There is no cause for alarm. If you read carefully, these weren't even asked to be uploaded. IRCC can easily validate your IELTS through your TRF, same goes for ECA through some certain number which you have entered during filling of the form. I think people are just uploading those out of the abundance of caution. If I were in your shoes, I won't be distressed. In case they need further info as per these, you'll be notified though this is very unlikely as your complete form has the information required. Hope this helps.

It's been a while. I have to respond to this. You will get his application rejected on R10. Please for the person that forgot to upload his ECA or IELTS, please raise a web form and upload those document.

All the best to everyone in this journey

This post is educational and informative.

But I'll like to know, at what pace does the earth rotate and who or what is turning it around to keep it rotating?

If you mean the speed at which the earth rotates around the sun, it is about 1674km/hr. It is relatively a high speed. Consider a commerical jet speed at about 900km/hr, that is fast eh. To what keeps it rotating, the sun gravitational pull. The sun gravitational pull puts all the plannets in our galaxy around there orbit. To put this in perspective. Put down a bowl of water, look for a turning stick and stir the water from the middle of the bowl, now Look for a table tennis and drop it near the edge of the bowl. If you stir the water fast enough, ball will keep moving around the bowl along the same path as long as the water keeps moving around and will eventually come to the center of the stir. Unfortunately, the sun gravitational pull is becoming weaker on our Earth and in some billions of years (not sure) the earth will drift away. Dont be scared, we will not be here to witness it.

We all know that. Thats the reason for the 1/4 or leap year. However while explaining to people that have no idea you make it simple.

Meant no harm sir. Just that when it comes to science, it is better to teach complex things accurately using simple method. That way, when they learn, it is a fact. Imagine the school teacher of the other the lady who said the Sun is our only source of light in the whole universe. This teacher might have said that in the spirit of oversimplification. By the way, not all people like you admitted know about how we came about the leap year!
Science/Technology / Re: Why Do Countries Have Different Time Zones? by Temas: 5:21pm On Dec 27, 2020
Kinematics:

The earth rotates horizontally not vertically on its axis, while rotating it revolves around the sun.

Rotation causes day and night while revolution causes year.

The earth uses 24hrs to make a complete rotation, while it uses 365days or 366 days to revolve round the sun.

The sun does not rotate, rather the earth does.

Again the earth doesn't use 24 hours to complete a rotation on its axis. In fact, the approximate time is said to be 23hrs 56minutes and few seconds. We rounded it up to 24hrs just to make the math easier. However, using the 24hrs metric, we overshot the real natural calendar. This is the reason we have to reset it every four years. " The leap year"

Okay, OP, let me teach you in primary school tone and voice.

My instructional material is a flashlight (touch) and a spherical globe containing map of the world. For easier understanding, take the materials to a dark room where the only source of light is the touch light.

Now, the touch represents the sun and should be kept on a chair at one corner of the room. The sun is the only source of light in the whole universe. The moon and stars merely reflect rays of light from the sun. The sun does not move at all. It is stationary and shines constantly without stopping. So, in this dark room, keep the touch light shining at one place towards the globe without offing it.

Back to the globe, make it stand constantly on the south pole with Australia near it, while the North Pole is constantly upside with Siberia, Alaska and Northern Russia close to it.

Now, set the globe in such a way that the light is shining directly on the map of Nigeria on the globe. In real world, that happens around 12pm in Nigeria. Other countries on the same line (latitude) with Nigeria, such as Italy, Libya, Tunisia, Niger, Germany, etc have their 12pm at the same time. So, it is said that they are on the same time zone.

At this same time, countries and areas directly behind Nigeria on the other side of the globe will have their 12am (i.e. Mid night) because the light from the touch (sun) can not reach them.

The earth rotates anti-clockwise on its axis (meaning that it turns round and round slowly on the South Pole side). So, we turn our globe so that the touch light now shines directly on the map of Ghana, Mali, UK, Spain, etc . In reality, it takes the earth complete 1 hour to make this turn. So, the time zone around the world would have changed by 1 hour. Time in Nigeria becomes 1pm when Ghana has 12pm, At this same time, Senegal would be having 11am. The earth and time continue to move until Nigeria will reach behind the light, which is night. At 12am (mid night) in Nigeria, some countries facing the sun will have their mid day. It takes 24 hours for the earth to rotate completely on its axis. That is what we call one day.

Also, the earth revolves around the sun. That means it continues moving, apart From rotating, until it has gone round the sun. This takes 365 and one quarter days to complete. That is one year.

I hope you all understand today's lesson.

Just to correct some stuff. The sun is not the only object with light in the whole universe. In fact the sun is a star in the milky way galaxy ( our galaxy) there are other stars out there just like the sun. The sun will die one day just like the other stars had.

Please I have some questions I have searched the whole of google for guidance wasnt satisfied with what I saw till I saw this comment

A. How long does it take for the preparatory courses? I am looking at a career change I have a bsc in mass comm and msc in History which means I'd have to take about prerequisites courses

B. What's the range of the school fees

C. Do you any idea of schools that offer this prerequisites in Nanaimo, BC

D. Can I work and study (prerequisites courses).

I will really appreciate your response I just need guidance

Speaking for Northern BC.

C . Prerequisite courses can be taken online. Check with the school district in your city, they should offer them for free.
Try ebus.ca ( Though they are in northern bc, they might register you for free. You must be a resident of BC). I will also advise you check with the school offering the program to know how many courses you will have to take. Anatomy and Physiology ( Biology 12), English 12, Math(12) and (Chemistry 12) are the major ones.

D. Depending on the nature of work, yes it is possible. Not to scare you but those Prerequisites course carry muscle ooo. The biology 12 for example is like year one biology in Nigeria University. Most school will require you to have 72-75% before you can get admitted. Nursing degree is also very competitive, so you might want to have a better grade to increase your change of getting admitted.

Again this is for northern BC. I hope it helps.

Hello...Firstly, look beyond Edmonton. You just landed, where you eventually find work will be your home for the main time. Secondly, check requirement for a desktop support roles, try to get some certifications ( CompTIA A+ and N+) will be a good place to start also try and get your Class 5 as early as possible, most support role will require you to do certain % of driving/travelling. Update you LinkedIn Profile that will also help. Most of the interviews I got were from LinkedIn. Good Luck.

Did a crazy drive for a friend who had an interview in BC last year. I had to drive him from Calgary immediately after class in the morning on Tuesday for an interview he had on Wednesday and we had to return immediately after the interview. The party of BC where one could drive the long bridge at 120km/hr with those ditches was scary. Was driving about 140 though. My pain was that he did not get the job.

Yea, please always take rest between long drives. BC has a lot of mountains/Hills with side ditches. Try also not to travel at night cos of wildlife. May Almighty bless our hustles

Well, you can include her now in your PR application and write an LOE saying you might have missed her out in you family information section of the visit visa in 2017.

Hello Seniors

I am in the Post ITA phase abt to submit my application however I ve a concern concerning my family application NOTE my hubby is the principal applicant

I applied to for a visit visa To Canada with my one year old son then in 2017 but was refused

So filling the Family information now I can’t recollect if I filled my step siblings back then in the family information form I used for visit visa in 2017. Seems I am almost sure I didn’t add her

So I am just stuck in this Information part as I wld love to add her now as per this is the final chance to add any blood relations

The Laptop I used back then all information lost.

I checked and searched on this thread and found @veritas explained how to retrieve forms and already submitted application info, that is “ replacing documentsToSubmit.do with applicationChecklist.do and hit enter.” but it’s not showing me access to download the forms . All of the sections are greyed out except the section for the visit visa form and the family info form but when I clicked at the family info form it was blank “

I am quite confused I can’t request GCMS note now to confirm what I filled as there is no time I am submitting latest tomorrow

Oh could it be that I am just over worrying myself probably visit visa application shldnt be use to determine PR application even though they ve all in their data base . I don’t want any flimsy thing that will affect this application God forbid Kindly assist knowledgeable seniors

1. lets get this right.. Are these "step siblings" related to you by blood? ( same father or mother).. for your information you can only add siblings that you have a dad or mom in common " in fact that the the meaning of siblings". Any other extended family are not included.

2. Is/Are this/ these "step siblings" in canada?

3. All visa you have ever applied for "either canada or any other country" can have an effect on the decision of your PR application with Canada. As such, they must all be declared if you were denied. Not doing so is a ground for mis-interpretation and subjected to 5 years ban!

I think u understand the situation best, and I really I understand the reasons better now from your point of view, infact its logical. But I taught stating that she will be staying for a year first and only doing her insurance for one year should count as something,Because the only reason I did one year insurance is to buttress the point that she will be leaving by the end of Feb 2021 as stated. I am definitely going to reapply for the super visa am just confused about using the same documents with a strong letter of explanation OR ...... I don't know . Thanks a lot, I feel better now, all I need to do is restrategize but my brain isn't even coming up with nada.

Thanks all, I really appreciate your effort. Y'all are the real MVP

I will still advise you apply for tourist visa ( visitors's visa) .Hopefully she can get more than one year validity or up to her passport expiration ( you will need her to help with the new born, you can also get a letter from you family doc/gynea to bolster reason for inviting her over) . You can then extend her stay here in Canada by applying for extension. My mum was given just ONE YEAR on her visa though multiple entry, i am going to apply for GCMS note once she land.. i need to know the reason for that.

It doesn't matter. My mum aplied for a visit visa with no travel history. Did you state a distinct and convincing purpose of visit?

she applied for a Super Visa ( this visa terms are quite different from visitor's visa)..... besides, no two application are same. I applied for my Mum too with no travel history, she got the Visa but only 1 year validity.

Hi...am Zeenat and am new here. My family(my husband, my kids nd) relocated to Canada last year may as pr. In January i filed for my mums super visa online. Submitted on the 1st of jan. Got a biometrics letter on the 2nd, biometrics was completed on the 6th of jan. But her application was rejected today.
Reasons:
1) the v.o wasn't satisfied she would return back to home country because of her travel history.
2) because of family ties in Canada and Nigeria.
I will put to bed in a few weeks/days time. Please how can I reapply as soon as possible, and what documents do I need to prove the stated reasons otherwise . Thanks

It is very Unfortunate.... I think the Super Visa application is a long shot for someone who has not travel out of the country before ( Reason 1), and for the fact that the visa will allow her stay up to 2 years in Canada nullifies her Tie to Nigeria ( Reason 2).

My 2 cent.. apply again but this time for Visitors Visa. After one or two visits, apply again for the Super Visa.

I hope you are working and your family income is more than the requirement. Congratulations in Advance for the new born.

Red flag all over this.. Fiance you said? Again you are financing the trip. Your best bet, go back home and put ring on that finger; then go through the spouse sponsorship program. she will be here within 14 months if you have a good Job here.
