Tanzania cuts fuel pump prices on global oil slump

Tanzania's energy regulator cut on Thursday the retail prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene due to the global oil price slump, in a move likely to further ease inflationary pressures.

Fuel prices have a big effect on inflation in east Africa's second-biggest economy.

Prices would have dropped further
 

The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) slashed the maximum retail price on a litre of petrol by 6.83 percent to 2,029 shillings ($1.1634) in the capital Dar es Salaam and that of diesel by 5.85 percent to 1,909 shillings per litre.

The price of kerosene was reduced by 7.16 percent to 1,888 shillings per litre.

"This notable drop in retail and wholesale local prices has been caused by a continued trend of falling world oil market prices and a decrease in the supplier's premium," EWURA said in a statement.

"Prices would have dropped further had it not been for the depreciation of the Tanzanian Shilling against the U.S. dollar."

The price adjustments take immediate effect and will stay in place for one month.

Tanzania's year-on-year inflation fell to 5.9 percent in October from 6.6 percent the previous month.

I'm really impressed with the way you handle and solve problems on this thread. I believe you'll as well advice me on the best thing to do. In 2009 I was issued a 10year ban from entering the UK. My offence was that I used a fake WAEC( West Africa Examination Council) certificate in my student admission processing. It was no fault of mine. My original WAEC result was burnt in a fire disaster in 2006(I have proof and documents to support this). While I was processing my visa, Chelis Education Consult( They also introduced me to the college I applied to) who was assisting me with advisory services told me since I have just a statement of result from my secondary school, that I should go to WAEC HQ office and request for a replacement with a WAEC Certificate. I was issued a fake copy by touts that I thought were staffs and the result had the exact statement with my burnt certificate and results when you check online. I innocently submitted my documents with all tuition fees fully paid and bank statements but was banned for forgery. Please advice me how I can go about this so that the ban can be reversed. Thank you

Its very simple...Go to her office and pretend like u r game, record all the cooversations using ur phone or get a secret button camera and record a live video without her knowing.
