The way some of you lie is very shameful ans pathetic. So, you're hear saying all he ever does is give you 2500 daily and nothing more?
He doesn't buy bulk food stuff, pay rents, pay school fees, pay other bills, fill the gas etc?
As you buy food in bulk, pay house rent and school fees you think that is what every other men are doing. I am 42 years now, I don't involve myself in any argument again even with my husband at home since I have talked several times what I do is to manage what I have because I don't want to develop hypertension, if I die now who will take care of my children.
My son suffered hernia for 4 years plus and my husband could not do anything until I came here and people helped me with the bills which I am grateful.

You are living comfortable life does not mean others do, presently I don't do pass myself, I manage what I have, I don't argue with my husband because if I do I will develop hypertension and I don't have money for drugs and hospital bills.

amili66:
I really wish I had never married this man. I dont know what is keeping me in the union but oh no, I dont have any happy time with him.

He is not committed at allllllllllllll, am in pain, deeply sad and sorrowful. He is promiscuous, have speech issues and maybe memory issues. Very had to please and make this difficult always.

He'd rather please outsider than me making me and the kids happy. When I got pregnant, I only received 100k from him to buy infants items as I had twins, I funded every other things and not that he doesnt have money. We build our house together but his family sees him as their Lord and this man train his cousins, nieces, and now had the mind to tell me again that he has adopted another child of his cousin to sponsor. He never pays our kids school fees 100%, I'll always have to balance the rest cos I do not want embarrassment from their school.

We moved abroad some years ago and no he says he'll drive my kids out of the house once they clock 14, but he is training his family children who are over 25 years old. Well, I don't have many, I can train them but I truly regret this marriage,

I am never going to advise anyone ot marry.

Coming abroad, this man would sit and call those in Nigeria for hours daily, he is never serious with his work and will chose to work form home until he got sacked and since then he's being struggling to get a job and I am getting blammed daily. He said his friends called him to warn him never to give me a smiling face, they dont know I have never had a smiling face from him and this man has gone from bad to worst.

You all who it to read social media comments over men who cry woes abroad, if I leave this one now and he comes on social media, you all will start to condemn the woman without listening to her. Am in pain, it has gone from worse while in Nigeria to worst here abroad. Everyday he says marriages dont work abroad, regret coming but go back he is refusing saying we must all go back with him. I cant, I rather remain here and cut off from all my friends and family.

Maybe I remained in the marriage because of shame from people around. And I am not from that loving family so they'll laugh me.

Am so sad; at times, I just feel I never said yes to him, I had many other suitors. but I considered him because he was nice then, things changed the very first day we got married, he started telling me all the evil advise his family had advised him.

I regret building with him; I should have invested on my own.

He has never bought even a shirt for his kids, shoes, toys, christmas cloths, nothing, i Mean notihng, never. when their school asked they buy laptops, he said they are not of the age, nothing. But this man dishes out money to others. I have been supportive enough, but still not appreciated. All i get is name calling, I have never since our marriage of 16 years received a gift, I dont know what it looks like. They have never owrn christmas dress bought by their father.
I want you to thank God that your job can foot your bills and as somebody said earlier shift your attention to taking care of yourself and your children. I will use myself as an example, my marriage is 18 years plus and I have 4 children the only thing my husband take is feeding which is N2,500 daily , it was N1,500 before cooking meat and taking milk or tea is luxury in my house because I use my salary to pay school fees and other bills I changed two of my children school to public before, after a year I saw the difference between private and public school, I had to change the one in science class to private school the other one who is in humanitarian class I can teach her at home.
I am a graduate but I am not fortunate to earn a reasonable salary, I don't have savings and I am 42 years now and no family members to assist, please my sister you don't have a problem so far your job can take care of you and your children.
CrimeRe: Ekene Agala: Man Wrongly Accused Of Stealing ₦2M Beaten By Mob In Enugu by Telltruth123: 12:34pm On Jun 29
Somebody told a story yesterday, he said there was a man who was a butcher when he closed from work on his way going home, he meet a man on the floor who was stabbed. He tried to rescue him by removing the knife from his stomach being a butcher, his clothes were stained with blood so when people saw him they said he is the killer. Police arrested him and charged him to court and he was charged for murder.

On the day they wanted to execute him, he said he was not the person that killed the man but he has killed somebody before, he said was a Fisher man, there was a lady he was dating before which he loved dearly suddenly the lady changed her mind and married another person in there village. He said one day, he saw the lady at the river with her baby wanted to take canoe to another village and he was the only person around with his cano so the woman did not have choice, she entered so when they got to the middle of river he told the woman that he wants to have sex with her which she disagree because of that he killed the baby and the mother.

He said because of that he ran away from the village and came to city to become a butcher, he said truly he is not the one that killed the man but this is the punishment from God for the murder of the baby and mother he killed in his village.
There is karma and we should be careful of how we live our life, may God forgive our sin.

Should I use my 7 million to buy mini bus or I should buy Treasury bill please
I need urgent advice please
Please if you want to get the mini bus, manual is better and the one with chain it is very important from my husband experience.
The advantage is that it will not consume much fuel and easy to maintain, it doesn't get fault easily on like the automatic that will consume fuel and also hard to maintain. My husband has tested both, he is a driver, he faced slot of challenges driving automatic.

PoliticsRe: Economic Hardship In Nigeria Painful But Necessary – FG by Telltruth123: 4:14pm On May 15
Sir, you are just deceiving us, when Yaradua became president he reduced the price of petrol and he did not borrow money like you people. I am just tired of this your explanations without good results, you remove subsidy and start borrowing money left and right you also increase tax. You collect money from the poor and give the rich, is that a good governance no other words you people have failed.

All the governors you are giving allocations, what are they doing with it? They are not performing no security we can't sleep with our eyes closed, the poverty has doubled people are hungry if you put anything outside your house, they will steal it.

But the source of borehole water is natural & unlimited, why are they this stingy with water?
I don't know maybe when they pump water it consume their light that is why they don't want to give. I have not used light in our house so I don't know how friendly it is on prepaid meter but what pain me most is when I see the water wasting away when they are pumping it.

So sorry to hear this. But you have to try and get things done cos the price are shooting up everytime. Dig well if borehole is expensive then. If the amout said for borehole is correct then water isn't far from you.
Thank you very much, we tried to do well, they told us that there is rock underneath that is why we didn't see well in our area.
For the price of the borehole, some charge N700,000 but the cheapest is N300,000. People are not ready to give water, no government water and nobody is selling water we beg to get buckets of water.
There was a day we bought 3 litres of fuel and gave our neighbor to put in their generator so that we can fetch one drum of water, they returned the fuel and gave us 3 buckets of water and lock their tap.
Haa, water is very important, if my neighbors are pumping their water and is wasting away, I always feel bad honestly.

samjades:
Building a house in Nigeria is a marathon, but many people sprint the first 100 meters and collapse. If you’ve ever seen a "half-done" building with weeds growing inside the parlor, you’re looking at a dream that outran its budget.

Why Most Nigerians Run Out of Money Halfway Through Building Their House

The "Finish-to-Finish" Trap: Why Your Budget is Lying to You

We’ve all seen them. The "skeleton" houses scattered across Ikorodu, Mowe-Ibafo, or the outskirts of Abuja. Roofless, windowless, and abandoned for years.

Many people start with ₦20M in the bank, thinking they’ll be moving in by December. By June, they are struggling to buy a single bag of cement. As a professional in this field, I see the same mistakes repeated every single day.

If you don't want your house to become a "monument" for goats and weeds, here is why your money might disappear halfway:

1. The "Spirit of Finishing" vs. The Reality of Rough Work
Most Nigerians budget for the "structure"—blocks, sand, cement, and roofing. They forget that finishing is where the real money lives.

The Reality: The carcass (foundation to roofing) usually takes about 40–50% of the budget.

The Trap: Tiling, POP, electrical wiring, plumbing, and painting take the other 50–60%. People get excited when the roof goes up, thinking they are "almost done," only to find out they haven't even started spending the big money.

2. Soil Blindness (The Foundation Money-Pit)
Many builders refuse to do a proper soil test because it costs ₦150k–₦1M. They prefer to "estimate."
Then they start digging.
Suddenly, they realize the ground is swampy or too soft. What was supposed to be a simple strip foundation becomes a Raft Foundation or Piling. Boom! Your budget just increased by ₦5M before the first block was even laid.

3. The "OWO Omo-Onile" and Community Tax
If you don't factor in "settlement," your project will stop. From "signing of documents" to "foundation fee," "decking fee," and "roofing fee," these community levies can drain hundreds of thousands that were never in the spreadsheet.

4. Material Inflation and the "Naira Factor"
In Nigeria, the price of cement in the morning isn't always the price in the evening.

2024–2025 Lessons: We saw cement jump from ₦9,000 to ₦13,000+ in some areas within months.

Iron Rods: Don't even get me started on the price of T12 or Y16 rods.
If you aren't buying your materials in bulk or at least "locking in" prices with trusted suppliers, inflation will eat your project alive.

5. The "God Will Provide" Construction Strategy
This is the biggest killer. People start building a 5-bedroom duplex when they only have the money for a 3-bedroom bungalow, hoping that "more money will come" while the project is on.
Construction doesn't care about your faith; it cares about your cash flow. If the money stops, the cement hardens, the wood rots, and the rain washes away your efforts.

How to Avoid Being a "Halfway Builder"
Use a Quantity Surveyor (QS): Stop using your "trusted mason" to estimate costs. Get a professional Bill of Quantities (BOQ). It will tell you the exact number of bags, rods, and trips of sand you need.

Build in Phases: If you don't have the ₦50M+ needed for a full build, start with a "Pay-As-You-Go" approach. Finish the foundation, let it rest. Save up. Do the blockwork.

Prioritize Function over Luxury: You can move into a house with basic tiles and "all-white" paint. You don't need the most expensive Italian marble or gold-plated chandeliers on day one.

On-Site Security: Theft is a silent budget killer. Bags of cement and electrical wires have "legs" on Nigerian sites. If you aren't there or don't have a solid security plan, you’re buying materials for the whole neighborhood.

What about you? What’s the biggest "unforeseen" expense you’ve faced while building? Let's discuss below.
It is not easy, I am thinking of how to clear the weed in our parlor because I don't want snakes to hide there, we are already living in one of the rooms.
To get light is not easy, we have been living there for the past two years without light, the community are demanding N280,000 before we can take light. People are not giving water,I think it's because of the high charges on light before somebody can give you bucket of water, you have to beg and borehole drilling is N300,000 and you will use light to pump water it now looks as if life is hard.

FamilyRe: My Sister Escape Murder From Her Husband's House by Telltruth123: 3:24pm On Apr 15
VERTEX1:
My sister married her husband in 2016, after giving birth in 2017 to their first child; male child, he started physically maltreating her till this year 2026. My sister birth all their four kids through caesarean section. She later went through another section in 2024 December which is umbilical hernia, this condition resulted from frequent domestic abuses she received from her husband. He beats her, punches her as if she is his mate even in pregnancy, he uses both cane and wire to flog her, he talks to her in the most demeaning way, always accuses her of sleeping with men and telling their neighbours many bad things about his wife, that she is way ward and does not care for their kids, but those people will later be telling my sister what he says out of pity, because they have seen how she suffers in the marriage always carrying the kids everywhere and taking care of them. My sister is the type that always have good mind and emotionally soft, psychologically she is phlegmatic.

I am very heartbroken typing this, i have tried to drag my sister out of the marriage but she eventually went back on several occasions, telling me that "he will change, for the sake of these children".
We have tried to settle the matter countless times, involving him and both his family but still they couldn't do anything. It is not that he is rich, but he is weather than his brothers, beside they're jealous of him and want him to fail.

Continue from next page, please moderator help me to position for the help I need.
Honestly, I find this story hard to believe because how can somebody hate herself so much.
