Glad I eventually found this thread after going though 9 parts and didn't get an answer for what I am looking for.

I am an ATS ICAN holder and wish to evaluate the qualification since I am told it is equivalent to a diploma in canada. Please is there anyone here who has successfully evaluated their ATS ICAN successfully. Can you advise on the steps you took and how you were able to go about it.

It is a minimum requirement for FSW program. You need to at least have one full year work experience in any of those NOC categories as at when you apply.

The right meaning is the statement in red above.

Even if you have only spent 3 months on your current job and resign today, so long as between 2010 and 2020 you have at least one year continuous (non-stop) work experience, you should be eligible, provided the other conditions e.g. hours, pay etc, are met. You may even have been unemployed for the last 6 years, no issues.

Hi guys. Can someone help me provide further clarification on the requirements below, with more emphasis on what the statement - "at least one year continuous work experience" represents

*Skilled Work Experience; You need to have at least one year continuous, full-time (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) or equivalent part-time work experience in an occupation that is NOC A, B or 0, in the past 10 years*

Does the word "continuous" as mentioned above mean that an applicant must currently be in the employment of his/her primary NOC which must be at least 1year as at the time of creating EE profile?

Or does it mean that the applicant can use any 1year or more work experience in the last 10 years to be eligible

The reason why I'm asking this question is that one can resign his/her present job at anytime for a better offer, while still being in the EE process. I hope the word "continuous" doesn't mean that the person has to wait and spend atleast 1 year in this new job to be eligible for the EE.

I got some money from my mom. To this effect, I have a notarised Deed of Gift, A bank Transfer Teller from my mom and electronic evidence from the bank to the effect of the transfer.

Wes said they sent mine yesterday ICAN is saying they are yet to receive, that they haven’t been receiving emails from WES lately meanwhile Wes says they sent them emails. A number of people have complained. I was told to call back next week Friday as they’re trying to come up with another platform to send and verify transcripts electronically.

Just wanted to find out if anyone was in the same shoes as me.

I reached out the professional and ATS department of ICAN and they confirmed to me that they didn't receive any verification mail from WES. I used the CONTACT US to reach WES and they responded that the verification was actually sent. Please can anyone advice on what to do here, as I don't even know the next step to take. Thanks

This same thing happened to me and had to wait 7 weeks for WES to resend the transcript verification request. The thing is WES usually sends their verification requests to the professional arm of ICAN and not the ATS arm. So the professional arm is usually expected to forward the verification request to the ATS arm for response when received. But due to the high volume of requests received, they usually miss forwarding some of them to ATS. If you can reach out to the transcript unit of the professional arm, they would check for it and forward to the ats arm for treatment. If you are in lagos, pay them a visit

Please I got a mail from WES stating that my transcript verification has been sent to the institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria ( for my ATS evaluation) both electronically and via postal mail. I got the mail from WES like 3 weeks ago. I reached out to the institute and they confirmed that they have not received any verification from WES. Please advice on what to do next guys. Thanks

From previous posts on this platform, I learnt that WES has been rejecting transcripts delivered via courier while accepting only electronic transcripts from ETX NG.

If this is the case, please what is the procedure of sending a clear and legible copy of degree certificate/diploma to WES. Should this be sent via courier or it has to go through etx NG as well
