She should be queried by the Nigerian Child Rights Organization for allowing her son who is a minor, access to social media at that age. This is where parents of this generation get it wrong, exposing a child that early to the internet... See now

Notwithstanding
Pedophilia must not be condoned (from either gender). I expected her to have exposed them.

All gospel music copied the "world" music system except you are singing in the spirit/tongues while praying which most times has no known musical pattern. Let's stop over analyzing certain things because there is always something to see.

Tell me one gospel artiste you love and I will tell you the origin of his/her genre rooted in world music.

Very true. Some gospel songs are not inspired by the Holy Spirit. There are even some gospel artists who already sold their soul(s) to the devil. One of them in Nigeria came out to confess. Name withheld. And there are many of them in the States.
You have to be discerning in these times oo. These are terrible days.

When i listen to gospel music, it has to stirr my spirit man up from within to dance or sing or remember God's goodness in my life and glorify Him. I should feel something joyous within me and connect to the Spirit.

I actually don't believe in gospel rap. Maybe it inspires some, i don't know. But it doesn't do that to me. It's just copying the world's music system and converting it into Gospel music and then pushing it into the church. Very funny. What rap does is raise up false confidence within a person. A worldly kind of confidence that only glorifies self.

Let's be frank. When we get to heaven, we won't be rapping. Instead, we will bow down before the Lord in worship and praise like the 24 Elders and the angels do. Revelation 4.

I've seen some people even dancing the same old worldly dance moves (shoki, alanta etc.) in the church. And they claim it's dancing unto God. It's wrong! It's for the world not for God. And it does not glorify God at all. Many people dance like that for showman business, so that everyone can notice them.

Many so-called believers are denying the truth and they are headed for hell. May God help us and may He reveal more to us. Amen

God bless you for bringing up this topic. More grace.[/s] But he'll fire does not exist so is God.
There's a difference between Hell and he'll,by the way. And yes Hell does exist, same way we believe other planets exist kiss

Politics / Re: Festus Keyamo: EndSARS Promoters Must Be Prosecuted by Tedassie(m): 12:12am On Jan 12, 2021
Latvin:

Convenient for EndSARS promoters to pin all the violence and anarchy on 'sponsored' hoodlums and touts. These are youths too and the naivety of the promoters led to it. Let the promoters for once claim culpability and join hands with ALL victims to find a way forward.

We all saw it coming. The Govt acceded to all demands and begged for a reconsideration of continued protests. Elders appealed to the youths to embrace dialogue with govt since their demands were met. Recall the protests enjoyed wide acceptance and support across different strata of the society at the outset. However, youth intransigence and not listening to voice of reason soon escalated the already tensed situation leading to the bloody aftermath.

So it's a bit disingenuous to keep saying the protests were peaceful without considering implications on the wider society when hoodlums were just waiting for the perfect opportunity to cash in and cause mayhem which they gladly did.
Regardless of what you or others might want to feel about the whole thing(barring the destruction and all)...Know this. It was only a matter of time before a revolt or should I say...a revolution would take place(even though it all looks silenced and truncated right about now but I can assure you...we haven't seen the end of it) as the govt turns blind eyes and deaf ears to the people's cries for justice and stifle dissenting views!

And as par ''implications the protest had on the ''wider society''(as you put it). I would say: for once in the lives of Nigerians...we took a bold risk! Revolution comes with some pains! some painful losses! a price must be paid for something unfortunately.... lives for the most part. But seeing hope, faith, patriotism rekindled(even if momentarily) in the hearts of Nigerians home and abroad, solidarity from the world over...makes even walking through fire a delight! Not withstanding,i don't attempt to make light the many losses and destruction experienced...May God grant those affected the strength and fortitude to forge on.

[b] Now lemme ask you: What good is our society? if you have to worry about not coming home to your loved ones alive and safe? If you have to worry about not looking too 'rich and flashy' not just in the eyes of criminals but SARS officials..sorry,i mean SWAT officials) for fear of being fleeced or worse still, end up six ft below? We fear not to be wrongfully incarcerated! or abducted! We fear not to be shot and killed by the very persons in whom are saddled with the responsibility of PROTECTING lives and property as well as upholding the sanctity of human existence? The Police
What good or useful is a society? if you have to pay the Police N20,000 in order for them to investigate a criminal case you bring to them.
Doesn't matter if you're a decent person working hard to earn a honest living, you are 10 times more likely to be thrown in jail by the police for doing absolutely nothing or killed by the police and dumped in a river for failing to grease the palms of crooked police officers![b] Ask yourself ''am I truly living like I ought to, as a bonafide citizen of Nigeria? Is this living?

Well, just in case you're not aware or probably 'forgot' the very genesis of the nationwide protests, let me quickly remind you : Days prior, a video went viral on social media showing where SARS officers now SWAT killed a young man (in Ughelli,Delta state) and threw his corpse out of his car and made away with the vehicle...in broad daylight!
Prior to then, in recent past; series of videos of police officers' (especially SARS or SWAT) abuse their power; use malicious brute force to extort, intimidate and even kill people were so regular on social media, that it a became a normal, until people got tired of complaining to government about it, trending social media hashtags, to crown it all (the gruesome video of officers killing that young man) it angered the people the more and hence decided enough was enough...then came the protests; which dramatically opened up a myriad of long-standing issues affecting the citizenry that they felt needed to be voiced out

If you call a supposed disbandment on a rogue police unit(something they've repeatedly portrayed to the general public over the years as true (whereas reality speaks otherwise), rechristening the unit name to another thing entirely with the same rogue elements being redeployed to other depts as 'demands being met', then I honestly don't know to say to you.
A government that has a human face and is sincere; it's truest intentions would be as clear and unambiguous as day. Need I tell you, how much of a failure, the so-called judicial panel of enquiry of victims of EndSARS et all is? We only heard Govt had compensated families of police who lost their lives during the aftermath of the EndSars protests. How bout the families of victims of SARS brutality(past and recent cases), those killed in many states in the wake of the protest by the Police and Army? Was it not the same govt that froze accounts of key EndSARS protesters/supporters, arrested some. For exercising their constitutional right to lawful assembly and freedom of expression yet sponsors of Boko Haram discovered by US and co are left free? The same administration that rode on protests and propaganda to power, is now the one stifling it on all quarters. Hate Speech bills, Clampdowns *sigh*
Damned if we fight for our rights and damned if we don't! Either ways, we're doomed regardless. No soft landing!

Very very true.

Many multimillionaires have low-key become paupers due to this reckless insurrection.

Yes, SARS did many evils. Yes, our government has done many wrongs. But is this reckless act the solution?

In the end, you killed many struggling citizens like you, you destroyed the investment of many citizens like you. You couldn't even touch the politicians you claimed to be against. What's the difference between your delusion and Boko Haram's foolishness?

I get, you feel justified because you've scored a political point against Tinubu. And that political point is worth any number of lives.
First of all...It was a PEACEFUL PROTEST(Unfortunately it turned bloody, owing to brutal iron-clad treatment from the law-enforcement agent
Secondly, there was no 'political point' scored against any politician, the seeming aggression against them we must have witnessed was a culmination of years of pent up anger and frustration of bad governance(which we are all familiar)

To add to it, the media failed to carefully distinguish the elements at play in the chain of events, so all we got was a conflated reportage that seem to render the End SARS protest illegitimate:

-You have the genuine EndSARS protesters(who had a genuine cause for the protest)

-Political thugs or mercenaries(employed by the Government to disrupt and hijack the protests (series of video evidences abound proving this) just to put the blame on genuine EndSARS protesters.
*Take the ''Prison break'' that happened in Benin during that period for example, do you honestly think the Government had nothing to do with it? It was all a setup

-Vandals/Hoodlums unconnected to the agitation who took undue advantage of the protests to destroy and loot property for their own gain, they obviously had their own agenda...which was against the objective of the cause. I term these ones as 'Sleeper agents'

Then you have the Police and even soldiers killing and inflicting harm on the protesters(I've seen videos of soldiers maliciously hunt down unarmed civilians that period). Some joining to destroy property so as to justify a clampdown on the protesters.

Don't you think it's a bit unfair to lump all category of persons as End SARS protesters just to accuse them of all what you just accused them of.

The real EndSARS protesters had absolutely nothing to do with the destruction of property and maiming, rather some unscrupulous elements (of which the Govt know about). Look at how the Govt kept lying about the Lekki Toll gate shooting

From what I saw, a well orchestrated tunnel, fit enough to accommodate a lot of people. One can say that the government knows about that tunnel. Some people were caught there and burnt alive.

We now realize why the streetlights in that side doesn't work. Within that axis, the streetlights were delebrately turned off.
For years, there's been a rise in mad men and women patrolling that area. Now it all makes sense. One can say those mad men were payed agents to watch out.

Politics / Re: Many Police, Army Checkpoints In The South-East? Why Is This So? by Tedassie(m): 12:25pm On Dec 29, 2020
BIGPREEQ:
Why Is This So In The South East?? I Need Explanation

So today I decided to travel to Owerri from onitsha for a business meeting, the journey was meant to be a 1hr30min journey or less, but the check point for such short distance was sooo much!!

Like literally every 1km of the road has checkpoint, it's so bad that from a particular check point, you can basically see another check point ahead.

Ranging from the Army to the police to FRSC. Basically every force is on the road and all of them including the army were collecting bribe from the drivers. I actually felt bad for the drivers because it was too much. I felt really disgusted as well because I expected them to distinguish themselves but no they didn't.

I guess this is why the transport rate here is on the high side.

Now I've spent 4hrs on the road due to traffic induced by these forces from blockage of the road

Last week I came back from Abuja to Anambra and the check point were few across the north and I kept wondering.

Is there insurgency in the SE or is the crime rate high here or what exactly is the cause of this excess checkpoints / extortion points

In reference to the bolded:
Last month, when I travelled from Lagos to Kaduna and back to Lagos (via SD Express; their Luxurious bus) I can categorically tell you that both to and fro, the roads across the North were FREE asf (there were virtually no slowdowns from delays of checkpoints).

My observation based on (but not limited to this) and from experiences of others. I've noticed that:

- All these police officers, road safety and co seem to target mostly small passenger vehicles for extortion (a.k.a stop&search)

-They rarely ever stop luxurious buses for the above.

*Also, luxurious buses commuting from the North and probably owned by a Northerner are allowed free pass.
Even in the North, there is no such things as police checkpoint in the cities/towns

Disclaimer: This is not to insinuate anything along tribalistic bias but just to point out the subtle and obvious disparity in the way things are done in certain places.

Nigerians need to understand that people have right to what they chose to believe in. Religious leaders and parents need to acknowledge and respect that. Just as your choice of clothing must not be mine each person should exercise the right to choice. Anybody can cross religion if persuaded to and should not attract attacks from those not so persuaded.
Furthermore, the real enemies of the people are the political leaders who STEAL what the people would have used to better their lives. It is the absence of such life supporting resources that give rise to the rest of evil you see among the people.
We need mutual respect of religions but above all, we need to outdo one another with love and good deeds. Relating one-on-one members of these religions are really nice people. I speak from experience.
[b]Muslims have so much respect[b] for Jesus Christ only that they see Him just like Jehovah's Witness see Him
But Jesus Christ is far beyond that view. Isaiah 9:6
Even Satan 'respects' Christ. What's your point? Respect is not equal to nor does it translate to acceptance, let alone wholehearted belief in Christ's Divinity. Human 'respect' for Christ without conviction in one's heart of His Divine person and redemption is nothing short of religious eye service! It's vain

Enough of this asslicking.

Firstly, do they visit mosques during Eid?

Secondly, it's an act of hypocrisy to celebrate with someone who believes that God has a son when your religion is based on the belief that God has no son, wife or relative.

Finally, what we need is mutual understanding not this deception and hypocrisy. It stinks.
A Christian is 99.99% likely to be brutalized and killed simply for preaching in front of a mosque than for the same to happen to someone of the other faith. We've seen where faiths other than Islam (Christianity especially) is implicitly and even *constitutionally* outlawed in most Muslim nations and yet somehow Christianity is always given a heavier knock for being 'intolerant'.

I laughed. Who do you Christians bow to? A supposed god who couldn't save himself on the cross. He was so terrified he cowardly asked why he was forsaken. A god who couldn't save himself let alone save his forsaken followers.
I know I am not the best of mankind but I know I have helped lots of Christians. I fed your brethren while in school, helped them in academics. And I have never asked to be assisted in return.

If you really want to know whether we are pagans, kindly apply for a visa, travel and see for yourself. You and I know a lot of Christians have been to Mecca in the name of pilgrimage for commerce, Igbos do that regularly so don't be afraid.

That same Jesus Christ you mock, died for your sins, Muhammad's sins and the rest of the world. As Perfect and sinless as He was, He became a curse(Galatians 3:13),He took all condemnation for mankind's sake, Why? Because He loved us and that we would be saved eternally and our sins(past, present and future be forgiven). So my friend: His death was NOT CHEAP!

Eternal Salvation through the Death& Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not merely a historical spectacle or random event. It's more SUPERNATURAL than Physical

Jesus is Alive today, revealing Himself to those who desire to know Him. Christians can boldly proclaim this! Can we say the same for Muhammad or other Prophets of the myriads of World religions ?

Christianity has no parallel with any ideology or world religions out there! But are the followers perfect? No,but in the eyes of the Most High He considers us cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ and calls us "Sons" .Do we have to do anything to earn His Love? No,we only need to(By Faith) accept Jesus Christ as our Lord& Saviour.

Thus the Shahada is a blasphemous creed!

By the way:
No amount of "good deeds" or "good character" "behavior change" in your lifetime on Earth can ever measure up or cancel out the benefits of what Christ's Salvation already did for you...long before you got here. Your good standing as a person is no substitute for accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. Also, saying Jesus was just a Prophet(by Qur'anic accounts) is as good as rejecting Him entirely.
