Nairaland has a huge domain authority and page rank then even when you publish the articles first on your website, Nairaland will rank higher than yours...

Blogging doesn't deals with writing only,it also deals with how you make things easier for your readers.

Changing theme has its bad and good sides.

1. Because I don't want to change theme I should stick to a theme even if I find a more suitable theme in the future? Yes! It good to do a lot of research before using a theme but then that doesn't mean you will not later find a better one.

2. Changing theme can help increase your CTR. Do your analysis on that. I have and it came positive mostly for a blog with a lot of returning visitors. It's insignificant though on a blog with mostly new visitors .

Well changins somethings on your blog are disastrous for your blog but you just love tampering with it!!

1.Domain name : Seriously if your reasons for changing your domain name aren't tangible,i see no reason why you will want to change it without using it for at least a decade.

Changing your domain name correlates with that of a man that built a house,you know he is the owner and he keep packing from one place to another,you kow it will be very hard for visitors to locate Such Man. They will get frustrated visiting and cramming his address.

2.Niche : Visitors are different from visitors and they visit your blog for different purposes so if visitors that love sport related news before later discover you've changed from sports to Politics,they will just search for your blog alternatives on search engine.
For example,you built a company that sells smartphones before,you use to advertise your company on radio,Tv e.t.c.
And all of a sudden you change your company from selling smartphones to the one that sells Drinks.

All the money you must have spent advertising are wasted,you will start building the company from scratch again.
That's just how changing niches relate to

3.Slug :
Slugs are words added to the suffix of a URL for your posts and pages that best describe what your post or page is all about in your URL.

For example, the full URL for this post is “ http://www.techinfo.com.ng/2016/09/13/things-you-shouldnt-change-frequently-on-your-blog “, where “things-you-shouldnt-change-frequently-on-your-blog” is the slug itself.

Changing slugs from time to time may seriously affect your s.e.o.,google can,t keep crawling your pages everytime,it may not change your URL again so when people search for the the topic you changed its slug it will keep showing 404 error except if your blog platform supports redirecting

4.Captcha: Many when they think their blog is getting additional traffic,they change their simple 1+1 captcha to tough captchas and they feel OK their readers should get it simply because they want to stop Robots,visitors that want to comment on your blogs before but they just want to manage,believe me immediately they sight one yeye captcha they will change their mind immediately.

Many seems to downgrade the magic of sharing posts on social Media.They count it as as a mere child play.You are wrong "There are are outstanding benefits" of sharing your posts on social media

1.Increase Traffic : If you are the type that have many followers on twitter,it will be of benefit to you if you start sharing your blog posts,if i could recall vividly about last year when i opened a forum,then my twitter followers aren't even up to 50 but when i share on twitter only at least i will get a minimum of 8 clicks talkless of you having 10,000 followers

2.Update your tweets : One outstanding benefit of sharing your post is that at same time you hunt for traffic your tweets will be increasing which will keep your blog alive. Many don't really enjoy tweeting,tweeting and tweeting all the time but they want to keep their tweets updated.Sharing
your posts is like using a stone to kill a bird.

3.Increase Likes : When you share your blog topics that solve your follower problems,your likes will increase and such person will even want to know more about your blog and may later on become a unique vistor on your blog

4.Increase Backlinks : Backlink is a major factor we can't just put aside when we talk of blogging we all know that,sharing your posts will give you a step ahead above your competitors when you share and change some social media settings like adding your description for twitter and Facebook

I absolutely disagree on the note that it's affordable many Nigerians want to use .ng but it is unreasonably expensive e.g goto whogohost.com and type your desired domain with .ng and compare it to .com/com.ng you'll realize that .ng is just unrealistic for a startup or newbie entrepreneur in Nigeria. Only big companies use .ng I would advice you to reach out to NRA or who ever is in charge of web domain in Nigeria to reduce the cost of domain in Nigeria so that Nigerians will patronize local products. Gracias
