NwaAmaikpe:

Southwest will betray Atiku like they have always done. That is the sad truth. They will rather vote Buhari hoping that it will afford their kinsman a shot at the Presidency in 2023.
If only they knew that voting Buhari means that they may not even live to see 2023 because of the hardship and anguish he will bring.
The learned ones will vote APC Their illiterates will vote Buhari Their youths will vote Sowore Their non-indigenes will vote Durotoye.
South West is actually the problem. They see APC as their regional political party. But they don't know that AD is different from APC.
They are highly educated and most of them have been exposed to life in the Western world, but they never understand the big picture. Bola Ige did not die for the Yorubas to enslave their future.
That's a sad fact. How do you describe not voting Atiku as "betrayer"?. I thought you would've realised the fact that everyone has the right to exercise his/her franchise willingly for whoever he/she wants. You really need to consult your dictionary before you use any word. Stop showing us how half educated you are. |

Politics › Re: Ndigbo Settle For Atiku/Obi Ticket by teejona(m): 8:22pm On Nov 14, 2018 |
Corrinthians: Please Id like to ask a couple of questions.
- After the defeat of the preferred candidate of Ndigbo in 2015 presidential election, they rented the air and cyberspace with cries about Yorubas being "betrayers".
- Not done with calling them betrayers, they went on to call them "Hausa/Fulani slaves" because they chose to vote a Fulani man, Buhari, who triumphed over their preferred candidate.
Now..
1. What makes Yorubas betrayers for choosing to exercise their freedom of association? Did they cut any deal with the Ndigbo to support Jonathan? Who were the political leaders that made the deal with Ndigbo on behalf of Yorubas?
2. What makes Yorubas slaves? Since when did forming political alliances in furtherance and promotion of a people's collective interest amount to SLAVERY?
3. What did Yorubas do then which Ndigbo aren't doing now, especially with one of their sons chosen as the VP candidate same way a Yoruba son was picked by Buhari?
Lastly and most importantly..
How would Igbos feel if those same words they have been using to describe Yorubas since 2015 is now used to describe them? I've never seen a people that talk anyhow without subjecting what they are about to say to moral test like this igbos. once you're not in the same camp with them they see nothing good in you. |

The 74 other candidates individually know quite well that they do not even stand a chance of winning guber elections in their respective states let alone a presidential election.
In this era, where we have failed governors, dancers, comedians/actors and and serial looters in the business of making and amending our laws as well as determining our national budgets, they are rushing for presidency as if that it is the only way they can contribute to national development.
Being technocrats, publisher, professors etc isn't the only requirement for governance, it is about galvanizing grassroots support to make our society a better place. honestly we share the same sentiment, everybody is just pursuing self agenda. if not we need the right people to occupy the national assembly than the presidency. that's the truth. what can an upright president do when the national assembly is filled people who don't have the interest of the nation at hand. That's why I'm so disappointed in our young politicians. we cannot take power from these old self centered men without forming the majority in the national assembly. Politics › Re: Why I Won’t Attend Fayemi’s Inauguration – Fayose by teejona(m): 11:12pm On Oct 11, 2018 |
6Ebisco: The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has explained that he may not honour invitation to attend the inauguration of Dr. Kayode Fayemi because of the erratic nature of politicians.
The Governor added that he had promised to appear at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) on October 16, which he said coincided with day of the swearing in.
The governor also advised that whoever emerges Speaker in the state House of Assembly should work for the progress of the state.
Fayemi had on Wednesday disclosed that Fayose was specially being expected at his swearing in on Tuesday, saying he is free to attend the ceremony as Ekiti leader.
Speaking at a press conference in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, Fayose said the EFCC may have the opportunity of harassing him if he reneged on his promise to appear before it next Tuesday.
“Politicians are erratic people, if I should attend the programme, some politicians may use the chance to harass me even when they are not sent by Fayemi.
“This will further destroy relationship. Issues between me and Fayemi is not personal. I have been cooperating with the committee set up by Fayemi on this transition
“Again, I have to be in EFCC office in Abuja on Tuesday. But let me say clearly that I am ready to appear before any Panel set up by incoming government to probe my administration”, he said.
Fayose stated that he has not committed Ekiti to any debt, either by way of bond or bank loans since he took over in 2014.
“Contrary to what they are saying that I have committed Ekiti to a huge debt, I didn’t commit Ekiti with a dime. Whatever we do in government, history will forever remain after us”.
He urged Fayemi to deploy the N327 million kept in bank by his administration to complete the new Oja Oba market for the use of Ekiti traders.
The Governor added that he decided to abandon the civic centre project started by Fayemi and constructed a new market because it was not a priority to the people of the state.
Fayose said the newly built Ministry of Finance shall be named after former Minister of National Planning, Chief Ayo Ogunlade to appreciate his contributions to the state.
The governor said he decided not to name any project after himself on the basis of his belief that such was morally wrong.
“The flyover, the new governor’s office, the roads, the Oja Oba market, the Funmilayo Olayinka Women development centre and other projects will speak for me even if I refuse to name projects after myself,” he said.
Fayose said he won’t dabble into the crisis rocking the State Assembly, which culminated in the removal of the Speaker, Hon Kola Oluwawole and his deputy, Sina Animasaun on Thursday.
Three All Progressives Congress (APC) and 11 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday removed the principal officers and installed an APC lawmaker, Hon Adeniran Alagbada, as the new Speaker.
Fayose said: “I won’t dabble into what is happening in the assembly. Whether they elect Oluwawole or Alagbada, such person must believe that he was elected to serve Ekiti people.
“I enjoin them to cooperate with Fayemi to move Ekiti forward. I don’t want to hear of any impeachment against Fayemi, if truly we are here to serve”, he advised.

Buterflyle0: PDP Convention: ‘Bidding’ opens as Saraki doles out $1,000 per delegate
Senate President Bukola Saraki has reportedly started paying money to delegates at the Peoples Democratic Party’s national convention, marking perhaps the first move in an expected flurry of payouts which aspirants are keen on raining on delegates to win support for the presidential nomination.
Mr Saraki paid out $1,000 per delegate at about noon on Saturday, hours before voting opens in the convention, PREMIUM TIMES learnt from delegates, including those who received the largesse.
“We have received our first goodwill from the Senate President Bukola Saraki,” a delegate from Nasarawa State told PREMIUM TIMES. “It is our first dollars here, but we know more would still come from other aspirants, they have been calling us since yesterday.”
A spokesperson for the Saraki campaign did not immediately return calls for comments. But two sources in his campaign who were amongst those who coordinated the payout stashed in campaign paraphernalia have corroborated the claim to PREMIUM TIMES.
The top lawmaker is perhaps the first to pay out cash to influence the choice of delegates. At least 4,000 delegates are expected to vote for 12 aspirants when the exercise commences at this stadium in a few hours’ time.
It is still early in the day, as politician insiders tell PREMIUM TIMES that the payout would rise as voting kick off.
“Do not be surprised if they hike the rate to $4,000, this is not your average convention,” a source attached with the campaign of one of the top-four contenders told PREMIUM TIMES

Some delegates in Cross River, Delta, Ebony and Edo states, told Daily Trust that they are bitter because welfare committee would have been very active to prevent anybody from collapsing because of starvation.

ManirBK: The failure of the 12 presidential aspirants of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, to agree on a consensus candidate has delayed the start of the party’s convention in Port Harcourt. The 12 aspirants met earlier in the day but after almost an hour of deliberation, there was no agreement on a consensus candidate.
According to a reliable source, the meeting ended in deadlock as all the aspirants vowed to continue with their campaign.
“It was difficult to agree on a consensus candidate as each of the aspirants argued on their individual strengths and urged others to step down. The power brokers in the partyare looking at this and how to avert any post-convention crisis. Meetings and consultations are expected to continue,” the source said.
Few minutes after the meeting, there was celebration in the camp of the governor of Sokoto state over the rumour that the former Accountant – General of the Federation and governor of Gombe state, Ibrahim Dankwambo has agreed to step downfor the former speaker of the House of Representatives.
However, the rumour has been denied by the Dankwambo camp. One of his aides who craved anonymity said it is not possible for the two-term governor to step down for Tambuwal who recently re-joined the party
The convention originally billed for 10am is yet to start as at the time of filing this report at 5:05pm.

Let’s check the signs that your boyfriend loves you more than anyone else:
1. He Has No Secrets From You
When your guy hides no secrets from you, it’s usually a signs your boyfriend loves you more than anyone else. This shows that he loves you enough to give you himself entirely –both the good side and the darker one.
2. He Asks For Your Opinions
Your boyfriend will only ask you what you think if he cares about your opinion. In doing so, it proves that your thoughts and ideas really do matter to him.
3. The Way He Adores You
His adoration of you is usually apparent from how his eyes light up every time he sees you. He showers you with compliments and does not hide that he’s mesmerized by your every move. Sometimes, you might even notice him staring at you with dreamy eyes. That’s your boyfriend loving you.
4. He Listens to Everything You Say
This is quite like the Signs A Man Loves You Secretly. Just as your opinions matter to him, also do your words. When he asks about how your day is, it’s because he genuinely wants to know. You can see from the way he listens intently and pay attention to every single detail that you say.
5. He Worries About You
No, he doesn’t offer you a ride home just because it is something boyfriends are supposed to do. Instead, he’s really worried about your safety and wants to protect you in all the ways he can. Sometimes he’s also worried about choices and decisions which you make that would affect your whole life, and is not hesitant to express it. This is also the Signs He is Fighting His Feelings for You.
6. He Clears Up His Schedule For You When your boyfriend loves you more than anyone else, he is willing to give up everything for you. It wouldn’t even be a burden to postpone meetups with friends or dentist appointments if it means fitting movie nights around your schedule.
7. He Enjoys Spending Time With You
It usually does not matter what you do or where you are. As long as the two of you are spending time together, he is happy. He doesn’t need to take you out to fancy dinners or night clubs to be able to admire you, and he knows it.
8. He’s Jealous of Other Guys
Maybe his emotions are quite subtle that you’ll have difficulty discerning them, but if you look hard enough you can notice at least a tinge of jealousy. Most of all when you’re especially kind and intimate towards your guy friends, but also when a random guy winks at you in the bar.

5Ebiscoo: Former Kano Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has confirmed that authorities have sealed the Eagle Square.
Kwankwaso had announced that he would make his presidential declaration for presidency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday.
The Kwankwaso Campaign Organisation, in a statement made available to DAILY POST, expressed disappointment that the Federal Capital Territory Administration(FCTA) suddenly turned down the request earlier approved “for some flimsy reasons”
It said: “In a letter dated August 27th, 2018 and signed by Usman Mukhtar Raji for the Facility Manager and received on August 28th, 2018 barely 24 hours to the scheduled declaration, the Abuja International Conference and Eagle Square, managed by the Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd has reversed itself in respect of approval granted the organizers of the declaration of Senator Kwankwaso.
“We at the Kwankwaso Campaign Organisation sees the development as a handiwork of the government in power who will not see anything good in growing our fledgling democracy as no level playing field has been created to allow for viable opposition in the country.
“Even at that, earlier Tuesday morning the Abuja International Conference and Eagle Square, managed by the Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd refused us access to inspect the premises demanding us to present a police permit, when actual approval for the use of the Eagle Square has been sought and paid for more than one week to the said declaration.
“The above development will in no way dampen our morale to go ahead with the declaration or chicken-out as it will only embolden us to legally pursue our fundamental right to freedom of movement and association.”
