Officialdokkey:Doesn't come with the pack. Am guessing it will be sold separately. However, those who pre-ordered / pre-order the camon c9, will get the T-band for free. At least, that's what tecno says. |
majorclems:It's an ejector pin. Basically needed when trying to bring out a SIM or SD card tray. The ejector pin, however, wasn't necessary on the Camon C9 as you probably can deduce from the uploaded images. |
Ezeego1:Not sure a price has been stated yet. However, speculations has it that price is within 45-5k. |
Naijji:MediaTek MT6753. Octa-core processor. |

JOAN11:OK. In Nigerian terms, normal text messages will be charged via your account balance while other kind of contents like GIFs (Picture animations), Voice and videos will be charged from your data. Capish? |
JOAN11:Standard texts will be charged from your account balance. Other rich content like GIFs, Voice and video content will be charged using your data via the messenger app. |
This isn’t the first time Facebook is introducing SMS feature to its messenger app for Android users. It was initially in existence until around 2012 when it was removed by Facebook. Now, Facebook is bringing back the SMS feature for Android users on the messenger platform. Basically, what the SMS feature does is, users can choose the messenger app as their preferred SMS app. I.e, users will be able to send and receive standard texts, images, videos and audio. Including rich contents such as stickers and emojis. Other form of content like GIFs, video and calls etc would have to be communicated using the messenger instead. Facebook assures you that your privacy is safe as it doesn’t send, upload or store any of your conversations on its servers as all messages are sent and received via standard SMS protocol and not cellular data. If you’d like to use the messenger app as your default SMS app on Android, simply make sure you are running the latest version of messenger. Thereafter, launch the app and tap on settings > select SMS and turn it on as the default SMS app. Source: http://www.techsng.com/2016/06/facebook-re-introduces-sms-feature-messenger-android.html

The competition in the telecommunication companies operating in Nigeria is getting tougher and like the saying goes, ‘when the going gets tough, the tough gets going’. MTN, over the last few weeks, has launched quite a number of surprises. Surprises that to an extent, got some of us asking, ‘what is MTN up to?’. Cost of data plans were immensely reduced. This sorta gave a wakening call to Etisalat who recently reduced it’s 1.5GB data plan and 3.5GB data plan to N1000 and N2000 respectively. When Airtel did a video advertising the ‘Welcome To Airtel’ plan, it seemed as though the company was hitting on MTN. And apparently, a response has been brought to the table. The video features Falz (with his crazy accent), Tekno, Skales and others who I can’t currently identify. You can watch the video below and like I said, it’d give you goose-bumbs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQykKtRDK2g Source: http://www.techsng.com/2016/05/new-mtn-pulse-video-advert-will-give-goose-bumps.html

Freda16:Someone is really vexed lol. It's just humor. Life is too short to take everything serious ma'am. |
No wonder TJ was always going there twice a week despite complaining of no money and not being able to provide common milk for his baby. |
Goodyness:Are you contradicting? Please go through what you just wrote and see if you have any corrections to make. Thank you. |
RichYoungNigger:Can you provide a proof? If not, Gererehere mehn, in Igbo, ...... |

WhatsApp recently turned on the end-to-end encryption technology on it's messaging platform and that was like the biggest news from the messaging app this year (Well, apart from other interesting features being added to the platform). I mean, almost everyone talked about how secured WhatsApp now operates. It felt really welcoming. WhatsApp also added that no one can actually read your messages except you and the recipients. Not hackers, not cyber-criminals, oppressive regimes, not even WhatsApp itself. That feeling really felt right. Especially to our ladies who always felt someone could monitor their WhatsApp messages without them knowing. Just for the records, those statements by WhatsApp ain't completely true. I mean, while cyber criminals, WhatsApp, oppressive regimes, hackers may not be able to read your WhatsApp messages, sent pictures and sorts, anyone who's held your phone and accessed your WhatsApp for a few minutes can actually read your WhatsApp conversations when he/she isn't with the phone (i.e if they want to and they know how to). How? Say Hello to WhatsApp web feature. While WhatsApp web feature is an awesome feature as it allows me reply my WhatsApp messages straight from my computer, it is WhatsApp biggest flaw in terms of privacy. https://www.techsng.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/whatsapp-isnt-so-secured.png If I gain access to your phone and accessed your WhatsApp and I hope to continue reading your WhatsApp messages even when you are not close to me, it's very possible. As indicated in the screenshot above, I can read and reply my WhatsApp messages while on my laptop. I can certainly do same for your WhatsApp messages especially if you are a female and have no idea about this tech buhaha. Nope, it won't be required of me to enter any password whenever I want to continue reading your messages right from my computer as long as your phone and my computer has both got internet connection. So you see, even with the end-to-end encryption feature being put in place, the way the WhatsApp web feature operates, hasn't been changed. Hence, WhatsApp isn't so secured after all. BBM has got similar feature known as BBM Blend. However, it is more secured as no one can read or continue reading your BBM messages without knowing the password to your phone. More reason why I recently said, BBM is more secured than WhatsApp. |

Aubrey1:The hot 2 and hot 3 batteries are actually removable. |
Infinix, yesterday the 4th of April, 2016, Launched the infinix Hot 3 x554 android phone to the Nigerian market. The phone which is seen as an upgrade to the first android one smartphone in Africa - infinix hot 2, was launched in Indonesia and Kenya last month. You may have known of the specs of the phone so i wouldn't want to bore you with that. Instead, i am looking at the price. The infinix hot 3 was launched with a price tag of N26,500 in Nigeria. While the price tag seem very affordable, something isn't just right. Elly, few days back, gave us a hint via comment stating that the hot 3 has been launched in Kenya with a price tag of $75 (75USD). https://www.techsng.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/infinix-hot-3-price-in-kenya.png I also did some little research and stumbled on a kenya website currently selling the hot 3 x554 smartphone for KSH 7,899. Since i don't know the current exchange rate, i decided to consult Google and Google said Kenyan Shilling 7,899 equals to N15,507.79 in Nigerian Naira. https://www.techsng.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/price-of-infinix-hot-3-in-kenya-revealed.png https://www.techsng.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/finding-out-kenya-shilling-to-Naira-rate.png Okay, i do understand that the exchange rate provided by Google may not be accurate and dollar rate affects the price but then, let's do some very simple mathematics going by what Elly said. As at yesterday the 4th of April, 2016, i made a purchase online and my bank charged me N305 to a dollar (that rate hasn't changed in weeks if not months now). Some banks in Nigeria charge even less. Now, N305 x 75 = N22,875. If we want to go further by using the black market dollar exchange rate, N320 x 75 = N24,000. The difference may be very little but i don't think it's fair. So my question is, why the difference in price? Are we being cheated? Source: http://www.techsng.com/2016/04/infinix-hot-3-x554-launched-nigeria-no-price-isnt-right.html

Bonnywest:Have you been reading through the comments? |
Bonnywest:I don't get it. Did I lie when I said I used my right hand or what? What's ur point? |
jeytee:You sound very much like you understand pictures and photography. Spot ON Pal! |
lestat:Biased? Did you read the beginning of the post or you just rushed to the pictures? If you didn't, please do and hopefully, you'd realize why I took my time in putting this up. Thank you. |
Lordaweezy:Paid to promote the iPhone 6 or paid to promote the tecno camon C8? Have I at any point, stated which phone's camera won? ****modified**** (2:31pm - 2nd of April, 2016) After reading through lots of comments, here's what I have to say. First, I am NOT paid for this. By Tecno, Apple or anyone. I took my time in putting this up after my own passion and not because anyone asked me to. Secondly, while 70% thinks the C8 did better, the iPhone 6 actually did better. For those who understands pictures and photography, you would realize Tecno tweaked the explosure, contrast, saturation and even added some beautification mechanism to the C8. The iPhone 6 on the older hand, gives you the true image. While the picture 1 was shot under low light, the iPhone 6 didn't perform well in that regards. The granites weren't as shinny as the C8 portrayed it. The flowers were taken under serious sun condition, the C8 sorta transformed it and made it look much nicer, the iPhone 6 gave what it really looked like under the sunny condition. In the front camera contest, the iPhone 6 beats the C8 hands down! Another thing I should point out here is this, when viewing the Tecno Camon C8 images on the C8 phone, they don't look as nice as they are in the pictures above. I am guessing it's as a result of the C8 display resolution. For those saying I am a paid agent, I laugh! I actually wish that was true though. At least, it'd make out for the time spent in walking through the streets and taking this shots. But then, how much would a brand pay me to say things that ain't true? ***just thinking*** |
