I must say that my case is almost similar to yours; the difference is that he is physically and verbally abusive. He has not admitted to the fact that he has the problem and his family put the blame on me. When I couldn’t take the abuse any longer I moved out over a year ago. The truth is that I loved him enough to stay no matter what, but I had to consider my safety and made the tough decision.
It’s over a year now and he and his family have been silent. I have decided however to end the farce and I am filing for a divorce. I am certain that if it was the other way round and it was found that I had a serious medical condition, they would have found him a new wife. I am also certain that he would not have supported or protected me. I would not waste my time any longer.
Life is too short to allow anyone keep you from being all that you should be.
