The Brazil clinical trial had two arms for a good reason which clearly is beyond you. However you are distorting the findings when you talk of "overdose " high dose is not the same thing as overdose at any rate even in the low dose group there was no evidence of significance.

You do not have the education to interpret this information and should leave it to experts.

There is no reason this would be suppressed in the US if it worked.

Hello dear, while the Brazilian test was done at 'higher' dozes leading to heart complications, they did not do a test that was within the range of what the 'family' doctor prescribed and with their 'findings' concluded it was not safe to use Chloroquine for Covid 19. At the very least, it should have beet 'at high dozes'.

They used 450mg, 900mg (450mg doubled on first day), 600mg. Compare that to the family doctor's 200mg. That is waaay higher. At the very least if they were trying to discredit Chloroquine in its entirety, they should at least do it right.

P.S Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine are FDA approved drugs

My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:
1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days

2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days

3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days

Clearly the Brazilian clinical trial had wide margin with high overdoze levels with some even getting 900mg on the first day!

I think the Governor having to come out and speak up like this has to do with why major medical bodies are not saying it. So far, he claims it to be the reason his Bauchi does not have a single Covid 19 death so far as that is what the medical personnel use there. Worth a look don't you think?

I have to modify my earlier post and positively appraise Nairaland mods for bringing this news to d front page not because anybody took Kemi seriously but cos some of d mods will push unverified news against Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob to d fp and never do same with a verified counter. For d first time in a long while am very impressed with Nairaland and hope it's sustained. Actually, the mods try to balance all info coming in. Nairaland is not as staffed enough to verify all info but they at least send both sides of the story to the front page and let people discern which is which.

Stop loss is the only thing for me that can put you in a situation where you are not emotional if you first accept losses is part of the deal.
Now the thing is if you ever entered a trade without SL, many things can happen, 1 very often the case is emotion, if the market is against you, you now fight of an emotional battle to close or wait for the market to reverse, and that's how account gets blowed. Also imagine you are an all Technical Guy, you don't care about fundamentals, and you have bought A USD pair without stop loss, your friend or enemy(Depending on how you see him), Trump decides to hold a press conference and threatens to bomb China, things will be like a flash. 0.23$ account balance and you know what that means.
Now any strategy that does not take into account risk management, is and can never be a good one. Nobody owns the market, the only thing you won is your stop loss.
So you can go and check for other Expert Advisers with risk management integrated.

You are being generous. It can become negative. A good number of brokers balance up the negative but some like FXCM will have you offset your own negative.

I am not a trader but a fashion designer. I picked interest in trading not long ago and started studying without a strategy of my own.

I was one of the beneficiaries of benqozenero strategies given freely here. Also used it as I understood during the competition and I am even still studying and practicing it. I am not perfect yet so not using stop loss while the strategy stated otherwise maybe I forgot or excitement.

All in all I still got 10k consolation.

We are traders, we live by the rules. I just had to drum that in.

Whom should I have awarded? The ones who were not newbies (remember young traders are the target) or the ones that were newbies but did not follow rules?

I have no business in encouraging another person who would later rack up client losses. I've had lots of students that lost because of not following up on rules.

2007-2008 at my trading club in Ogbomosho, Seun came in on Monday with $1700. By Thursday, he was on $5600 hoping to cash out at $6000. Friday came and he lost EVERYTHING! He grabbed me and I remember the pain in his eyes. I felt really sorry for him but I wasn't moved, my heart was already stone. I had lost multiples of that in 2007. Client funds I had lost in trading that till today I am still clearing up (take a guess how much it must have been for a 13 yrs debt).

I just simply have no sentiments for those that did not make my bare minimum. The prize was equally open to those that ended up in losses but not below the stated threshold I set. Even hedge funds congratulate themselves in a losing month as long as the loses were not much. As long as they followed their own strategy even though ending up with a loss, they could win the award. The disqualifier was still not fulfilling all rules. I see no reason to give someone a pat when it is not deserved.

I was once a supertrader, the guy in 'Rogue Trader' was also a supertrader. A whole nation cried because of him not abiding by rules. I don't want copies of my old self. My contest, my money, my rules. It is just so simple.

The first result shows over $6000 loss with over 70% drawdown. It was actually at $17000 plus without the last set of trades closed at stop.

Same Ea, $12000 plus profit and over 40% maximum drawdown.

This is the type of services I do and it cost the client just $20 and I have no idea what and what the client would make with it.

That is the kind of upgrade I would have done for my winner even after giving him/her a free ea. Further monetizing advice would have come along. So Jammer777 ask yourself, who actually would have gained more, me or the newbie winner?

An Idea

I have an idea for a forex competition to help those beginners [/b]that need trading funds. The first part being [b]consistency in their trading strategy and sticking to it throughout the duration of the trial.

The Trial

A forex demo trading competition.

Everyone starts with a trading account of $10,000 which is coincidentally similar to a $100 account in cents (more on this later).

Contest starts and runs for the last two weeks of each month.

Awarding the prize

Winner is the trader with the highest ROI or highest balance since all accounts start with the same amount.

At the end of the contest, the highest ranked trader will give me a report of his/her trading strategy and I will authenticate that ALL trades made conform to the trading strategy. Any single off strategy trade will lead to disqualification and prize goes to the next highest ranked trader.


Prize is $100 or equivalent in naira paid into winner's Dom or Savings account. (I will see about raising this and increasing prize positions in coming months).

As an added bonus, I will automate the winning trading strategy into an expert advisor for the winner. I would advice winner should not sell it nor give it out (I will give recommendations on how to make more with it without giving out the farm). There truly is something called the law of diminishing returns.

Grounds For Disqualification

All gurus and pros are not entitled to participate. I would rather you add more to the prize pot. This also includes anyone who has dropped trading signals in any of the nairaland forex threads.

Any new nairaland account that was created from today ontowards is not entitled to participate.

A prize winner for a month is not entitled to a prize in the next immediate month.

The contest trading account should NOT have a drawdown more than 20% of the starting account balance. The concept is to ensure you will maintain money management rules so as not to blow the prize money in a swoop.
