Sincerely O.P, as regards the screen strength, is it a corning gorilla too? What's the picture quality as regards your experience with phone, forget the 13mp on the review. Be real. Am really interested in the phone. Which is better BTW this phone and infinix note 3?
Just like I said in the review, Tecno didn't specify if the display is Corning gorilla protected. In terms of quality of display I think the panel used is of high quality. You won't even know it's a 720p display. Colours aren't washed out and the color reproduction is pretty solid. The camera won't win any awards, its not in the class of the camon CX but you can take pretty good photos with it.

Really, One thing Tecno Mobile has perfected all the years is Publicity. From the Camon C8, to the Camon C9, to the Phantom Series, Tecno Mobile has recorded successes- majorly by 'selling it right' to the people. It's only natural to expect that L9 plus would receive a warm and welcome review from consumers, Afterall, it is a Tecno Mobile device, People love Tecno Mobile.
I agree with this sentiment. But a brand can't rely on good publicity alone, the product has to be quality as well

Can someone help compare and contrast between tecno L9 plus and Infinix Hot 4 pro. I need to purchase one of the two. I'm in a state of dilemma on which to choose. Although my desired features include the following: 4G LTE enabled, Android 7.0 nougat OS, good battery capacity, fingerprint, 5/13MP cam, no less 2GB Ram.
Besides the 4G LTE, the L9plus ticks all your boxes.

Am quite sure it has HiOs, I've had a chance to use one too but briefly.
The plastic-like alloys are just not the same thing as the metalic finish, compare that phone to the phantom and you will feel the difference. Or maybe get the black or blue colour variants of the L9+ and you will realise what I'm saying.
I can tell a plastic from a metal when I see/feel one.

The phantom 6 is plastic, phantom 6+ is metal. L8plus is plastic, L9plus.... Check this image.

bro don't try to confuse me. We were talking about L9+ not camon cx
Lol....different phones same argument. You said L9plus's body is not metal but alloy and I told you Alloys contain metal properties and most people consider it metal. That image was for reference purpose grin
PhonesRe: Tecno L9 Plus Unboxing, Hands On And First Impression by Techm8(op): 6:37pm On Mar 23, 2017
Norman4real:
Allow me to correct you, that's not real metal, its just a kind of alloy that gives metallic appearance just like the L8 was. And also that is not stock android, thats HiOS v2. It's an upgrade of the first HiOs so it looks different, but u can see the Hi-manager on the front screen.
This is from the Canon CX launch.
Look at that image closely and tell me what's written there.
Full metal build.
Aluminum Alloy.

1: Bar the Hi manager nothing in the Rom suggests its HIOS. All the usual HIOS apps are missing. This looks and feels like stock Android.
2: Alloys contain metallic elements so what are you saying?

Device looks nice. Great design too. Seems Tecno got this one right and the 5000mah is a good deal, Android 7.0? Superb!
Been using it heavily since the unboxing yesterday and I still got 57% juice left. Don't get me started on the Nougat. The split screen feature is badass on a 6inch device

PhonesRe: Is Battery Life The Only Spec That Matters? by Techm8: 1:02pm On Mar 10, 2017
Behankey:
Well, interests differs though but as for me, I'll favour a device like with a long lasting battery life over another that has a lesser battery life. As a heavy user and as I'm always on the road, charging of phones isn't always easy to do. Plus the camera to me is a secondary feature and 13mp is good enough. So it's a long lasting battery life for me.
i totally agree. Camera is secondary in my case too and 13mp Ian too shabby as well. I need my smartphone to always have juice.
PhonesRe: Does Battery Capacity Determine The Weight Of A Phone? by Techm8: 12:55pm On Mar 10, 2017
funmyade:
Does that mean that even with a 10kmAh battery capcity, this can be achieved too?
slimness? probably. But expect a significant increase in weight and maybe height and width too.
PhonesRe: Does Battery Capacity Determine The Weight Of A Phone? by Techm8: 12:10pm On Mar 10, 2017
To achieve that slimness they make use of lithium batteries, such as Lithium Polymer (Li-Poly) and Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries. Li-Poly batteries in particular tend to be really slim and lightweight and these batteries are not enclosed in metal and so can be made to fit the sleekest and smallest phones.
