Michael547:I have already told you what to do |
Michael547:I told you when I would answer. |
Michael547:I just asked you? I will answer if you don't know or if you fail |
Michael547:And I have explained many times now outline what you want me to explain. |
Michael547:When you decide tell me what you want me to explain, I will. I have already explained everything but if you want a specific thing explained clearly detail it. |
Michael547:Who is Jehovah |
Michael547:Mention them please so we can discuss them one by one since you want to be spoonfed |
Michael547:The are separate person but the are one in government, policy so if the Tinubu government put out a policy, can the vice president distance himself from it? Now even the oneness of Christ and his Father is much greater than your president and vice. It's impossible for both to have separate laws. Again, hope you know that Christ was the Jehovah of the old testament. |
Michael547:Please mention the particular law you want me to discuss |
show me where I said the father and son has different laws. I am asking you if Jesus himself said he was the one that gave the laws he Changed in Matt 5:21-32. Yes or no? Good, so you know that the Father and Son don't have different laws or different followers that answers it. So you understand that the laws given to Moses represented the will of both the Father and Son and you understand that the faithful followers of God were followers of both the Father and Son then why are you arguing? |
Lol....if it is not Jesus who made the statement in Matt 3:17 even though he and his father are one, then when did Jesus tell you that he was the one that told Moses the law since he and his father is one? Matt 3.17 has no link with Moses and the law. Please what point are you making here. Explain. Or it seems you are saying that the Father and Son has different set of laws right? Lol....is the law in Exodus 22:28-31 also a legal law that should not be followed by Christians today? Yes or no? This question shows you have not understood anything I have been saying to you. Please what does the bible teach you about animal sacrifice? |
since the father and Jesus are one, who made the statement in Matt 3:17? Another foolish question that shows you have not been paying attention to anything I have been saying. Explain how this question is in context of our discussion. It's true that I am very patient with you but you should not ask questions that have nothing to do with our discussion. I already told you how they are one and that they are not the same person so why are you wasting my time. What of the law in Exodus 22:28-31, should we follow those laws today? Honestly you are making me think you are really slow when you keep asking questions that have been answered. From our discussion so far do you think animal sacrifice has been fulfilled in Christ or not. Don't only ask questions. Try to remember the answers and learn. |
Where did Jesus tell you that he was the one who gave the isrealites the law in Matt 5:21-31? Was it also Jesus that made the statement in Matt 3:17? You have asked this question a 100 time but my answer is not changing. The Father and the Son are one You are the most deceptive person I've discussed with......When did Jesus tell you that that the law in Exodus 22:16, 17 was no longer to be followed since he was the one that set the law for Christians? Which of the law of moses is not a legal law or government law from Jesus to the isrealites since you said Jesus ruled as king over earthly isreal? Is the law in Exodus 22:28 also a legal law that should not be followed for Christians today according to you? You are the most confused person I have discussed with. Please calm yourself down and ask a clear question. And I have already answered your last question. I think you have a problem understanding your own questions. In the days of Moses, the nation of Israel was ruled directly by the king of Israel Jesus. He established it's laws. But in his earthly ministry he said his kingdom was not of this world. So the law you talk about has been fulfilled. What is your question exactly? |
I never said they have different set of rules. I am asking you if Jesus said he was the one that gave the old laws? Was it Jesus that made the statement in Matt 3:17? Your first statement already answers your question. The laws of Jesus is the laws of the Father. Oga you are funny ooo....Is the legal or government law in Exodus 22:16, 17 no longer from Christ to his Christian followers? Oga has Jesus fulfilled the law in Exodus 22:16, 17? Yes or no? You seem to have forgotten the question you asked and the answer I gave you. The legal law was again fulfilled in Christ when he told you that his kingdom is not earthly. When he ruled over the earthly kingdom of Israel, he set the laws as the government do you get it now? |
So where did Jesus tell you he was the one that gave the law because he and his father are one? Was it Jesus that made the statement in Matt 3:17? Do you even read what you wrote. The Father and the Son are one. The laws of the Father and the Laws of the Son are One. They don't have different set of rules. I shouldn't be telling you this nah? Oga what do you mean laws of state? Does the law not belong to Christ? Is the law in Exodus 22:16, 17 not for Christians wherever they live? It's clear that you did not understand me answer or you have forgotten your question. First do you understand that the laws in Exodus 22 are legal laws or government laws? If you do, then I can explain better to you |

Do you have a question here or are you just reposting my response |
You yourselves have said here that the father and the son are not the same person. So Where did Jesus tell you that he was the one that gave the laws that he was changing in Matthew 5:21-31? So do you have to be the same person to be one? Again he said, if you see me, you have seen the Father. Their plans aims, opinions are 100% the same. That's what it means. If you ask Jesus Christ a question, you will get exactly the same answer as the Father will give you. They don't operate under different laws. Hope you understand now. Has the law in Exodus 22:16, 17 been fulfilled in Christ? Yes or no? The laws in Exodus 22 were legal laws of state, Jesus Christ told you, my kingdom is not of this world. Even you know this so why ask what you know. |
From your comments above, Where did Jesus claim to have given the laws that he later changed? He doesn't need to make any claim. He is the Word of God. It's so obvious that you only need to read your Bible to understand this. Again he told you that " I and my Father are one." This alone answers your question. The laws of the Father are the laws of the Son they don't operate under different laws, every Christian knows this. Are we obligated to obey all the laws in Exodus chapter 22 since following them means following Christ? Have the laws been fulfilled in Christ? If yes, you have your answer. If No, you know what to do. So please answer that question.
|
From your comments above, Where did Jesus claim to have given the laws that he later changed? According to your explanation above, is Jesus the law giver of the old laws or he is the law itself? This is an already answered question. We both agreed that Jesus is the word of God so that answers your question. The old testament contains the word of God. If following the old laws was the same as following Christ according to your comment above, Would changing the old laws not mean that Jesus was changing himself? How does changing the laws mean that Jesus is changing himself please explain. What about the rest of the old laws that Jesus did not mention or talk about, are we under obligation to follow them since following the old laws means following Christ according to you Hope you know that when the bible talks about the laws, it refers to the law of Moses and not the entire old testament? So you need to be specific. Jesus Christ says Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. So you are still required to honour you father and mother, and not have any God before him and we can go on and on until all be fulfilled as he said. |
Michael547:For your second question, read your Bible for more these are just a few examples. For your first question, that should be a question to Jesus Christ. But he is the law giver and he has the right to change it. I will not question his authority and you shouldn't either. |
viccy12:You have a funny way of thinking. But let's ok. |
Bestmanfornow:I am from Anambra but I completely agree with the criticism. This is not the role of Government. |
Michael547:For your second question, I have answered more than once. Please go back to my older posts and pay attention. Now for the fírst, let me give you a few examples. 1. Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: 2 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 3 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; These 3 examples should be enough for you |
Michael547:Christ has already answered and I have already shared that verse with you. Matthew 5:17-20 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. |
SmartPolician:You have a point but if you take away those two groups what would remain? Dry bones!! |
You clearly stated up here that the entire old testament has the word of God which is 'Jesus Christ'. And you said that those who follow the words of the prophets were actually following Christ. So why should we stop following the old testament today that contains the law of moses and the prophets since it means following Christ? I never said you should stop following the old testament. Even Jesus Christ quoted from the old testament to overcome temptation. But then I gave you the perfect analogy. If you are on a ten mile race, both the person on mile 2 and the person on mile one are both heading the same direction. It doesn't make sense for the person on mile 2 to go back to mile one since he has already fulfill mile one. So again to the verses I quoted. The law is a school master to lead you to Christ now Christ has fulfilled the law. Now, we learnt earlier that both the old and new testament contains the word of God right. You also need to learn that the house of God is orderly and not divided. You seem to believe that there is a division between the Father's people and Jesus Christ's people. But this makes no sense. Remember, I and my Father are one. There is no division. If you are a follower of the Father, you are most definitely a follower of the son. |
Michael547:I am not sure you understand anything I said. But I will make it very easy for you. Imagine you are on a ten mile journey, Let's take the old testament as the first mile and the new testament as the second mile. Now both the person in the first mile and the person in the second mile are all heading the same direction and to the same destination. Now your last sentence, I have already answered or should I say Paul already answered, the law was a school master to lead us to Christ. I gave you another verse that says Christ is the fulfillment of the law. But scriptures clearly tell you that the law ultimately leads to Christ. If you follow the law, it was meant to lead you to Christ and Christ was meant to lead you to the Father. Now I did not write the scripture so the question should be, do you believe the word of God? This isn't about what you nor I says, it's about what the scriptures teach. |
Michael547:Please explain why this question is important. I have already taught you that 24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. The only purpose of the law was to bring you to Christ. Christ is the central purpose of the law of Moses. The law is fulfilled in him. The Jews who followed the law as their school master ended up in Christ. How is that too hard for you to understand. Now the law began with Moses but before the law, for example in the days of Abraham, what do you think christian worship was based on. |
Aemmyjah:Not the same person but it's impossible to follow one and not follow the other. As I said, Jesus Christ is the word of God. You can't accept The Father without his word. And every single prophet in the old testament was declaring the Word of God. John 5:39-47 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The sacrifices of the old testament were made in preparation of his coming. The law and the prophets find fulfillment in him. That means they all were pointing to him so when you follow the law, it leads to Christ. The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ Matthew 5:17-18 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. |
Aemmyjah:Another simple way to look at it. Do you agree that Jesus Christ is the Word of God? If so, the entire old testament has the word of God and those who followed the words of the prophets were following the word of God (Jesus Christ) This is the simplest way I can explain it to you. |
Aemmyjah:Very good question and your question actually proves what I have been saying. From the early stage Moses and all prophets were pointing the people to Jesus Christ and their sacrifices were performed in similitude to his. So clearly their whole religion was about following Jesus Christ. One more thing, Jesus Christ taught that I and my Father are one so it is simply impossible to follow one and not follow the other. Now if your argument is that people in the Old Testament did not have all the teachings of Christ as we presently do, then you are right but then Isaiah makes us understand Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: So we expect more revelations as time goes on. Again the the Book of Hebrew we learn God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; So both in the Old and New Testament, it was the word of God revealed. There is no difference between the word of God and the word of Christ |
Michael547:Now you are going back to repeating yourself . So after we have answered all your questions, you now start repeating them. Very smart of you |
