EPISODE SIX[part two] **** As many often say, a man without a problem is a problem to the world, Frank had been down because he felt he had made a huge mistake. At first, he knew there was no one to replace Vivian, yet he sacked her. Though, he was no longer concerned if Vivian had given birth before, all he wanted was to send Anthony abroad so that he could get married to Vivian. He accelerated slowly as he took his eyes off the track periodically, just to check on Gregory who was accompanying him. He kept sighing, hoping Vivian would accept him as he drove on, but on the other hand, he didn't want her son. He finally came down at the front of the house, striking his beard as he leaned against his car and waited for Greg to park. He stared at the building until Gregory got to his side. "Let's go in." He tapped him. "Very well." He smiled and led the way. **** Craig couldn't control his happiness as he hugged Doris. "What really happened?" He asked, holding her two hands. "I don't even know, I can't say what happened precisely." She replied him, trying to pull her right hand, she was feeling some pain, probably because it was strained and tied. "Sorry." Craig helped her pull the hand and smiled. "My thought had gone wild, I have been searching for you. But, I still don't understand this. Is this the work of Chief Sam?" Doris swooshed out a long breath and found her voice again. "I can't tell, but I have a strong feeling that he was the one." "In this kingdom, if there's no evidence, one can't be jailed." He muttered, hissing as he took his face away. Doris smiled. "If he was the one, you should know surely that he would he caught someday." Craig smiled too. "But how did he investigation go with him?" "I have this feeling that his hands aren't clean, he has a lot to do with the death of the couple." Craig sighed. "His reactions, right?" "Yes. Even the way he kept speaking, he was just blabbing as If he wasn't moved." "Though, some people are just like that. But, one shouldn't be that way when it comes to investigation. You should get some rest, I will get to the root of this matter, I won't rest until the people who have done this are caught!" Doris smiled. "I trust you, team mate." Craig grinned. "But, there's one thing I forgot.. who helped? How did you escape?" Doris looked away. Nicholas? She had thought, breathing heavily. **** "Good evening, we want to see Vivian." Frank told Anthony as he opened the gate. "Good evening, Sirs." He smiled. "Thanks, we want to see Vivian." Frank repeated. "Vivian?" Who bears the name?" He enquired. "A beautiful lady with her son." Gregory replied. Anthony smiled. "What are your names? Let me go and tell my mum." "Mum? Are you her son?" Frank asked quickly. He smiled. "Yes, I am." Frank hissed faintly. "Alright. Tell her Frank, her boss is here." "You're mum's boss? I am coming." He shut the door and rushed into the house. **** "I don't know the person, he didn't remove the cloth used to block my view till he drove away." Doris replied Craig. "That guy must have guts. Those that kidnapped you can't be ordinary people, how come he did everything successfully?" Craig wondered. "He was a brave man. I am sure he tried to trick the men before he took me away. By the way, I think he was the one who shot one of the men at the first house I was taken to." She said, still trying to link events. "So you've been taken to a place at first?" Craig asked. "Yes, I was taken to a house. But, there was a rebel between the guys and probably the person who helped me, so I was vacated." "You still never heard a name, not even one?" Craig enquired. She thought for a while before she remembered. "I heard when one of them made a call and said his fellow named Mark had been shot." She said. Craig heaved a sigh of relieve. "Alright, let me go and drop you off." "Thanks." Doris smiled and stood slowly. "My concern is just how the person who helped you got to know what was happening." **** Vivian's eyes widened as she heard Frank's name. "Why on earth did you open the gate for a stranger?" She questioned Anthony. "I only opened it to see the faces of the men." Anthony sat down throwing a gaze at his mother. She frowned. "Have I not told you that you shouldn't open the gate without knowing the people at the gate? You won't learn that!" "Mum, did you resign? What is your boss doing here?" Anthony asked. She hissed and stood up. "Don't ask me any question because you've annoyed me by opening that gate. Once you enquire about the person at the door, you should always come back to tell me!" Anthony smiled. "Alright mum." He replied. Vivian wiped her forehead as she took some steps and walked out of the living room to check on Frank. She opened the gate and wore a frown as she stared at him. "Good evening." She greeted, placing her right hand on the gate. "I'm happy you came out to meet me." Frank smiled. "I'm sorry concerning my reaction, I came to apologize." He said as he glimpsed a his friend. "Yeah, that's what we came for, please forgive him." Gregory cut in. Vivian smiled. "I am not angry, if I was angry I wouldn't come out." "That's nice to hear, when will you now return back to your duty post?" Vivian tilted her head. "Duty post? Immediately I left the company, my husband got me a work in his company." She smiled. "Husband?" Frank repeated, widening his eyes. "Yes, you know I have given birth, don't you? So, my husband got me a new job." "But you have never told the company about your marital status as married." Frank said, looking disappointed. "We just got back together." She replied. "Oh, thanks." Greg pulled Frank as they left and Vivian shut the door. **** "She did what?" Chief Sam's phone dropped on the floor as he quickly reached for it again. "Just don't tell me that girl escaped." He sunk into his seat as he swallowed, covered with sweat as if a glass cup was covered with mist. "You are all dead!" He shouted as he stood again, ready to leave the company. **** Nicholas kept grinning on his seat as he confirmed that Chief had received the shocking call from his friends. He was glad he could manage to get Doris away from him. He cleared his throat as he picked up his eye glasses. "I will finish my business with this man, tomorrow." He said, contorting his mouth with a smile. "Thank you God." He was getting afraid to approach Doris, though, he knew she didn't see him, but he knew she might suspect he was the one. He stood up and placed his iPad inside the wardrobe. Then, he change his dress and walked out of the house. The weather was cool, the wind was blowing in with a fast velocity, carrying particles along. He looked into the sky and smiled to himself. "It's going to rain." He said as he rushed back inside to shut his windows and headed to Doris' place to check if she had returned back home. He walked slowly, enjoying the breeze and the scene of the children trying to pack their things into the house because of the rain. He was looking around till he got near the house and saw Doris as she came down from Craig's car. He smiled and walked closer. "Doris!" He called and rushed closer. "Craig, a wonderful evening to you." He extended his hand for an handshake from him. "Yeah, how was the day?" "It was nice, thanks." He grinned and waved at him. "You should get going, it will start raining." "Thanks, Doris take good care of yourself and call me instantly, if there's any problem." Craig waved at Doris. "Alright, thanks." Doris waved back and turned to Nicholas. "How are you?" Nicholas just smiled, masking his feelings well. "I'm really good, you?" "I was kidnapped today." She informed as she opened the door amd both of them walked in. "Don't tell me! What happened? Hope you weren't beaten? What really happened?" He quickly asked, making his surprise well known. "So you never knew I was kidnapped." Doris smiled and motioned further. "How would I know? Tell me, what happened?" He enquired, trying as much as possible to improve his pretense. "I can't tell, but I suspect Chief Sam." She replied. "Chief Sam?" He asked, taking his eyes off her for a moment, pretending as if he wanted to remember who Chief Sam was. "Ooh.. I think I now know the man. What happened between you both? Why would he try to kidnap you?" "I went for investigation, then I left the company. As I was going, the taxi that carried me was crossed and before raising my head to know what was really happening, I was taken away." "I trust Craig, he was the one who came to help you, right?" "No, I don't know the person. But, one thing I just suspect is that... the person wore the exact perfume you do use. When he carried me, the height I noticed, even though I was blindfolded, was just like your height." Nicholas froze. **** |

EPISODE SIX It was the cessation of his plans already. Kicking the bucket is what people hear everyday, to pass through it is what a lot fear. His hysteria of death but he had promised himself if he would die just to get the evil men, so be it. He wished his own type would be nonidentical to others, but it seemed there was becoming a great gulf between his desiderate and what was coming. Even though he didn't know the lady that was kidnapped, he didn't bother to listen to the previous conversations before he took the bold step, and made his way into the house, he knew he would be happy he saved a life. He hated spilling blood, did reaffirm his faith and strength everytime, but it seemed all had ended as there was the loud gunshot when he was mounting on the fence. Oh God! He missed his target. He toppled down the floor and held on to his thigh as he rushed to his car and sped away. Though, the mission was unable to be accomplished, he knew he would kick butt and kick up his heels another time. **** Doris that had been tied to the wooden chair in the room Nicholas was about to enter had been thinking on what could be happening. Millions of thoughts ran through her mind on the seat as her mouth was plastered so she wouldn't shout and her eyes tied round with a rag so that she wouldn't have the chance to see. Her confortless state had started causing her some pains. If she had known, she would have sorted out a secret code with Craig. But, what would the code do? Her bag had been taken away and she had been tied already. She couldn't hit the nail by the head, she wasn't sure of what must have happened within that short period. She began to wonder if she was safe at all, crying because she never told her sister a goodbye. She kept hearing the groans of the guy Nicholas shot before he ran away, was that Craig? She wondered as she kept her head low, abysmal in thought. Soon, the other guard bestired upstairs to save his fellow. Then, he called chief to tell him what was happening. "That house isn't safe any longer, we have to vacate her out of that house. You have to start investigating too, I'll send my other guys to come and meet you." "Mark is dying, Sir" "That's not my burden. Whoever can't shield himself well should be left to die with his foolishness. Will you stay with him or save yourself?" "What's the next step?" "Take her to my second house, then, you and Mark can go there to stay for a while. I will return soon." He told him and ended the call. He didn't care if any of his guards died, all he was after was about protecting himself and his selfish desires. **** Nicholas thudded down the bed as his heart beat rapidly that he felt he would die that minute. His thoughts had gone wild before he discovered the guy missed his target. But, that was just a narrow escape, he surmised within himself as he held his thigh again and groaned. He had hurt himself and the shock, excruciating him badly. He rolled over to the other edge of the bed and glommed his iPad to continue listening to Chief Sam's discussions. He was unable to listen till he got home, because of his shock and fear that he might be trailed. He didn't hear anything and removed the earphones resentfully. "His guys must have called him." He breathed heavily, his pulse was still on race and his system was still preternatural. "I'm still working on just a person, I am getting six of them." He sighed and sat up. "But who's this lady?" He started soliloquising as he remembered how he shot the guard. "I will try as much as possible not to kill anyone, I will just keep on hurting you for your bad deeds." He had gotten a new job now, listening to Chief Sam's discussions. He fixed the earphones back to his ears and sprawled on the bed again. **** Craig was beginning to get worried. He had called her mobile number severally but she hadn't picked any of her calls. He stood quickly when he suspected that she might be involved in an accident or if Chief had tried to kidnap her. He wouldn't do that, he told himself as he walked out of the office and received a parcel from the security man. It was sent from Nicholas to expose that Chief had kidnapped a lady. "Is the lady Doris?" He wondered for some minutes before entering into his car and drove off to Chief Sam's office to ask if he saw Doris earlier. He was suspecting how the person who sent the parcel got to know a lady was kidnapped by him and was suspecting Chief Sam likewise. He walked out of the company immediately Chief told Craig that Doris came but she left herself. He was getting more worried, rushing to the station to get a search warrant to seach chief's house. **** Nicholas got impatient on hearing the discussion between Craig and Chief Sam. He kept on wondering if it was Doris that was kidnapped or he heard the wrong thing. He stood up, parading the room in a deep thought as he quickly reached for the iPad again. Then, he heard some more discussions from Chief and confirmed Doris had been taken to his second house. He picked everything needed as he rushed out and hopped into his car. It was inside the car he remembered he didn't know the second house. He picked up his mobile phone and pulled a call across to Nancy, to ask if she knew about Chief's second house. He asked in a cunning way but Nancy didn't seem to know any other house apart from the house's address she gave to him. He hissed as he carried his iPad and placed it on his laps, driving out of the house. He kept listening till he almost got to Chief's company and parked some distance away from his car. He was ready to trail him. **** Craig approached his boss and told him about all that was going on. He wore a worried face as he stood before him, showing his grief. He approved the search warrant and gave him some guys to follow him to anywhere wished. His solicitude started growing for Doris' safety. That eased his heart as he rushed out and started getting everything ready. **** Nicholas was unable to hear anything from Chief again, because he had left the office. He never relented as he drove before the car, leaving a distance so that he wouldn't be noticed at all. Still on the trail, his phone beeped and he reached for fit quickly. "Nancy, what's happening?" He enquired, trying to keep the distance between the evil man and himself. "Let's go for dinner." Nancy informed him. Who told this one I'm in the mood for dinner? "I am working here, I'll get back to you if I can come." He replied and ended the quickly. He accelerated till he saw the bungalow Chief drove his car into and he halted. "I know I'm in trouble with him already, to win this night will be a serious problem. But, I can't leave Doris here, I can't!" He muttered as he came down and folded his mask inside his pocket and the gun. He peeked though the gate and cleared his throat. He saw some guards walking around. He motioned to the end of the fence and climbed it, still on guard as he tried his best. He jumped in when he saw the two guards discussing and walked to the back of the building stealthily, using his mask and bringing out his gun. He hid behind a tall tree there and waited for a while. He didn't know how to start, where to pass and how easy it would be. He just heard Chief's voice. "Kill anyone that you find." He turned around as he heard the gate being opened and Chief's car was driven out. He took some steps away from the tree and walked to the other side of the building, walking slowly until he found out that the guards inside had came outside to discuss with their fellows outside. He wasn't sure if it was all the guards that came outside, but he saw many of them outside, seated and discussing. He picked his phone and dialed Doris' mobile number, but it was off already. He didn't know where exactly he would pass because they were many in the compound. He also didn't know Craig's mobile number, he would have called him to get him informed about how things were going. He thought of an idea and smiled, rushing to the other side of the building and jumped out of the fence. He stood behind the fence, near the gate and threw stones at the gate. Then, he rushed back to the end of the fence and jumped inside the house again, watching the guards as their attention had fully been driven toward the gate. Just then, he had the oppurtunity to walk into the house quickly. He started opening rooms till he eventually found out the room where Doris was locked up and a piece of cloth tied around her face. He changed his voice to a huskier one as he approached her. He knew she would know he was the one as soon as he didn't fake his identity. "I came to save you." He said and carried her. If he should open her face, she would like to know the person and might even suspect him. He only untied her legs so she could walk as fast possible. Getting near the main door, he peeped and saw that the guards had walked outside to know who threw stones. He used the oppurtunity and pulled Doris along till they got to the end of the building, the only problem was how she would jump. He didn't want to untie her hands because she would remove the cloth tied round her head and suspect him. It was tough but he had to climb the fence and carried her as both fell down outside the fence. He carried her up quickly and told her to wait there till he confirmed if all was well. "This might be a trick, go and confirm if she's still in the room." He heard a voice and noticed they ran inside. He rushed back to Doris and carried her, both ran as quick as they could till they got to where he parked his car and he pushed her in, driving away. "It was a trick! She escaped." There was noise inside the house as they all rushed out again, but now with a leaflet of paper and all stared at it when they got outside. "The Unknown." They chorused. "Let's go after them!" **** Nicholas couldn't reply all Doris had been asking him, to know if he came to save her or to kill her as well. He kept neglecting her and her questions till he got to the front of Area F Station and dropped her quickly. "My name is the unknown." He told her before he sped off, to save his own life too. **** Frank and Gregory met at the agreed meeting point. Frank was worried that his worries might end up killing him. "Thanks buddy." He approached Greg and hugged him. "Let's get going, just come before me, till we get there." "Alright." Gregory replied and both hopped into their various cars to visit Vivian. **** |

EPISODE FIVE [part two] **** "Good afternoon, I'm Officer Doris." She spoke to the security man by the door of the company, opening her bag to bring out her identity card. She showed it and was allowed into the company. Walking slowly, she admired the beautifully painted company until she entered into Secretaries' office and flashed a smile to them. She introduced herself and picked a seat as she waited for Chief Sam to be called. After the call, the office was described to her and she walked as fast as possible, so as to beat he time. She was shocked on seeing guards by the door. Is this because he is a chief? She wondered as she smiled to the men. "I'd like to see Chief Sam." She informed and the door was opened. She walked in and her gaze hit that of Chief Sam. "You are really beautiful officer Doris." Chief Sam grinned as Doris approached her. "Thanks so much, Sir. I came for some investigations." She brought out her identity card and flashed it at him. "Officer Doris, Area F Station." "Just pick your seat." Chief Sam told her, resting his back on the swivel chair. She smiled and sat down. "I came in respect of the board of directors of Golden Ring Companies that were killed, Sir." "So, what's my own business? I feel sorry for them though, but at least it made us win the contract." He chuckled. Doris was mute, trying to read between the lines. He looked happy because of the death of the people just because of contract. "So, does it mean you should smile at the downfall of another person? Where were you when you heard that the directors were killed, Sir?" She enquired. "I was inside my office here, working. By the way, why are you interrogating me? Do I look like a criminal or do you have a warrant? " She grinned. "Just a little help from you, Sir. You were still working? It was past eight in the evening that were killed, according to report." Chief Sam dimmed his face. "I do.. don't know then!" He stuttered, taking his eyes off her. "You seem shocked and afraid. Where really were you?" "Why would I be shocked when I know I am not a criminal. A lady like shouldn't be doing all this, you should be by the side of someone like me so that I can make you feel what wealth is." "Excuse me, Sir. And, can I get to know how many board of directors does this company have?" "We are just eight, eight friends. By the way, you should think about my offer, ladies give in easily, don't let yours be different." "You were the one who lead the board of directors, right?" She enquired, trying to ruin his discussion about relationship. "Sure! You should know I have a lot of money." "What's the relationship with Golden Ring Companies? Were the deceased your friends?" "Why would useless people be my friend? They have always tried to ruin us, always tried to compete, that was why I dealt with them." "You dealt with them?" Her eyes widened. "Sure, by making this company win the huge contract. Don't think of anything else." Doris smiled. "No problem sir, I will get back to you." She walked out. "Guys!" Chief shouted. Some guys walked in quickly, bowing before him. "I don't know how I lost my temper, you must not let that girl go scot free, she now suspects something and besides she should always be by my side, soothing my bones every night." "Alright sir, what should we do?" "Kidnap her to my house and lock her inside an empty room. The two of you should be with her till I return back, a person who pokenoses is not meant to live." "Done, boss." The guys stormed out. **** Nicholas yawned as he stood up from the bed. He just woke up after an hour of sleep and glimpsed at the iPad. "I hope you haven't taken any move." He smiled as he brought out his mobie phone and called his friend, Henry. "Let's start making preparations for Prince's birthday, you know that will bring a lot of cash." He informed and ended the call. He picked up the earphones and started listening to Chief Sam's conversions in the office. Not quite long, he heard as Chief Sam made a call to ask if his guys had gotten the lady to his place and laughed wickedly. "What's he up to? Who's he after?" He wondered as he pulled the earphones out of his earsand whisked to his feet. "So far I am still living, no one around me will suffer." He said as he tightened his belt and walked to the wardrobe to pick up his mask. "From the look of things, he just kidnapped a lady. I should be able to help." He muttered under his breath, reaching for the gun he had snatched from one of Chief's men. "No matter what happens, I will help out and make this man suffer." He stepped out of the house with the mask his in his right hand and the gun, kept in his pocket. He carried his iPad with his right hand so as to continue listening to his conversations. Taking a sharp look around, he stepped into his car and drove out. The earphones were already stucked to his ears as he drove on, to save the lady who had been kidnapped. Soon, he halted behind the building and came down to have a close view behind the house. The house was as silent as a graveyard. It seemed no one was inside that house, but he knew something must be going on inside the house. He sighed, using the mask and the hand glove. He walked back to the car and locked it up before he jumped in, over the fence. He walked stealthily to the door at the backyard, where he passed the last time he came but met it locked. A twinge of disappointment went off in him as he turned around, looking around the house, if there was really no one. He brought out the gun in his pocket, walking near the scaffolding that was some distance behind him. He pressed his lips as he stood by the scaffolding and peeped to the other side of the house. Then, he heard a shout of ecstasy from inside and he stood alert. "Some guys are inside." He muttered as he advanced, taking some steps forward with short paces till he got to the a sliding window and he peeped inside the house. "Dining." He snorted, walking on till he got to the window of the living room and peeped. He could see the two guys on seat, laughing and discussing with each other. He continued walking stealthy till he got the garage of the house and met the roller shutter opened and a door that led inside the house. He cleared his throat softly as he rambled to the door, peeping through and saw it was a toilet. "This should be the visitors' restroom." He said as he opened the door and luckily, it opened. He walked inside and rushed to the door that linked to the main living room of the house. He unlocked the door as he met a key that was stucked inside, then walked into the living room. His eyes darting round the living room, he saw the small wine bar in a corner and quickly looked at the dining room which he saw earlier. He could hear the guys' voice from where he was, but he was sure they were still in the second living room. He took some steps to his left and peeped. He saw Chief Sam's room and raised his head up, turning around. He saw the staircase and rushed up there, still taking his steps slowly till he opened the door and walked into the living room upstairs. He saw different rooms there and wondered why Chief Sam had decided to use a room downstairs as his own room. "That room should be the guest room." He thought, still wondering. "That doesn't matter right now." He quickly turned around as if one of the guys was behind him. He started checking each room, if the lady he came for was there. He was already blinking under the mask he had hidden his face. As he got to the last room to open the door, the main door of the living room was opened and he turned around quickly. His eyes met with that of the guy that just walked in and he shot him by his leg quickly. The gunshot made the fellow guard downstair know something was going wrong already. He ran toward the guy who was already lying on the floor with the pain of his leg. He jumped over him and opened the door wider to rush downstairs, so as to escape. Still vigilant, he held the gun with his two hands, his eyes looking round like that of a child who was about to steal from the pot. He knew that the gunshot would have made the other guy notice something was wrong, but he was prepared for him. The guy had rushed out into the compound to check if someone was around. He was also with a gun that he pointed forward, turning around like a whirled stone. He had started hearing the groan of his fellow, upstairs. He knew even if it was still Doris that was at work, she would come down to pass where he was, and if it was another person, he was ready to capture. Soon, Nicholas got to the garage and rushed into the compound. He was heading toward the scaffolding while the guard was on the other side of the compound, walking toward the end of the compound to make a turning toward the scaffolding. Nicholas got to the backyard and was climbing on the fence when the guard got there and there was a loud gunshot. **** |

EPISODE FIVE [part one] NICHOLAS' EYES widened as the door flipped open, his whole self out of control because he felt he was running mad already, imagining what he would be like when Chief walked into the office. He had tried to enter a code earlier and he was caught and suspected, now once he entered, he would know he was a major spy and suspected if he hadn't come to Nicholas brought his hands together, trying to reaffirm his faith and strength as usual, but it seemed he had lost it, he felt like dying. As his eyes were as wide apart as that of a person's bow legs, and his lips shivering as if he had been out in the snow for days, he suddenly heard a shout. He then blinked as he noticed the guards by the door rushed away. He summoned courage and peeped outside, willing to know what must have happened. He then could see that chief just fell off the staircase and his guys who had opened the door earlier had gone to meet him. That means the guys didn't see me. He had muttered as he packed his phone, shivering and that, making the phone drop again. He picked it again, but this time, at once that he knew he was just being serious to save himself. He rushed outside and to the office described to him, wiping his sweat and oily face to make himself unnoticed. He waited for a while before he moved some steps to peep at the scene happening downstairs, where the chief had fell down to. He grinned, but still under the tension. Bringing out his phone, he switched it on and walked backward as he noticed Chief was getting back to his feet. "If he sees me, he might know me." He said to himself, trying to peep from the front of the office. Then, many of the staff members had gotten there to check what caused the sudden noise of Chief. "I'm fine, let's go." Chief said, holding on to his waist as he started walking up the stairs again and his guards were before him, trying to support. Once Nicholas saw all was fine already, he stormed downstairs and didn't even try to bid farewell to Nancy before speeding off. **** "I got the list already, they were just nine companies." Doris informed Craig. Craig got hold of this list and read through. "From what I read, Golden Ring Companies, Della Companies and Kenico Companies were the three companies shortlisted for the contract." "Yeah, this is the printed analysis of that and the brief history of the companies." Doris handed him some leaflets of some sheets. "Now, what have you read about them?" Craig asked. Doris smiled. "Alright. From my analysis, Kenico Companies isn't as popular as the other two companies. The company has never won any outstanding contract from the Government likewise. So, do you think they might have executed the C.E.Os of Golden Ring Companies just to get hold of the contract?" "It is possible, but, don't you think Kenico Companies would have tried to kill the board of directors of Della Companies because that company is ranked the best?" "That's through, but they might have killed these ones first, now thinking of getting hold of those directing Della Companies." "So, we have different ways. Either Della Companies or Kenico Companies." Craig said, itching his head. "Sure, but don't let us focus on these companies alone, who knows if this came from the family members?" Craig smiled. "That's intelligent." **** Nicholas walked into his room and leaned against the door. He kept on imagining how the door was opened and he felt Chief would come in. "I don't think I have ever been under that kind of tension, that's too bad." He said as he walked to the bed laid down. He closed his eyes for a moment, probably thinking on what he would do next, as he shook his head slowly. "I'm agitated." He snorted and sat up the bed and coughed. He took a glimpse at the television set and stood up quickly. "Oops..!" He smiled as he reached for the iPad inside his wardrobe. "I have to start listening to this man's conversations now." He smiled as he switched onthe iPad and retired to the wooden chair. **** "What do you think Anthony would do if he discovers the truth?" Vivian asked Victoria as she took a seat beside her. Victoria smiled. "If you were in his shoes, what would you do?" She questioned, packing her hair to a side. Vivian sighed. "I don't really know, but I would be so disappointed that it would be hard to forget that kind of mother." "That's how he would feel, that's it." Vivian wiped her lone tear as Victoria spoke to her. **** "Man! I am not alright!" Frank told Gregory as he walked into the restaurant. "Anyways, it's lunch break." Gregory smiled as he welcomed him. "Why aren't you good and what would you like to eat?" "I don't think I am capable of eating anything right now. My mind hasn't been at rest, I had a sleepless night yesterday." He hissed, tilting his head. Gregory chuckled. "A whole boss ovee a small lady!" He laughed. Frank hissed. "I sacked her yesterday." He informed, looking into his eyes. Gregory frowned. "You wouldn't do such a thing, isn't she your girl?" He hissed again, unbottoning the first button of his shirt and sighed. "I really did, I did." He replied. "Why would you do that? Why? That's totally wrong, totally wrong!" Gregory exclaimed. "I had to do it because I felt she was rude. I couldn't take it any longer, knowing she had given birth before." "Do you still feel anything for her?" Gregory enquired. "I do, a lot!" He glanced at him quickly. "I have been feeling ill at ease since I sacked him, I have been sad." "Didn't you know you'd be? What's this guy talking about?" Greg clapped his hands together. "I never knew it would come to this extent. I couldn't sleep overnight, I was just thinking about her." He replied. "So, do you think you can go ahead with her?" Gregory asked. "I said I sacked her, do you expect her to like me still?" "You don't know ladies, you don't. She might have started having feelings for you, by the way, that son is a problem." "At first, I was proving that I wouldn't marry a woman that has given birth before, but now, I have no other choice but to have her." "What of her son? What will you do?" "If she accepts me, I'm going to let her send him abroad. I will sponsor all of that and Vivian and I will start living happily." "So, what's the next thing you wish to do?" Greg asked, glimpsing at his wristwatch. "Lunch break is almost over." He informed. "Will you accompany me to her house today?" Frank asked. Gregory was mute and both staring at each other. **** |
