Well some people be aware of this while some don't but i feel like to share to create awareness.

Before using the code *737# with ZERO balance on airtel lines for any transaction used to be free (thats my line with the bank anyway). So of recent i got a message from GTB that you must have at least 5 NAIRA minimum for any USSD transaction, agreed and this is how I've been using it for sometimes now.

So just this morning, i made a recharge of 100 to transfer some money to other accounts and before i could blink fhiiamm! The 100 don go ah! Why? Wetin apun? I thought maybe i sub for one useless service way dem get so i had to put another 200 card to do the transfer first but i don de para already.

I con take the annoyance called their customer care and the werey guy that picked the call con de tell me say AIRTEL IS NOW CHARGING 5 NAIRA PER 20 SECONDS YOU STAY USING THE CODE.

As in for instance if yu just dialed the code and you didn't do anything again or you de wait/delay, they are charging you 5naira/20secs i.e. The more time you stay with the code the more your money de go like say yu de make call.

Its not about the 100 card but this is fraud from GTB and many people might not be aware also. The tin vex me ehn. I de go upgrade their app thats what i'll be using now.
