The police in Osun state have arrested three friends who met at the Ile-Ife prison and after their exit, came together to form an armed robbery gang. The robbers became friends in prison while servicing their jail terms for various offences.


Upon their release, they came together to form a gang that terrorized members of the Ile-Ife community.


According to reports, the robbers were arrested following series of reports of a group of armed robbers who attack Motorcycle owners in the town.


A secret investigation initiated by the Divisional Police Office (DPO) of the A Division, Ile-Ife, CSP Babatunde Sodipo, led to their arrest. The police say they would soon be arraigned in court.

'The brutality of the military and the paramilitary in Nigeria can actually make madmen out of sane people.
The man in this picture got his car impounded by Road safety officials around Mararaba axis of Abuja, for lack of having his complete vehicle particulars. He is said to be a kabu kabu driver who goes by the name John. He usually plies the Mararaba, Abuja axis. Eye witness account says that because he dared to argue with them, the FRSC officials called upon soldiers to help assist them in disciplining the man. Trust our Nigerian soldiers. They beat the man, rolled him in a pool of stagnant water and tore off his clothes, leaving him stark nakd, under the full glare of motorists and passersby. They say he who is down needs fear no fall. Rather than cower in shame, the man caused a major hold up. He blocked the highway in protest amidst cheers from spectators in solidarity with him. With stones in both hands, he dared any motorist to pass. Of course no one wanted a stone to land on their heads or cars, so they kept their distance.
I wonder when our military will learn to start treating civilians as humans and not animals'.

How did the man get the woman's number? From the bank? Secondly the lady had no choice else the police will be at her doorstep. I had an experience. A stressed up bank lady mistakenly credited my money to a young guys account. Immediately he got the alert he rushed to the atm to withdraw the money even though he was not expecting such money. His address was taken from bank records and the bank officials along with police were at his house next day. The parents were shocked at what the boy did but they refused to bring him out claiming he had gone out because they know the implication if he is arrested. They huzzled the money out sharp sharp.

This is the story of a young lady that returned some money that was mistakenly transferred to her account. Her name is Zinny Adajiugo. She was minding her business when she received an sms bank alert. After a while the person called her and was begging her to return the money that he did it in error. She calmed the man down and told him she has a daily limit of 500k a day, so she transferred 500k yesterday and promised to transfer the rest today, and true to type she sent the rest of the money today. She said the reason why she did it was because of the way her mom trained her not to take what belongs to other people.

The Minister of State for Petroluem, Ibe Kachikwu on Monday disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari has been holding meetings with top government functionaries and playing some roles despite being on medical vacation in London.

Featuring on BBC Hard Talk, Kachikwu said Buhari was still capable of issuing policies and approving projects when necessary.


According to Kachikwu, the President’s health makes little or no difference in running his administration.

“Yes, he is in London. He is undergoing hospital treatment, (but) I don’t know the details of that and I obviously wouldn’t know.

“But let me say this, he returned from his first trip in London, even though the doctors advised him to have some rest.


“He’s back to London and he has continued some levels of meetings and has been able to play some roles.

“He has a very efficient Vice-President who is sitting in for him in his absence. It really hasn’t made much of a difference.”

Responding to a question on what is wrong with Buhari, Kachikwu said, “I don’t know. But let’s face it; who in the world goes around giving to everybody what their medical statuses are?



“The doctors have got to be able to release something official and he’s working through it. It has not become a major problem.

“Well, we’ve heard rumours in Nigeria about sick presidents off and on, most of them sometimes not quite correct. Will he be able to lead Nigeria?

“I think looking at the sort of conversations I had with him when he came back, he was strong enough to do his work, struggled a bit in terms of trying to fully recover.

“Nobody plans on illness, it happens. He has an efficient number two man; the system works, that’s the whole essence of democracy.

“He’s on top of his abilities to be able to issue policies and to be able to approve what he needs to be approved.”

This is coming at a time when a British politician and former military officer, Eric Stuart Joyce insisted that Buhari is dead.


Also, Kachikwu had threatened to resign as Minister, should Nigeria continue to import fuel by 2019.

According to the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, these boys (Kidnappers) stormed the popular Lounge 24 Night Club and kidnapped the manager, Chidi Ojukwu aka Odaa Opuo.

Immediately, the ever ready security operatives were alerted and they trailed the kidnap suspects to a lonely area in Urum where they engaged in a shoot our killing two of the suspects while the third ran into the bush seriously injured. And the victim rescued unhurt.

This is the second attempt by these men of the underworld to infiltrate the very fortified security network initiated by Governor Obiano. The two attempts, first being that of Ifeanyichukwu Motors, were unsuccessful leading to death of the suspects.

The police are said to have discovered their arms cache and are on the search to pick the wounded gang member believed to be lying dead somewhere in the bush.

The police has also arrested an Okada man with a locally made pistol who specialized in collecting Ransom for the kidnappers.

Nigerians really have no chill. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike accused his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi of forming a new cult group with the motive of creating security crisis in the state. A Nigerian has reacted to this claim by digging up a photo of the governor's "controversial" handshake with a young man w on stage of an event​ to mark #RiversAt50 Jubilee celebration.

Police in Indianapolis, capital of Indiana in the United States have launched a manhunt for the killer of a Nigerian pastor, Oluwadayomisi Epenusi.

The 66 year old Nigerian was shot to death at the weekend at an apartment complex near 10th Street and I-465 on the city’s west side. Friends and neighbors said Epenusi, had only recently moved to Indiana from Nigeria where he worked as a pastor.

Neighbors say they heard a series of gunshots early Saturday morning. “I heard about 15 gunshots. It was nuts,” said neighbor Kristina Teague

Teague called 911, but by the time police arrived the victim had run back to his apartment and a roommate then drove the bleeding man to Eskenazi Hospital where the 66-year-old died, unable to explain to his roommate what led up to the shooting. “The roommate said when he was on the way he asked him what happened and why he got shot, but the man couldn’t say nothing because he was still in pain,” said Moshood Kafaru.

Kafaru moved to the United States from Nigeria , as did the victim who worked as a pastor. “He was just a nice person who would go to work and come home and go to church. He didn’t talk to nobody. He never bothered nobody,” said Kafaru.

Police don’t know for sure, but Kafaru believes the violence started as a robbery. “He was holding a purse. He refused to let it go. They thought he had money in the purse, but he didn’t want to let it go,” said Kafaru.

A large group of Nigerians live in the apartment complex and those that knew Epenusi say he had been working hard to help his kids to move to the United States. “They just got a visa. That why he was working, so his family can come over here,” said Kafaru. “He was just an innocent man and it just upsets me that he’s gone just like that.”

“It’s really sad because he was here sending money to his family,” said Teague.

Police have asked people with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State said on Monday that he would contest his removal from office during his first term tenure.
The governor spoke on his monthly public enlightenment programme, “Meet Your Governor in Ado Ekiti”.
He said since the Supreme Court had ruled that his impeachment was illegal, null and void, he reserved the constitutional right to so contest the removal.
According to him, since his tenure had been adjudged by the Supreme Court to have been illegally truncated, he had no option than to approach the same court to seek interpretation of the judgement.
The governor said the pertinent question to ask the court was whether by virtue of an earlier judgement in his favour dismissing his removal, he had no right to seek to complete his remaining tenure of seven months.
He emphasised that the case as to whether he was entitled to complete his tenure or not must first be determined before there could be another governorship election in the state in 2018.
Mr. Fayose was sworn in for the first term tenure in May 2003, but his tenure was terminated through impeachment on October 16, 2006.
Meanwhile, the governor has said that he was not bothered by the ongoing strike by fuel dealers in the state.


He said he would not rescind his decision to stop further erection of filling stations in residential areas, even if they strike for one year.
He said demolition of such fuel stations, including those erected near schools would commence on Tuesday.
Besides, he placed a ban on commercial activities in all fuel stations that were currently on strike.
He said there was no way he could allow shops attached to fuel stations to be opened to business when the real filling station was closed to motorists.
Mr. Fayose expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for renaming the Federal University, Oye Ekiti after the late Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo, saying “I begged for it.’’
