Nigeria is already witnessing a lot of releases on tech devices; there have been many leaks on some astonishing tech devices. I see this as a result of the fast approaching Christmas celebration.

TECNO is planning to release a smartphone with a mightier battery than the one seen on its Tecno L6. And with the large fans base of Tecno mobile which now controls 50% of the African mobile market, you can be sure this will sell in droves.

Like Gionee, Tecno wants to do something crazy that will drop the jaw of everyone in the mobile community in the country, while offering same at a sweet price spot. An insider told TechLector that the new device would come with a 5000mAh battery. Elephone has just responded to UMi’s “Smash Elephone P8000” campaign that started a few days back. One of the administrators on the Elephone forums was not happy with people posting videos smashing the P8000 and responded saying “Hey UMI can you f**k off from here Go back to your shitty forum with all your shitty complaits! You are extremely unwelcome from here”.

The company has called the attack as a disgusting move from UMi. In fact, the company has fought back with its own giveaway wherein Elephone has urged its fans to share a post where users are trashing UMi in return for a free Elephone P8000.

Good day gurus. I have 20k and wish to get an android phone. I've searched the internet and finally narrowed my preferred choice to 2 phones: Gionee M3mini (16,500) and Infinix hot 2 (19,500)

Here's the problem:

Supports 4G

INFINIX HOT2
1.3 Ghz quad core & 2gb ram
2200mah battery
Does not support 4G

The problem with the gionee is the RAM!

And the infinix? The battery!

Please which should I go for?

Infinix Mobility starts teasing new device #InfinixBig6 .The No.1 online smartphone brand in Africa made a name for it by creating affordable device with high-end specs at far lower prices than othercompetitors. Latest Xiaomi device – Redmi 2 Pro has bypassed the US FCC (Federal Communication Corporation) certification website. This has made people to come into conclusion that the new Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro sooner than later will launch into the US markets. Though, not every device certified by the FCC website ends up being launched in the US market. But it looks like Xiaomi is considering offering a US version of the Redmi 2 Pro.
The China’s OEM – Xiaomi have been making both the Chinese and Indian markets rock in recent years with recent announcement of over 3 million phone sold in India in less than a year.

According to a source (via Liliputing), the Redmi 2 Pro is powered by MIUI 6 out-of-the-box. However, this might change as Xiaomi has already started pushing out its MIUI 7 to users, so there is probability that the US variants could come updated to the MIUI 7 before hitting the markets.
The handset is designed to sport a 4.7-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution and to run on quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores clocked up to 1.2GHz), packed with Adreno 306 GPU.
