While Samsung’s sales report for 2015 looked promising, everything may not seem all gratifying for the company as reports has it that Samsung plans to lay off executives soon in other to cut cost. More so, reports released earlier before now has it that Samsung is expected to order less high-end smartphones and tablet components in the first quarter of 2016 and now, The Korea Herald posted information showing how salaries of Samsung Electronics three co-CEOs have dropped this year compared to last year been 2014. Vice Chairman Oh-Hyun kwon, who is the highest paid CEO, over the first nine months of 2015 (January to September), received a salary of $3.25 million including $1.9 million in bonus. That’s down from $5.3 million received within same period last year. Boo-Keun Yoon, who is the CEO of the consumer electronics business division, received $2 million, down from $3 million last year. Jong-Kyun shin, who is the Mobile business CEO, had a salary decrease from $10.2 million to $1.95 million. Apparently, he received the biggest blow compared to other CEOs who also suffered a decrease in salary. You may be wondering why there is a drop in the co-CEOs salaries owing to the fact that Samsung did better in terms of sales this year compared to last year sales. Well, Samsung haven’t officially given any statement regarding this and probably won’t. However, reports has it that there was a huge cut off on bonuses and incentives which lead to the 30% – 80% drop in salaries. Anyway, it’s almost the end of 2015 and we’d be eager to seeing more reports on how many smartphones were sold in 2015 and most importantly, how much money the company made this time. Over the past few weeks, we have seen leaks upon leaks in regards the specifications, features and images of the infinix big 6 smartphone. There has been news flying all over the internet stating that the infinix big 6 is waterproofed alongside a whole lot of others. Earlier today, we were able to get confirmed information from an insider in regards the specifications of the upcoming infinix BIG 6 smartphone. Although the insider declined giving complete specification of the device, he left us on the vital specs needed as well as more information in regards the device. First and foremost, it has been confirmed that the infinix Big 6 will be called Infinix Note 2 and not the infinix hot note 2 we thought it would be referred to. Secondly, there has been news stating that the infinix big 6 is waterproofed. NO, it’s not. The infinix Note 2 isn’t waterproofed. There’s also been reports that the smartphone packs a 4040mAh battery capacity but No, It’s actually 4000mAh same as the battery capacity packed in the infinix hot note x551 smartphone. Based on camera, the device sports a 13 megapixels back camera and a 2 megapixels front camera. While 2 megapixels is quite small in this present era, infinix mobility says it is able to capture awesome pictures as a result of the sensor being used and yes, megapixels isn’t the basic criteria to getting awesome camera shots. The infinix Big 6 also known as Note 2 will be available in two variants; One with 4G LTE connectivity and the other without. The handset will pack 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded using MicroSD card up to 32GB. No confirmed information was given in regards the processor it will be running on and we wouldn’t want to speculate for now owing to the fact that this post is all about the confirmed specs and information of the device. The infinix big 6 will officially be launched on the 27th of this month being November and as usual, we will be reviewing the device when it is officially launched. Latest report has it that Samsung is planning on laying off a huge number of staffs. This isn’t the first time such report will be over the internet. The most recent was in September of which Samsung actually denied. Apparently, another report is out stating that the south Korean company will likely be laying off 1000 staffs off their duties in China. The report is even more specific as it states that the managerial-level workers and executives in China currently have their jobs at stalk. According to the report, an official said that Samsung’s top priority is to save cost (could there be any other reason?). Average workers with mediocre performance are advised to leave the company with a sizable compensation. It was furthermore revealed that job cuts will happen in countries where the company has manufacturing units, and respective HR teams have been asked to persuade employees in question to join the “voluntary retirement system”. Underperformers and managers aged over 50 and officials who failed to be promoted to a higher level are the targets for the voluntary retirement program by Samsung C&T. The report also said that the layoffs are expected to result in Samsung Electronics with around 30% of its workforce in finance, human resources and marketing divisions. Samsung Group will announce its year-end reshuffle of top and middle level executives in the first week of December. It is expected that many division heads will be replaced by younger people as a power shift is underway inside the conglomerate led by Samsung Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong. Let me ask, what’s your definition of expensive? $100,000? $200,000? Or even $1,000,000? Well, the most expensive iPhone 6 costs more than that. NO, Apple isn’t actually responsible for the high amount placed on the most expensive iPhone 6. Instead, Goldgenie are. Goldgenie also known as , are England’s talented masters of making already expensive smartphones over three times as premium by enriching them with precious metals and jewelry. No, these expensive phones are not sold to the average consumer. They are basically sold to people who crave for materials not so common. People like Usian Bolt, David Beckham, P.Diddy and the likes are the major consumers. The most expensive iPhone is made of 24-carat gold and encrusted with dozens of diamonds and guess how much it cost – $3.51 million. Based on the price tag attached to the device, the ‘diamond ecstasy’ iPhone 6 can be customized further to meet up with the clients demand but of course, further customization attracts more price added to the initial amount. There are other variants like the gold, platinum and Rose-Gold which comes as a color variant on the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The closely related most expensive iPhone 6 is one designed by Alexander Amosu which is covered with about 6127 diamonds and was priced around $2.62 million. That’s nearly a million dollar lesser than what the most expensive iPhone 6 cost. Source : http://www.techsng.com/2015/10/see-how-much-the-most-expensive-iphone-6-costs.html CC: Lalasticlala

For some couple of weeks now, we have constantly been fed with news relating to the latest android operating system which is the 6.0 marshmallow. While LG has said the LG L4 will be getting the new update by next week thereby making the device the first device to get the marshmallow update outside the nexus family, Infinix in a press release we sorta shared yesterday, said the infinix hot 2 x510 phone will be getting the marshmallow upgrade before the end of the month. An excerpt from the press release reads thus: Software speaking, HOT 2 is coming with the latest operating system in the market, Android Lollipop 5.1. As technology is moving fast, Infinix is following. The smartphone also manages your power and data usage. The device will receive an automatic and free update of Android Marshmallow 6.0 this monthWhile it’s not totally impossible for an android One phone in Africa to get the new marshmallow upgrade so soon owing to the fact that some android one phones in Bangladash and India has been reported to have received the new 6.0 marshmallow upgrade via OTA, you may want to take this news with a pinch of salt. The reason for this is because although infinix promised some phones will be getting the android 5.1 lollipop in August, public betas were released sometime in July and beta updates in August with final versions for some specified models released in September. Since the infinix hot 2 is an android one smartphone and Google promised 2 years of free upgrade on the device, update should be rolled out via Over The Air (OTA) and not having to flash like in the case android 5.1 lollipop on other few infinix devices. frediech:Honestly, i haven't really experienced that on the device. However, if at any point you encounter such issue, you can press and hold the power button till it restarts. Most devices with non-removable batteries has a hard restart process. For an iPhone, the power button and home button held together does the magic. Hope you grab? |
