juliusocean: Bro how is the family .. I trust you all doing good.. I have some questions please pardon me. B4 applying 4 brazil did you and ur wife have travel history or just you? I have been to ghana and dubai is that enough? Can my travel history cover for my wife as she has never traveled out b4? sammysneh: @techspot i know youre busy pls reply this post i was gonna ask this same question.. We've both been to Dubai, she's personally traveled to Benin Republic, Togo and Kenya while I've traveled alone to S.A. and Ethiopia. Yes, travel history to Ghana and Dubai is ok but I can't assure you cos I don't know what was considered in my case. I was the primary applicant but we submitted my wife's travel history and her financial state. |

babakb: All onsite courses are about 2000 USD everywhere because they are better than the online courses.
Employers prefer the onsite courses because you will undergo 20 hours of teaching practice.
The TEFL body only assist the onsite graduates with worldwide job search, set up interviews for you etc, online graduates don't have these privileges.
Is better you look for money to do the onsite course. Ok. Thanks |

Torie8: I really don't know cos he never told me till he got to Brazil. Oh ok! That means he's on a mission and he's only resting in Brazil to continue the second leg of his adventure. Most Africans travel by road to the USA/Canada thru Brazil. Pray for him and also advice him cos that Derien Gap is a very deadly jungle. |

RaptorX: Brazil is a third world shithole and blacks there are treated worse than animals. You Nigerians are crazy with this I must travel abroad by force mentality. Have you ever been to Brazil? What's your own experience to draw this conclusion? How would you compare Brazil with Nigeria if you're ever reside there? |

babakb: Hmmm, the online option has very limited opportunities, only English native speakers enjoy the online option. I suggest you go for onsite course in Sau Paolo or Rio de jenerio, it's a 6 weeks course so 3 months tourist Visa will cover for that, and they will also introduce you to basics of Portuguese to aid communication in the Classroom.
Budget a minimum of 4000 USD for everything, (Visa, Flight, Tuition, Accommodation, Feeding etc).
Google TEFL courses in Brazil for further information. The cost of TEFL in Sao Paulo is as high as $2,000. I was surprised by this cost cos I saw it costing between $250-$600 for online courses. I want to know if you know any relatively price center in SP. I'm already in SP, Brazil |

This is why I said ur story is similar to mine. Sold my house too for N2m.
But immediately bought another land and did a room. Used the rest to start a very sure banker business I've been researching for a while(a cab business, getting around 10k daily, just ensured I bought a cheap toks) and planning to try another biz I've been researching for a while now.
I pray u make a breakthrough later cos I see a strong desire to succeed in u. Just keep trying. I won't mind doing this biz too. Can you give me more info? Sent you a pm |

Samuelsoma: Hey Techspot, just like Adjo10 have mentioned, you can still go ahead without the Carteira de identidade and make use of the Certidao de Nascimento (Birth certificate) . However, it sometimes depends on the discretion of the officer that is attending to you at Policia Federal, some officers may ask for it and you might be lucky to meet the ones that would not ask for it. In my case, I collected the Carteira de identidade for my son before proceeding to apply for the passport and when i got to the point of application, the officer attending to me asked for it and I have also seen some persons too that did not collect the IDcard before proceeding to apply for their child's passport and they were granted with just the birth certificate. So that is why I said it sometimes depends on the officer that attends to you, they just use their discretion. But you can try and proceed and apply for the passport with the birth certificate that you have, hopefully it should be granted.
Moreover, I will still suggest that even after you have gotten the passport, you can still apply for the IDcard, cos with just the IDcard, Brazilians can enter the Mercosur countries without having to present their passports at the point of entry. So that saves you the stress of carrying your Brazilian passport around.
Big congratulations on the birth of your baby, its a win-win for you and your family. Cheers bro Thanks for your contribution. I will go to the PF office and give feedback |

Adjo10: Hey TechSpot. I understand and the link is right and an official source. However keep in that the link is talking about family resident permit in general which can be a Brazilian inviting a spouse, spouse’s parents etc etc. Some things don’t apply to you.
Secondly, the place you highlighted states “identification document” and not ID card. The 2 are different. Your baby’s passport or birth certificate is an identification document. In fact the 2 i just stated hold more value than the National ID card.
That brings me to my earlier comment... in short, you don’t need the id card but if you are not comfortable just go for it. It is better to have more documents.
Try downloading the passport application form or the PR application form. It will give an idea of the documents you need or just walk into a Polícia Federal and ask for the list of documents.
Cheers Ok, I will do that. Thank you |

Adjo10: Ok. You don’t need the Carteira de identidade for the baby. You can apply for the passport without it. My child never had and does not have it and has a passport. The identity Card is something only used within Brazil as a form of identity if you don’t want to carry your passport all the time. Your baby’s birth certificate has every single information you need to fill the passport application form. In fact, the ID card info is not required during filling the passport application form. Your baby’s birth certificate is her ID, proof of citizenship and citizenship certificate. (That is why it is called citizenship by birth).
If you have time then do it but to the best of my knowledge it has nothing to do with the baby’s passport application nor your PR application. Please however cross check with your Policia Federal. Cheers Thanks for the reply but I saw on the site requirement that identification document is required. See the content in the orange box on the image below. I kindly hope you understand. Congrats once again on the birth of your baby. Thanks Thank you. I have not been able to proceed with my baby's RG registration cos the Poupatempo's office is closed till April 30th due to the Covid 19 so I wanted to share my update with you. Is there any other way to go about it? |

Mo2n: Good day elders in the house,
I am new on this thread, please I need a clarification! I am pregnant and I wish to birth my Child In Brazil.
I intend to apply for Visa after this whole pendamic has gone down.
I want to know the type of visa to apply for. If it’s Tourist or on medical ground.
Also I heard tourists visa for female requires pregnancy test now! Please how true is this?? Has anyone gotten her visa recently?? Pls attest to this.
I also want to know the minimum amount one need to have in the account bfor applying!
I would be grateful for prompt response!
Many thanks All the information you need to apply for the Visa is on this thread. I just finished reading the thread from Page 1 cos my Baby girl arrived so I needed to refresh on the necessary documentation information here. It took me a day+ to do that, I advice you do too. Let me give you a breakdown of living cost/ "getting yourselves to Brazil" cost cos that seems to be the only part of your question the thread does not seem to contain: Visa Application cost: = 36,000NGN Cheapest Flight to GRU, Sao Paulo: = 385,000NGN, about 450,000NGN to GIG, RJ. Modest apartment in Sao Paulo with Bills (water, gas, electricity, cable/wifi): = 120,000NGN / month Feeding: 50,000NGN per person per month. Transportation Bus/Metro/Uber 50,000NGN/month *NGN (Nigerian Naira) The breakdown is just to give you an idea of what it cost to get to Brazil and to keep yourself sane. So make sure you have a good bank balance to show you can actually get to Brazil, survive the number of days you applied for comfortably, return home and your 'short' vacation wont dent your bank balance. @adjo10... Kindly pick my PM call |

1blessing: Sorry for long post. I was banned for 10years, never tot of getting UK visa, though I visited other countries within those years. Few yrs after ban expired I gave a trial to apply, I had completed the application thinking I was perfect, fortunately I bumped into this thread and realising my errors which I adjusted after payment hitch. I took few days reading all the pages and learnt alot. I did self service. I was denied based on several reasons, I was furious and felt not destined to enter UK. One of the wkends i picked all d reasons for denial and countered all. Guess what, I was denied again based on 4 other reasons. I felt even if dey no wan gv visa, I must prove myself right. I highlighted their points, illustrated on all my evidences with pen and sent since I am legit. They did their verification contacting bank etc and visa overturned. Passport submitted and took 17days to call for pick up which shouldn't have taken max 5days.God's time is d best. Joining this forum is a great privilege, it has given hopes, saved money and lifetime opportunities. I appreciate everyone that contributed to my enquiries positively, @seeyat,one of the selfless, humble and patient soul I ever met, @techspot thx a bunch, @suuz,I appreciate you sis, @giselle such a nice soul. Gracedom: Oh imagine, and I stressed notarising form. Pls how much did you pay for the minor? Is it same 36k cos I know some countries like Italy usually give a reduced cost (Child is below 1year o). Pls respond as I intend paying on Monday.
Surprisingly the Stanbic Bank hubby went to in Apapa don’t know they are the recipient for Brazilian visa fee so I guess, the guy was even requesting to see where their bank was mentioned.
I’ll guess i’ll just go to any VI branch and make my payment You can pay at any Stanbic branch just copy the Brazilian embassy Stanbic account details on their website then tell the teller to write your name in full on the deposit slip. Attach the slip with the docs you will be submitting at the embassy. |

Bodun4seun: Good morning sirs and mas, I want to sincerely appreciate the effort of everyone contributing to this thread don't want to start mentioning names but my prayers is that God Almighty will raise helpers for you where you least expected. I've been a silent follower of this thread for a while now and have read all the pages......My question is My passport bears my husbands name and my Account still bears my father's name and doing a change of name in bank now will of course affect my monthly stipends......dont know if this could be a problem.
I want to start the application next week I'm kind of confused. Please help my cofusion.
Thanks I expect you to have some documents which you can submit that still shows your maiden name aside your bank account like your marriage certificate, payslip, letter of employment, business registration, driver's license, etc. Add such document with your application then in your introduction letter you should explain why the name on your bank statement differs from that on your passport. |

AyaFany: Hello to all the experienced applicants on this great platform (Adjo10, Chriscole,Techspot etc)
Please is it possible we apply for tourism as a family (hubby, wife and child) online and only my hubby goes to the embassy to submit our application? Or do we all have to go together? Go with your husband to submit your application, let them see you... The application processing starts form the point of collection as they will minute what they see on the application and that's what will determine how your application processing goes. |
