See the nonsense you are saying. Before Ronaldo, madrid won the champions league in 2002 and won the la liga in 2003. Since then, it was a trophy less spell despite having the galacticos. Since the 2004/05 season to 2009/10 season, Madrid never went beyond the round of 16 in the ucl. Though they had nice champions league titles in the past but they were shitty and pathetic for a long time afterwards. Their only major achievements after 2003 and before Ronaldo was winning the la liga in 2007 & 2008. Even at that, they never went beyond the round of 16 in the 2007 & 2008 ucl seasons. Their victories Spain in 2007 & 2008 coincided with a huge drop in FC Barcelona's form as Ronaldinho and Deco had stop performing on the top level and Barca spent the 2008 season trying to rebuild their team after Ronaldinho's departure. What happened when Barca regained their form in 2008/09? They trashed Madrid, the champions of Spain, 6-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu exposing Madrid as "wuruwuru" champions of Spain and Madrid went trophiless that season. That was the season before Ronaldo came.

The fact that they had nine champions league did not prevent them from being a shitty and pathetic club before Ronaldo came. Would you say Nottingham Forest is a big club because they have two ucl titles? Of course not. Try to be logical in your arguments.

please stop saying this nonsense. Madrid was already the most successful club in Europe before Ronaldo dreamt of playing for Man Utd much less joined Madrid. They also dominated La liga a lot before Barcelona's resurgence.

And even when Ronaldo joined (2009/2010 season), it was not until Mourinho took over as coach in 2010/2011 that they broke their Lyon jinx and reached the UCL semis where they got knocked out by Barca.

Still they had to wait another 3 years to win their 10th UCL title in 2014. In 2015/2016, they were totally going downhill again until Zidane took over mid season.

Even with the UCL success, they still trailed Barca in every other competition in which they met. In fact, Madrid won Laliga just twice in the 9 years Ronaldo was there, the same number of times they won in the three years before Ronaldo joined.

So yeah, Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but it's nonsense to say the world's richest team with the most trophies in Spain and Europe was a small team before Ronaldo joined. If you don't watch football, don't talk about it.
