It is very easy to "talk the talk" and not "walk the talk" especially in this part of the world and to be specific, in Nigeria. We always talk about Agro business and we do little or no impart to develop the sector and most of our Agro food and production are still done in the olden ways (akaic ways).

When are we going to mechanize our farming? I have seen many places and people that produces this palm oil and what my eye saw is a sight that is not pleasant to see. So palm oil is still produced like in the olden days. I don't even want to talk about how some other things are being produced but palm oil? That we consume everyday?

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday, May 20, announced that the Federal University, Oye Ekiti has been named after late Major General Adeyinka Adebayo.

The university is now Adeyinka Adebayo University, Oye Ekiti.

Osinbajo made this known at the funeral of the former Governor of Old Western State currently holding at Iyin Ekiti, the country home of the General.

Dignitaries at the occasion include Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose: Secretary, Yoruba Council of Elders, Dr Kunle Olajide: former Registrar of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Chief Olu Ajayi: President of Ekitiparapo in Lagos, Chief Esan Ogunleye: former House of Representatives member, Hon Opeyemi Bamidele and and National Assembly member Hon Akin Awodumila among others.

The rites of passage for the late Adebayo, who died on March 8, in a Lagos hospital at the age of 89, began in Lagos on Wednesday and continued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday before his body was moved to Ekiti State on Friday ahead of burial slated for Iyin Ekiti on Saturday.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state took to his Facebook page to share pictures of himself and his friends as young men growing up in North East Nigeria. He mentioned the friends in the pictures as Saidu Jae, Lawal Inuwa, Saidu Garba and late friends Saleh and Haladu Shehu.

He said the pictures where taken during their teenage years. The governor has blue arrow identifying him in the pictures.
