I bake too and I found that it has a lot to do with the baking time. Bake until no batter comes out on a toothpick inserted in the middle. Not even a minute more than that otherwise it bakes too much and becomes dry and crumbly. You just need to hone your timing skills (This is provided the recipe is a good one. You could share your recipe and I'll see if there's anything to improve on there)

bestestgirl: Try Organics hair mayonaise, that stuff can soften even Jesus's crown of thorns. It is used like a conditioner i.e. After washing when hair is still wet. A big tub goes for like 900 naira but u can find small samples of it in the Organic's kit relaxer. Best of luck

I've tried that stuff, it didn't work for me and I would not even classify my hair as tough.

Moisture. use a good deep conditioner and a leave in conditioner as well and don't shampoo your hair too much or use harsh soaps that dry it out.
