For the same price, LG TVs will give you a far superior design and display quality. Check the average 32 inches Samsung LED TVs around, they are usually bulky with poor display that is nothing to write home about. Next on my list is the LG wallpaper TV.

Shuga is a TV series that was first aired in November 2009 on MTV Base as part of an initiative dubbed MTV Staying Alive Ignite!.It was commissioned by MTV Networks Africain association with The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, PEPFAR (The US President's Emergency Fund for Aids Relief), the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation (HFG) and the Government of Kenya, as part of a ground-breaking multimedia campaign to spread the message about responsible sexual behaviour and tolerance. It later became a hit and was aired in 40 different African countries before it was aired internationally in over 70 television stations.[2] It was thought to be a very controversial series by the senior generation of Kenyans because it contained some scenes that contained sexually explicit content.[3] It bagged a Gold award in May 2010 at the World Media Festival in Hamburg, Germany in the Public Relations Health category for its vivid and uncompromising focus on love, emotions and sexual behavior amongst the Kenyan youth. Am not a fan of Iyanya but I think for a song like "Kolomenta" to make it, Kukure should be there because that song rocks 2012. In short, songs like Yahooze, Skelewu, kukure, shoki etc should not be forgotten.

If you are asked to name the top 20 Nigerian Hit Songs of all time, Which Song will make your list? I guess you are thinking of naming songs like Yahooze by Olu Maintain, African Queen by 2 Face Idibia, Kolomental by Faze, Shokey by Daddy Shokey ….. and bla bla bla!

Just as you may be surprised by the songs i chose above, So will you by the latest Top 20 Nigerian songs of All time which MTV Africa Released recently…Songs by artistes like African China, Fela, Daddy Showkey and Sound Sultan are conspicuously missing, which has led several social media commentators to agree that the list of more a motley mix of the last ten years of Nigerian pop culture as it references music, and not really an ‘all-time’ list.

See the Full list Below:

1 (1) 2 (1)
3 (1)

Meanwhile, Iyanya in a (subsequently deleted) tweet aired his grievances for not making the list.

Below is a retweet:

Lmao. RT @Iyanya: So Kukere is NOT amongst the 20 Top Nigeria Songs of All Time!!’ Lol wonders shall never END!!!! Ahead Ahead

NAVTINO45:
it is not only expensive but exploitative, presently tecno phantom 6 plus with a mediatek helio x20 processor which is far better than the p25 is selling for 98k and less in some areas .
Nokia 8 with a snapdragon 835 chip and corning gorilla glass is selling for 188k, (A nokia flagship device)

but tecno phantom 8 which is a mid range device is selling for 128k ,not even with a 128 gig inbuilt memory, forget the 6gig ram, is more expensive to get a higher rom than Ram,
how much is xiaomi mi6 which is another flagship device with high specs.

They better cut the price and sell it 75k, else nokia 6,5, and xiaomi mid range and high end devices will outstrip and outsell them in the African and Nigerian market ,which is likely.
low sales and returns loading......

ARA’S LAMENTATIONS: Nigerian men don’t know how to woo women anymore
ON February 27, 2016 6:53 AM / IN
Entertainment , News / Comments
*I’m not Omawumi or Tiwa Savage but foreigners appreciate my music more than Nigerians
Nigeria’s foremost goddess of the talking drum, musician and stage performer, Yinka Ara, simply known as ‘Ara’ recently talked about the value Nigerians place on their culture, traditions and hearitage. In a recent chat with Showtime Celebrity, the talking drummer passionately poured out her heart on why she has not really been active in the Nigerian music industry, and spoke about her love life and what fans should expect from her in 2016.
By Rotimi Agbana
Her prolonged inactivity in the Nigerian music industry
I have not been out of the industry; the pain in my heart is the fact that people don’t promote culture and my brand of music. People want to do hip-hop, and when you have something different and unique but doesn’t seem popular or commercial as they would term it, little or nothing is heard about you even though you are doing something or a whole lot of things. I would say that I’ve not been out, I’ve been working, I’ve been having a whole lot of performances, but you won’t see me on HipTv or Nigezie because they don’t appreciate my brand of music. I’m not an Omawumi, Tiwa Savage or Wizkid. How many people want to listen to the talking drum? We’re more accepted outside Nigeria. Maybe the perception is ‘it’s our thing’ but out there, they know what it really means for a female to play instruments. I play well over five drums.
Those who really appreciate Ara’s kind of music
Its foreigners that appreciate my music because Nigerians do not place value on their culture, let alone promote it. Foreigners appreciate the Nigerian culture and my kind of music even more than Nigerians, and that’s the truth.
Perception of Nigerians towards Ara’s kind of music
I do really want to change things because I’m a Nigerian and I’m a mother. I want my son and other children to enjoy what we enjoyed when we were growing up. These days, what is churned out there is beautiful music and beautiful sounds enjoying widespread support from the corporate community but our kind of music, which is more cultural in nature is not appreciated the way it should. We need corporate bodies to invest, to put in something to encourage us. And that is why you see the likes of Asa, Lagbaja, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti are not really doing stuff here in Nigeria because our kind of music is more appreciated out there and we kind of play for a selected kind of audience who will appreciate that. Well, we are looking into it and hopefully, we would have people who would support what we do, then you would see us on all the music channels.
Fans’ expectation from Ara in 2016
Yeah, this year, if I have corporate bodies who want to partner with me, why not? I already have shows booked for 2016 in the United States, China and all of those places. Yes, they love our kind of music. I was in China last year and we are going to tour China again this year. But I would love to have something here, maybe a drum festival, music and drums or something. Well, if we put a team together and our sponsors are ready, there is nothing wrong in having something like that. I look forward to having sosmething like that here, and I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to the new Ooni of Ife. He has revived my faith, and not just my faith but also the faith of every cultural practitioner or rather culturally inclined artiste. You know, he has reawakened that zeal to promote our culture, especially in Nigeria. He is God-sent to our race, so I say a big ‘thank you’ to him.
Her take on relationships and status
I’m not married but I have a son. I’ve not been in a relationship for a long time now and I’ve not been dating for a long time, at all. It’s for a very personal reason. I strongly believe in love; solely in love. I’m very deep, I don’t believe in flings or short-term relationship; I go all the way. So, if I can get what I want why not. It’s unfortunate that our society has gotten so bad that our men don’t even know how to woo a woman anymore; really, men don’t know how to woo women anymore. So when women like me who are deep, who have substance, virtuous women, want a man to go a way he should go, they get scared halfway and pull out. So, until that man comes, I’m going to wait and if he doesn’t come I’ll adopt two more kids in addition to my son and move on with my life. That’s it for me.
Opinion on 2016 celebrity beefs, scandals and controversies
(Laughs) Well, sometimes it’s just a game, a gimmick to sell publicity and sometimes its real, but I wouldn’t know if what happened earlier this year was real or was some kind of gimmick.
On whether celebrity beefs are healthy or not for the entertainment industry
See, if you ask me all these questions about the industry, I’m out of the box. Well, whatever works for anyone, whatever works for them is okay.
How she has managed to avoid scandals
I’m out of the box, a lot of people see me as a drummer and the perception is because of the kind of music and instrument I play. People think something else, right? People think when you play the kind of instrument I play, being the very first woman to play it and be successful at it, people will believe that because you believe in culture and tradition you are fetish. But that is not the kind of person I’m. That is where they get it all wrong. My lifestyle is totally different from that, so you will never find me near scandals. I’ve made my mistakes as a human being, which is normal with everybody. And I have learned lessons. So, on a normal day, you will never find Ara near scandal. I don’t believe in pre-marital sex , I don’t believe in philandering, I don’t believe in a whole lot of things. I don’t believe in going naked to sell my music or brand. I don’t conform to that thing that is perceived to be the ‘in thing’ in the entertainment industry.
Personal opinion on the political and socio-economic situation in the country
I’m very passionate about this country; I am ready to contribute to the progress and national development of Nigeria whenever I’m called upon. In Nigeria, we criticise everything, the social media is not helping the matter, sabotage, propaganda, people don’t want us to see the light, the truth, there is too much propaganda out there and we are being misinformed intentionally. This has to stop because this country is great, greater than you and I. The earlier you and I realize that the better. I tell people that we are too volatile in Nigeria, we are too angry against one another, we shouldn’t be. What we need is reorientation, we need to show love for the love of this country. We need to love one another, show love to one another and neglect this crazy Nigerian mentality. We are a culturally rich people, our heritage is so rich and deep, we need to get out of this craze that is eating everybody up, this ‘get rich quick syndrome’; rituals, internet scams, prostitution, and a whole lot.
CelebritiesRe: Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu: Nigerian Men Romantic When They Haven’t Tasted Honey Pot by techgeniusworld(m): 1:35pm On Nov 13, 2017
britzreus:
Nigerian Fashion Stylist Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu, has in a recent interview given the only reason Nigerian men become romantic..

According to her, they are romantic when they haven't had sex

Read excerpts from the interview with Vanguard below;

After your degree in Economics why is fashion styling the next option for you?

For me, fashion has been my way of life. It has been my culture and I knew it was the next thing for me as I needed to embed my ideas into other people.

How does it feel to have recently won the Face of Candid City Stylist award?

It feels very timely. I feel very joyous, elated and advantageous. Experience over the years has shown that easterners hardly encourage educating the female child.

How were you able to achieve a degree in economics with this age-long challenge?

I personally think it is a very primordial and ancient way of thinking. The world has gone past that now. Women are almost the most highly educated humans.

Check the ten most educated people on the planet. There’s a woman with a high IQ of over 200. Also, how I was able to achieve this was self determination, considering the family that I come from.

Contrary to your recent audacious declaration that you have never dated a man that is good in bed, during an interview with Broadway TV, how would you describe yourself?

I will describe myself as inventive, productive, with integrity, industrious, and very emotional.

What pisses you off about the Nigerian culture?

Nothing pisses me off. I get so emotional being a Nigerian. Our culture is multi-ethnic and so are our people.

I cherish every moment and every piece of our culture. This is my heritage.

What’s the role of sex in a romantic relationship?

I think it connects and helps you bond whilst creating a sense of happiness, giving you a better self esteem.

You once said you like to be ‘Old School’ when it comes to romantic issues. Would you say there are still romantic men in Nigeria?

Men in Nigeria are only romantic when they haven’t tasted the honey pot.

Can a woman change a cheating man?

Variety they say, is the spice of life. Once a woman can bring various interesting spices to the relationship, he would have no where to go.

So, Yes! There’s a woman out there who can change a cheating man.

I think the point the guy is trying to make is that the brand name "Don" which represented his past brand should be dropped for a better name that qualifies his present state more aptly. Real life mafia dons do not rebrand and then continue to bear the name/title don or capone. That is the point here.

My opinion. The name Don jazzy is sweet and already house hold, so he need not change it.

CelebritiesRe: Who Is Really A Legend In The Contemporary Nigerian Music Industry? by techgeniusworld(m): 10:59am On Nov 13, 2017
Caseless:
you're confused and do not know what you want people to tell you.

People are not tagged legend in their active days. It's when they retire and their work speak for them and immortalizes them that they assumed that "legendary" status. Jordan , Micheal Jackson, Fela , Tupac , biggie , Pele , maradona , etc , were not called legends in their time. A potential legend waits for his "inactive" days and count number of his achievement or records that are unmatched, then the world begin to draw the appellation to them.

Davido , wizkid , etc are all legends because that dictionary you depended on for answer.

I wonder why messi, Ronaldo, etc are not addressed as football legends just yet.

Pirlos is a legend by all measurements, but no one address him as such. But he has retired now and you're gonna see that appellation locating him.

The English dictionary defines a Legend as someone that has an extraordinary accomplishment. Webster dictionary of English defines the terminology “legend “as a person or thing that is very famous for having special qualities or abilities.

Music pundits, listeners and lovers have over the years expressed divergent opinions as to the validity and appropriateness of the terminology “Legend” being indiscriminately conferred on some recording artistes (not musicians) in the Nigerian music industry with many claiming most of the recipients do not deserve and are not befitting of such title/appellation in cognizance of corresponding exploits, years and rate of success in the music industry.

The rate at which every tom, dick and harry is being labelled a Legend is alarming and can only be considered a mere puff.

It should be noted that while some of these artistes tagged legends are well deserving, the comparison of some artistes to the real legends constitutes nothing but an act of disrespect and not giving proper recognition and honour to whom it is due. The holy book of the Christians says “Give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar”. This appellation “Legend” given to some of the not so deserving artistes is what pushes some of them to misbehave even to their superiors or even rest on their oars and reduce their efforts because they feel that they have finally arrived. The only Legend most of these type of artistes deserve is Legend extra stout.

IN MY OPINION, taking into consideration the practicability of the subject matter and looking at the issue from a realist perspective armed with the knowledge of the custom usage of the word “Legend “and conferment in the past, it is pertinent to note that certain factors are to be put into consideration when considering giving someone the title “Legend” vis a vis the Nigerian Music industry.

One has to take into consideration the Period of “Active “years of the so called artist in the music industry, the impact of their songs in the society, number of Mega Hits, Number of Hit Features, endorsements over a certain period of time, Brand and content acceptance, versatility and then amount and quality of successful artists that such individual has groomed amongst others.

The Likes of Sunny Ade, Sunny Okposu, Ebenezer Obey,Fela anikulapo kuti, Ik dairo ,Onyenka Onwenu ,Zaaki ,Orlando owoh and others tick the boxes in most of the above listed requirements.

As far as the contemporary Nigerian music industry is concerned, personally, I would mention only 2face, Dbanj, Psquare ,Davido , Olamide (yes) and Wizkid as Legends in the Industry. The rest are towing the path to achieve this great status and in few years’ time and with consistency, most of the remaining A list Nigerian artists will be considered Legends for their contribution to the music industry.

Legends should never be mistaken for pioneers. Because one is the pioneer of a genre of music at a particular time or the forerunner at a particular time, doesn’t automatically make one a legend. Ask Mr Eazi, self-acclaimed creator of Banku music if you think I am lying.

In the 21st century Nigerian Music Industry, who do you think qualifies to be labelled a Legend??

i agree the emphasis on tithe is too much.the truth is this. I have not gone to church since 1994 and i do not pay my tithe. Im a pastor that teaches people to follow God. I do not ask people to pay me tithe . I tell them to give their hearts and minds to God. The truth is if you go to church you should pay tithe. To pay tithe is to give back to your church. Going to church is like a relationship you cannot go to church and want to take and take and take. Life is give and take. I dont go to church so i dont pay tithe and since i preach the gospel i dont need to pay anyone. I am the giver. if you want to stop paying tithe stop going to church and start telling people about God. God will bless you abundantly this way. If you go to church you should pay tithe.
