I am surprised that a Nigerian could still be saying this after all the allegations against the family. Were they the first family whose member was a former director in Shell? Even the majority shareholders in shell don't have the money this people have allegedly stolen.

Recalling your representative as a constituent in either the Upper or the Lower Chamber has been mentioned many times in the public domain, but it has not been done before as far as I know (correct me if I am wrong).

Can any one give constitutional steps that can be taken by a constituent to recall its representative? If it is achievable, how easy is it?

Somebody should let this government and their supporters know that the job of the National Assembly is not to rubber stamp the President's budget but to scrutinize it, add or remove whatever they think should be added or removed. That is exactly what they have done. If the President is not satisfied with the budget as passed he should reject it as provided in the constitution. I do not support the idea of harassing, blackmailing and intimidation of the National Assembly by the Presidency,APC, the press and social media. This does not augur well or our democracy. The three arms of Government are independent though interdependent with the constitutional checks and balances. The Presidency,Nigerians and the press should give the legislature and judiciary a breathing space and allow them do their jobs. only then can we progress.

The job of the National Assembly is not to "add or remove", hence they have become the executive, their job is only to approve or disapprove as the case may be. Adding and removing makes them the one executing which is not their function. If they don't agree with anything in the budget or want anything remove, they are to let the executive know by not approving it, after which they meet with the executive to reach a mutual agreement for the budget to be approved (or passed) and then comes the signing by the president. Get your facts right bro and stop misleading people please.

He gave a tithe of what he recovered from all that was taken from Lot and those that were taken captive, not from what he owned, to Melchizedek. But that does not chanhe the fact that tithes are meant for levites (priestly lineage because they have no property/inheritance), you and your family, fatherless (orphans) and widows. Pastors don't fall in that category because all of them have properties and leave inheritance for their children nowadays.

To follow the new testament, there is nothing called tithe. What we have is donations from everyone, which is shared equally among everyone so thatthat everyone has all things in common. See Acts of the Apostles.

I totally agree with your statements, but I would Like to add to two of them.
Firstly, you have rightly pointed out that church wedding is not biblical, and while I agree let me ask. After marrying traditionally (the true marriage) is it wrong to go before God, in the church with fellow brothers and sisters in christ to get wedded if only for ceremonial purposes??

Secondly, I have always known that Christmas( dec 25th) is not the true birth date of christ and has pagan origins. However, it has not stopped me from celebrating xmas. It is a special holiday that I try to enjoy especially as I have no business with its origin as long as there are no present pagan practices. Since it isnt biblical it should be left out of the church though and people should just see it as a period to let off steam and be merry. it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

@boldened: It is wrong when it is made compulsory. They go to God's presence wearing white to show they are untouched while in truth, they have been touched. That is called a bold-faced-lie in the presence of God. If they had stopped at traditional (which is the one recognised by God) it would not have been a sin, but going to God's house to lie? Moreover, the so called pastors of today made it compulsory most because of the crowd and the huge offering that will come on the day. Another problem is the fact that they esteem church wedding to the extent that people have to kill to do it because of pride. What I mean is, in a case where a lady got pregnant before marriage, she and her man will have to go and abort the pregnancy since no church will wed a pregnant woman to her man. I am not justfying intimacy before marriage, but I am saying the pride (which goes before a fall) of doing a church wedding will make them ignore God's law (that says thou shall not kill) and go into sin (abortion).

He cannot preach the truth in this regard because that is his primary source of income.

And in addition to the above, tithe is meant for you and your family, fatherless, widows and levites who have no properties and inheritance as it is commanded in Deuteronomy 14:22 to the end of the chapter, not for pastors who have landed properties, cars and even schools.

My wife is always my next of kin because no matter what happens, she's protected by that and she'll definitely protect her (our) children.

If you read it from beginning to the end, you will see that Boko Haram, Alqaeda and such sects are doing what the Quran told them. The Quran is full of bitter and violent words and curses towards non muslims.

And on the Issue of the 3 Daughters of Allah, Mohammed mention them in a deceptive manner to deceive the Quraiysh into accepting Islam later claimed was put in his mouth by Satan when explaining himself to his followers. This verse was removed from the original script of the Quran by his followers and the area that could not be removed was distorted. This verses are referred to as the Satanic Verses.

So you see that there are so many errors in the Quran.
Another is the fact the Mohammed was confusing the Myriam the Sister of Moses to Mary the Mother of Jesus. There is no place in the Bible (even historically) where Mary is synonymous with Mariam. He actually said Mary the mother of Jesus was the sister of Moses. That is to show that his memory of what the Pharisees taught him (Mohammed) was failed him and he mixed so many things up.

I can go on and on, but you can't find the truth from just criticising the Quran, read the Bible on your own too and you will also know the truth.

On the issue of the trinity, God is not 3 and there was no place in the Bible where it is said thus. There is only ONE God called YHWH (pronounced as Yahweh), Jesus Christ who we called His son is an expression of His Love (He made a part of Him to come to the world through a woman, but without any human seed (sperm) to come and show us how to live an acceptable live and also sacrificed Him (Jesus) for our sins. When you here the word Holy Spirit, it is the same God, but this time, in human mind, teaching, guiding and directing him (man). So the remaining 2 are expression of God, not that there are 3 Gods. No, far from it.

God can choose to express Himself as 1, 10, 100, 1000 characters or even to infinity, that shows that he is omnipresent (can be everywhere at the same time doing different things that does not depend on one another), it does not mean He is 2 or 3 or 10, or 1000. He is just God and can do as He pleases.

Think about this and make your decision based on your own research and note that you are responsible for whatever decision your make for yourself, so don't let anybody misguide you and don't be misguided by the exchange of insults which all the guys here are calling advice.

This is true and correct. If we all decided to advocate for a court for each religion in the country and one seek to imposed it's law on the people of the other religion, then where is the democracy in the Nigeria.

Do you all realise that the so-called Sharia was copied from the laws of Moses in the old testament. You all should go and read the Pentateuch (the first 5 books of Moses) thoroughly. Mohammed copied what was in the Bible. There was a time he (Mohammed) went to the Jew, was converted and learned the Laws of Moses and later went and secluded himself in mountain and claimed to have an encounter with an angel who revealed the Quran to him.

He made so many mistake about the history of the Hebrews (like Abraham's story and some other people in the Bible, who he claimed where the prophets of Allah) in the Quran simply because he was not literate and all narrated to his followers was from his memory and we all know that there is limit to what memory can remember when it comes to telling stories. Check the contents of sharia very well, you will know that it was all copied from the Bible.
