Be very careful when you are buying a service online in Nigeria. The Internet is not a safe playground. This blog tells you how to identify scammers. I suggest you read and share because it can save someone http://eloquentseo..com/2012/07/ways-to-identify-online-scammers.html |
Let's face it: The new media is influencing peoples perception and decisions in mega dimension. Last time, UNILAG was ranked top of all Nigerian universities from an online research. Bottom line is the internet has come to take over;so don't just use this powerful platform to socialize, put your business on it and watch your ROI skyrocket. How about that? Get weekly BB ping-tip on how to do this. connect: 2937756e |
Whether you like it or not, the internet is shaping peoples perception in this Information Age. It was announced on CNN last week that Obama's campaign team have developed a facebook application that will be used in the 2012 election to target individuals and mobilize them in a manner that will be the first of its kind in history: http://m.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/feb/17/obama-digital-data-machine-facebook-election?cat=world&type=article What this implies is that if your business has no significant online presence, it will become obsolete in few years to come. Having a website is one thing-all the universities do but driving traffic is the yardstick. If your website is not attracting enough attention, it is as good as not having one |
Thanks guys, I finally got Airtel and they say its because I'm using a BB. So whether I am deactivated or not the bla bla bla. So they showed me how to remove the data service. |
I have made another interesting discovery in my research that shd make us apologize to Mukina. I read the interview Seun granted to CPA Africa last year about NL and it was only Mukina's name that was mentioned. She played a major role for the continues success of NL. According to Seun I remember when I locked all Nairalanders out of the forum during a public holiday because I couldn’t keep up with spammers anymore. I was spending several hours every day just deleting spam and I was tired. Mukina2, a famous Nairalander, volunteered to help by moderating and recruiting other volunteer moderators. I am surprised dt Seun is not paying these moderators. Haba, Uncle Seun. At least na. Edo man say na at all at all na I'm bad pass. But I also want Mukina to consider what Seun answered when asked this question What do you think has set Nairaland apart from other Nigerian online forums over the years? Now hear his answer( emphasis mine) Compared to Nigerian forums that preceded Nairaland: local point of view, better organization, more serious topics, and guest-friendlinessIf NL must last, let reconsider. See the link to the interview: https://www.nairaland.com/625594/cpafrica.coms-interview-seun-osewa-founder |
I just went to one of Seun's topic where he was outlining guidelines to posting on NL. Check it out at https://www.nairaland.com/6/nairaland-forum-participation-guidelines when someone tried to compare NL wt another forum, hear what Seun said. I have highlighted some for emphasis I imagine that Nairaland is a different kind of forum:So those of you who say everybody is not serious and their interest shd be considered in the front page should hear it from Seun himself. I also agree wt the suggestion that other moderators should send their trending topics and not be colonized by one person |
This thread is interesting and I suggest Seun shd brain storm wt stakeholders to agree on topics that shd make it to the home page. For the sake of business. It may have been presented and discussed comicaly but its realy not funny. I am alwayz shocked when I see topics that come to the front. The front page represents NL as a brand, what u say there matters people may not open the thread to know wether its a joke and leave wt the wrong info. I once saw one that talked about Obama featuring in a Yoruba Movie. If I didn't open it, I wldve spread the wrong info. But if I had found that topic in d jokes section, for sure I know what's to expect Many people are loosing on NL coming to open so many threads not worth their time. Mukina is doing a good job anyway for her gender. Now I know she is a lady, I can now understand. |

It is not a trick per se. There are many ethical ways to drive traffic to your websites and ultimately to your business. These methods include: SEO: SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. When your website is optimized, it increases its ranking with search engines such as google. This implies that when a potential customer/client searches for any service or products your company offers, your website appears at the first page of the search result. This is important for business and traffic since researches show that searchers rarely go beyond the first page of the search result. As an example, google 'carports in Nigeria'and you will find Aufmevic Nigeria Ltd filling the entire first page because their services and products were optimised by a professional company-Eloquent Touch Media. SMM: This stands for Social Media Marketing and it is the art of promoting your business using social media networkd like facebook, twitter Linkedin, etc, Other Ways of increasing traffic to your website include Email Marketing Pay Per Click Advertising Bulk SMS Marketinh Etc |
