A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “Yes.” “Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things – your family, your partner, your health, your children – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter – like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else. The small stuff.” “If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal. Take care of the rocks first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand |

This is just to sad and heart breaking….! In a recent development, four men suspected to be agents of the Boko Haram sect have shot dead a member of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and three members of his family in Kano. They killed the officer, his wife, his three year old daughter and his crippled brother staying with him, police sources told a news agency today. The victims were all locked up in a room and shot dead in the home of the yet to be identified NSCDC officer in Hotoron Gabas district. Neighbours said they saw the four men arriving on two motor cycles and entering the house. After the killing, they jumped back on their bikes and sped off. Kano, since the 20 January multiple attacks by the Boko Haram sect, has been experiencing isolated attacks by militants of the sect, such as throwing bombs at police patrol vehicles or check points or killing people at their homes or on the street. In June, an SSS officer was shot dead by the sect in his house. What everybody has now, is God for protection!

This Update on the murder of Wunmi Adebayo, a Tai Solarin Student will shock you, and it should serve as a lesson to Ladies who run after big boys without knowing the source of their income. Peradventure you haven’t heard about the death of Wunmi Adebayo then, do so ON BIZZARE NEWS . It was reported that Wunmi was killed few days ago by armed robbers at her boyfriend’s apartment in Ijebu Ode. Well, there is a new development in the story now, as her boyfriend has confessed to the Police that he killed Wunmi. He just didn’t confess, but a source said Wunmi’s parents didn’t believe his story that she was shot by armed robbers, so they had to invoke her spirit (a common practice in many parts of Nigeria, particularly where the circumstances surrounding the death of a person is suspicious. When this is done, the killer is tormented by the spirit of the deceased until he or she confesses.)After being continuously tormented, the alledged boyfriend is said to have confessed to the murder this morning. According to the confession of the robber, Wunmi came to his house unannounced and just barged in. When she entered, she met him and his friends drinking and making merry with guns on the table. On seeing this, Wunmi was shocked, scared and tried to run, but was caught. She was then forced at gun point to go back inside by the guy and his friends. On getting back inside the house, they beat her, raped her, then shot her in other to cover their dark secret. The boyfriend, then shot himself as well, in other to set an alibi for him self and build the “robbery story” which is currently been circulated today. Since Wunmi is no more to tell her story, he thought he would have easily gotten away with the murder, and no one will discover the true nature of what really happened. This is the new turn of events in Wunmi Adebayo’s story and From all indication, Wunmi was indeed a victim of circumstance. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

BBDelta: The issue of Young Men struggling to build houses these days, still dey wonder me oh. This is just some crazy societal influence. A Residential house is not an investment and cannot give you any kind of security even in terms of accomodation, you will only end up putting your self in a regional boundage and would limit your chances of exploring for greater feats in life because you must stay in that particular region. Now the influence of having my own house as a young man about to get married or just married and within the next ten years who have only about 2 or 3 children, is basically generated from the ill treatment of Landlords towards their tenants ( and fear of not having money for accomodation), if not. If I am renting a 3 bedroom flat from a responsible firm with good standards of tenancy agreement where no sentiments of landlard and it's excess is a question, Then for 300 - 400 thousand a year, Would mean I can stay in the apartment for 10 years for just 3 - 4 million naira. Instead of investing a whooping some of minimum 15 million naira to build a 3 bedroom bungalow. Why not expand your business frontiers and develop your self with the 11 - 12 million and secure your financial inflow. Well my own perspective. My brother i dnt totally agree with u,a house u build today with 15mil wuldnt be worth 15mil 2mao,it wuld be almost double the price. |
