Let me give you an insight on how these guys make their money . They help our politicians to keep money in foreign accounts with their own registered but non functioning company names . They get 10% from whatever is laundered . So now imagine 10% of 100m dollars is 10million dollars , even if it just 5 percent it is still 5 million dollars. The cars he claimed to have got is not up to 1 million dollars and we know how frequently our politicians swindle us in millions .

Nigerians love to brag as been educated but fail to do so when it matters. Two thing about this statement mixup is , either the educated ones understands what the president actually mean and are just playing politics as usual or a large percentage of them are illiterates who just take words from the surface .
As far as the world of politics is concerned , all oppositions are ‘necessary evil’ . They are ‘evil’ because in most cases they will always do things to undermine the sitting government, work as a spy just to get back to power . This practice is everywhere democracy is being practiced . And they are necessary because without them the sitting government would feel too relaxed and rule with no caution .
A good example is football leagues . Barca with his recent dominance of Spanish football will always see Madrid as necessary evil because Madrid as an opposition would always try to see Barca fail even aside from Madrid winning their own games . So this makes them (Madrid )necessary as it makes Barca work harder and never relax .
So picking a part of the presidents statement just to incite the people against the government would only make them look more stupid .

It always break my spirit when I see people with very good English sounding so myopic and silly . Religion or fasting aside . Would you have come with so muc bitterness if the president had take a 1 hour break to go have lunch in the middle of a FEC meeting ? Or if he ends the meeting by 6 just to go have dinner , I am sure it wouldn’t have been news . But because it has religion undertone you lost your sense of reasoning and threw logic to the wind . It pays not to be intentionally unfortunate.

I don’t know why some hypocrites are slamming this move. Where I reside presently I have a friend running a private loan business and I can tell you there are lots of these petty traders queueing up to get loan as low as 5k and 10k to fix some part of their business . I have a lady that started pepper selling business with 3k , now she is doing moderately with her husband .
