As you said the money is a gift, then it should be no problem. I made this statement because the money will need to be in your account till you land in Canada. This can be for more than 8 months.

I will however first address the issue of the money you fixed in August 2016. You said you want to submit your application to IRCC. Have you already got ITA? If yes, when did you get ITA? I am asking this question because if you have already got ITA and you plan to submit your application within the next 1-2 months, you will have to show the proofs of the source of the 3M as well.

With regard to the 2.7M gifts, I will advise you to transfer the money in just a lump sum (i.e. all the money at once), then back it up with a gift deed from the person that transferred the money to your account. On the other hand, if you are married, you can tell all the people that are giving you the money to transfer it to your spouse and then your spouse will transfer all the money to your account. In this case, you will require a letter of explanation from your spouse stating that he/she transferred the money to your account to support your family's plan to obtain Canada's PR and he/she does not have plans to collect the money back. Your bank statement showing the transaction from your spouse account to yours should also be included.

Please note that even with the above, you will still be required to submit a letter from your bank showing the opening dates, type, closing balances and the average balances of all your accounts for the past 6 months.

I want to submit my application to CIC. I need a total of N5.7M to show has POF. I have a fixed deposit of 3M fixed in August 2016 to mature December 2016 ( I will roll it over). But then I raised the remaining 2.7M from friends and family as a gift really. So basically the 2.7 will appear as recent deposits (1M 500k, 200k etc). I understand that is a red flag. Please advise me on what to do to clear this flag.

I currently work as an IT project manager with PMP certification and other IT related certifications. However, I realized my occupation falls under (NOC 1221 hopefully am correct) hence, i discovered from my research so far that it's not been in the occupation-demand list of SINP, NovaScotia, NewFoundland & NewBrunswick.

My question here is, does my NOC 1221 ever get updated for occupation in demand by any of the above-listed provinces which makes it eligible to apply for the PNP or if there are other provinces that require my NOC that I didn't mention above.

You have tried to make enquiries about how to get your licence to practice in Manitoba( you may need to send an email to the Licencing authority just to have a proof you have taken steps) you may also say u are working on getting done all the requirements that does not require you to be in Manitoba sorted. You also have xx years experience practising as a lawyer in Nigeria. These are just examples oooh.

2) Mention the fact that English is the official language of comms in Nigeria + The Language of Instruction in your say17 years of education is English + u have written IELTS recently and your score is xxxxx

3) You can work as a paralegal or legal assistant while waiting for your license application to be approved

These are examples pls. I dont know if it is the way to go

I am at the verge of being confirmed at my place of work and also just got my TRV to relocate with my hubby in Canny land. Why not apply for letter of reference before you resign. I mean apply for the letter now that you are still a staff. Then present a resignation letter after(duly acknowledged by HR) + the letter of reference in future as proof of experience.

SINP has updated the application guide and introduced new occupations in demand. Some NOCS were also removed from the demand list. The new list is very short .This means, they might open for EE soon. So if your noc is on the list I suggest start gathering and upload your documents on OASIS.

So far, only certificates and statements of result have worked. I don't think they accept attestations.

UNILAG sha. A friend finished his Msc exams in 2012 but got his certificate in 2014.

You might just have to wait it out or evaluate only Bsc, especially if the MSC won't give you a CRS of at least 460.

I don tire for UNILAG sef. What's the difference between Letter of Attestation & Statement of Result. The attestation is suppose to state one has finished the degree however the certificate isnt ready..Is that not sufficient? I have the same issue regarding my Masters certificate. Cheers

I really appreciate the united efforts you guys are making to ensure we achieve this feat. Please i would like to confirm a few things about my work history. I'm currently in Nigeria and hope to apply from here.
- I have applied for a student's visa in the past, hence CIC has info in my work history. I have now worked for 4 different organizations in past 5 years and the job descriptions fell into 3 different NOCs.

The first 2 employers covers a total of 2yrs experience with 2 different NOCs, while the last 2 (including my current work) covers a total of 3.5 yrs experience with same NOC.).

Meanwhile the first company I worked for has been liquidated, hence my supervisor can't issue me a reference with official letter heading paper, but I listed this liquidated company while applying for my student visa in 2011 (which was refused due to insufficient funds).

Can I ignore the first two organizations (including the liquidated company) and fill only the last two organizations where I gained the required 3 yrs experience, which would also give me the maximum point for work experience?

My major concern is that the liquidated company's info was included in my student visa application in 2011,and I feel that CIC would expect me to include same details on my work history for the Perm residence application. Not sure if my application will be rejected if I omit this information as I can't produce a reference letter with the official letter heading.

Finally,I would like to get a clear information on the documents required to show the skilled work completed as a self-employed person who worked as a director of his limited liability company. I understand we need letter from clients or 3rd party, but I would like to get the full document details/checklist to support the self-employed work experience.

In my opinion, you have the right to choose which work experience will fetch you maximum points. However, be sure the dates of the work experience you want to use is not in conflict with the liquidated company in your previous application (Not sure they will check but you never can tell). This is just my opinion you let's read what others have to say.

Please who knows what IQAS or WES assess a One-Year MBA Program as? Masters degree. I have read online where some MBA degrees from India has been assessed as just a One Year Graduate education but not a Masters degree (WES).

Secondly which is better for ECA IQAS or WES? Turn around time is very important to me.

1. Yes you can but its advisable to wait for the assessments by WES to be concluded before opening an EE profile.
2. Yes it can be updated. invariably it is the same when you wait for the documents to be complete before opening a profile.
3. The highest qualification can be assessed alone which in this case is the MBA especially as time to you is of the essence. Nevertheless, it would have cost the same price to evaluate both degrees in case you might want to use the BSc evaluated


later in Canada.

Hi guys.

I need your help. I applied for a UK tourist visa , I was issued the visa. But while completing the application, they ask if I was travelling with anybody, I said NO. Reason being that they did not grant my wife leave at work for that period. But her boss later informed her that she can proceed on leave. Now she is considering travelling with me and my 2 kids who already have UK visas.
