Lagos and maybe Rivers state, which other state in Nigeria needs airport more than Anambra.

Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has commended the proprietor of Hilton Liesure Hotel, Awka for heeding his Aku Luo Uno call.

Governor Obiano gave the commendation when he visited the hotel which was commissioned last Friday.

The Governor who described the edifice as tastefully built and furnished, said that once the ongoing airport is completed, visitors will need good hotels to lodge, expressing optimism that it will enjoy high patronage.

While stressing that Anambra is open and viable for business and investments, he called for more ndi Anambra and non-ndi Anambra to think home and bring their investments into Anambra.

Speaking about his motivation, Igwe Ben Emeka who is also the Traditional Ruler of Umueri said that the security architecture built by Governor Obiano engineered him into bringing out his God-given resources to develop his home state.

He called for all hands to be on deck to work towards building the dream Anambra, admonitioning against building other states, while Anambra is dire need of investors and development.

State Government Grants Funds for Refinery Project

The local government of Nigeria’s Anambra State has approved the granting of an additional 500 million naira to Orient Petroleum Resources for the construction of a refinery within the state. Anambra governor, Peter Obi, said the government’s investment in the company was to assist it to achieve its goals. Orient plans the refinery project to be up and running in 2009.
The refinery project is expected to generate revenues and employment for people in the state. While some residents will be displaced, Obi said that compensation would be offered to them for the use of their land.
The state government in Anambra plans to invest between 5-10% of its annual budget on projects to generate income for the state.

Any news about this refinery? It was expected to start production in 2009 but this is 2020 and no information about the products from this supposed refinery in the last 11 years.
