It's about time this thread existed,a lot will benefit from it. Had my interview for family reunion over three years ago,the only thread about Germany on nairaland existed for the students visa. .
One thing I'd like to add though,it's great if you can learn the basic deutsch (A1) before one gets to Deutschland. Goethe Institute in Lagos teaches deutsch. There are a lot of start up technology companies in Berlin that are looking to employ foreign talents. If you have the skills you can start searching and applying for jobs online, like I got mine on Xing.com but there are job portals like [url]berlinstartupjobs.com[/url] and you can search on Google for jobs in Berlin.

It is important not to give up when you get rejection mails from one or two companies these things happen but keep on applying as there are so many other companies that will like your profile.

Be truth to your words since you are a teacher they would know that you have some ties which means you would come back and teach student however the issue might be your salary.

They hardly check your account balance docs and the other documents that your present so bro don't stress. Check your DS160 form very well make sure you have filled enough info to convince the consular. Your DS160 and interview is your Key

Thanks I just read but this is for renewal but I'm not renewing my Visa as I have a Visa already. She is just about to apply for her Visa.

Also her passport still bears her maiden name but we have a marriage certificate that bears that shows evidence.

I already have my Us Visa and have Travelled to the United states twice and some other countries and spent just three weeks on each trips for work related but I want to take my Wife on a vacation to the united states.

Since I have my Visa and I wrote her name as my wife while I was applying Should I reapply with her (I still have my visa valid ) or just give her my passport as supporting document and she can say I wanna take her out on vacation.
