To be honest this development is the sort even the most staunch fan of Buhari cannot and should not defend. This is a disappointment and Buhari must move decisively to resolve this budget bruhaha that is making his government look fraudulent and no different to that he he promised us he would operate different to. Buhari is beginning to lose the goodwill of Nigerians after they believed in him and made sacrifices for his win in the hope he would be "change". I am disappointed. Really dissapointed with this budget saga. It shows a very serious disconnection between Buhari and those under him.

Like Arresa asked, why has Buhari kept on the many crooks who brought down the GEJ government? No deserving Nigerians to replace them? I doubt that. PMB should sit up and start taking 100% control with his own appointees and directives. Otherwise we are back to square one and some of us will simply begin considering how to replace an ineffective government that cannot move us forward.

I saw a man sharing bill to individuals at GRA, Port harcourt yesterday and i immediately hurried to get my own particular duplicate yet subsequent to perusing the substance of the bill i found the cash in the bill can make a man clean in the event that he is truly working with the obscure organization, besides that i also found out that there was no organization name on the bill, and i envisioned inside of me that if the organization pays this, how can it be that the young fellow sharing the bill is slightly cleaner than a 15yrs old crazy person with a degree, since i was frantically searching for occupation i said i will call the number after evening church service, but lately did i know that it was a scam advert.

wen i called, the person never picked up the call, xo a friend told me to call, that they are scammers that i should wait patiently withing the week that a call will come in with a dif. number demanding for for some ransom if i really need the Job, that it has happens to him and i immediately took his advice

I like your points and they make sense but the question now is how does Nigeria raise the money needed to build the infrastructure before we talk about taxing to maintain? You know very well what our current economic situation is! Those ills you spoke about happened with past governments. This is a new govt with good plans but no money to implement. They literally have no other choice. The fact that they even have to beg and appeal to Nigerians to accept the tariff hikes should tell you a lot.

don't believe that lie that Nigeria is broke, am not against taxation, the government knows what to do and how to manage the available funds.

1. A close study of the budget shows you that the government is not ready to change, political class still want to recover what they spent during campaign.
Have you not noticed hidden funds in the budget, lots of repetition of items, hike of prices of items. Desperate times requires desperate measures but not taxation. The national assembly has car allowance but Still allocated 3billion for new cars for themselves. Some ministries have increased their wage bill, pls when did the federal civil service recruit.

Right in front of our face, the minister for health said the budget before Senate is not the one he prepared, what does that sound like to you. I can tell you, not only his ministry was tempered with.

just check out what they added, a few billion and million naira here and there i can tell you, it can do a lot in construction of roads.

The national Assembly should be placed on minimum wage too, and some of those needless allowance cut off. you will be surprised the amount of money that will be recovered.

Civil service is very corrupt, TSA will help control leakages but More still needs to be Done, they are top government officials collecting more than their salary, they add ghost names, and names of their children in payrolls even people that have died, are still being credited. someone is stealing all these.

if all the leakages are blocked, at least to an extent, silly allowance cut off, Nigeria will recover a lot of money.

FYI, there is nothing like past government, government is a continuous thing and the same thieves are steal in charge.

let me tell you what the tarriff is for, they increased tarrif so that they can raise money to develop their capacity to provide services, which you will be required to pay.
When you start business do you ask your customers to give you money to buy AC and furnish your office so that your customers will enjoy??

Or you source for funds furnish your office and add it to the price of the service you render.

This is what They are trying to do, collect money from you and use it to invest so As to make more money, remember this is no longer a government property, it is owned by private thieves.

All the power station, substation, gas pipelines etc were still but With taxpayers money, they were also given 300billion naira to start up.

All these our money, yet they increase tariffs, where are we heading …
