Neche207: hi guys, please I need to verify this. I got an admission for September 2026 last month and I was given a pal this month which is to expire on the 31st of this month, a friend told me that I need to make use of the pal quickly else if it expires without using it, I won’t get another one. Please how true is this for NBCC student because I am still in the preparation process, I am still gathering document and not ready to rush the submission My brother is in a similar situation. The school is trying to used up their 2025 quota. If you have your documents ready to submit a strong application before month end, go for it. Otherwise I would advise you wait. The school would send give another PAL once they have their 2026 quota. They sent a mail on this. |

Nuellabeauty: Good evening everyone, please can someone shed more light on this refusal:
Thank you for your interest in working in Canada. After careful review of your work permit application and supporting documentation under the International Mobility Program, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that your spouse has provided sufficient proof of funds to support your family’s stay in Canada. Additionally, I am not satisfied you have sufficient funds to support your stay in Canada. Refused under R200(1)(b)
Showed 20m as POF,all lump sum in the account explained Sorry for your refusal, mind sharing your family size? what portion of the 20m was in your account and your spouse account |

samfrancis1: A working visa You will not/ MIGHT not be denied any visa category because of Hep B. However, it will be flagged once you are in Canada ( Any blood work will flag it ) and be sent to a specialist. Just make sure you start seeing a doctor even now. You are fine will and will be fine. I think you should have read my message clear enough before sending this to me. You will notice i was not assertive and open to correction incase I was wrong. You will also see that when Ednut clarified, I appreciated it.
I don't think this your message is necessary. I will pass on this one. Cheers |

olasubomy: Exactly, I am not sure Canada has taxing rights over the income a Nigerian Citizen earns in Nigeria while resident in Nigeria. Also, when the person had no physical presence in Canada for the fiscal year, I am not sure of the basis for a newbie to file taxes in Canada at the same time of arrival.
I may be wrong and open to correction, but I think that’s the position of the law When not sure of something, avoid using some words, It makes the person sharing the correct info ignore your messages. |

legionISproteus: How does this matter? Are you going pay tax in Canada for money you earned in Nigeria?
I don't know much about taxes There is a difference between declaring how much you earn and paying taxes on same amount. Thank you, @ednut1 and miolad20 for throwing more light on the process. |

Flakeyy: Okay. Thank you. Do we need to file our taxes to apply for Child benefits? No. You will need to declare how much you earned in the last year in your country of residence. Apply as soon as you land. It takes three months to process. |

Kindly assist why not apply for SOWP ?.. VO sees you as a potential immigrant. #myopinion Order your gcms note to have a good insight to why the VO think you ties in Canada outweigh your ties to your home country. |

Efeosa5: Hello house ,
Please, I need guidance. I want to apply for a visit visa to see my sis-a PR who's about to give birth(she needs the help) and I want to know how to go about it.
Please if u have been successful in this area, could you enlighten me on the documents to submit? I'd really appreciate all response Thank you How about Mum making the trip if your sister really need the help. Mum has better chance than you in getting the visa. That said, you can give it a shot. Before then, answer the following question truthfully in your mind. No need to post answer here. 1. Why would you want to help a sister when mum is still alive. ( Forget the visa if mum still dey) 2. Are you married? with or without kids. ( This will help to prove social ties in your home country) 3. what is your economic situation in your home country( Proving Economic ties : are you working for not). 4. How many Months of help do you thing your sister would need and do you thing its worth leaving your family and work for? Well, depending on how those questions strikes, You can tell you sister to get a letter from her Gynaecologist stating how badly she need help during and after delivery of her baby. The letter should include your details. Then submit with other document ( Employment letter, Bank statement, Landed properties, Pictures of your family, birth certificate proving you share same parent(s)and a strong Letter of Explanation) to prove your ties to your home country. Your chance is SLIM but you can try. |

KoinsOfLagos: If you find please share
I have the same issue
Are you going to TRU? There is Housing crisis generally in Kamloops. You might need to check into hotels/motels for few months( you can also share with other students) . Then take it from there. Sometimes in August, TRU application to provide Temp accommodation for students was rejected by the city of Kamloops. Reason being the proposed unit will not meet the BC building code. Bring a lot of cash. Rent in Kamloops rivals that of the coast. Welcome to Canada's Tournament Capital. |

From there, I went for the Covid test since I was selected and when I was done there, I was free to go. I wasn't asked to be quarantined since I was fully vaccinated and presented no Covid symptoms. When I got out of the airport, the cold breeze welcomed me so I rushed back into the airport and waited patiently for my host to come pick me up.
It's been good so far and my classes are still online so I am still enjoying staying at home. Thanks to everyone that has contributed on this platform, I learnt a lot from here. Congrats to those who have received their PPR and to those still expecting, may it end in praise for you. Amen!!![/quote]Congratulations... You never see cold.. Wait till real WINTER comes |

A PR submitted an online TRV application for her dad from within Canada (Dad is not in Canada). The IRCC account is for the dad but the payment and submission were done from within Canada. Would there be a problem since the submission was from within Canada? Thank you. No.. you are good |

Berle: Hello All
I was reading about getting a Canadian drivers license with a Nigerian one and I found out that I'll need a driving history letter from FRSC and my driving records should also indicate a driving experience of minimum of 2 years. Here's the issue, I'm just about starting the process of getting a driver's license and it's not possible to have 2 years as at when I'll move hopefully. Can someone confirm this or advise on the way forward. Should I just abort the process of getting a drivers license here since my driving history or license date won't be up to 2 years anyway? Please advise. Thank you. Get the Nigerian License, It will at least allow you to drive here for 3-6 months depending on province. However, since you will not be having a driver's record of 1-2years to qualify for waivers, I am afraid you will have to start from scratch in Canada |
